We called 4.23.25 and were told we would have a check this morning, 4.24.25. You guessed it - NOTHING again! We are calling again today and if not, will escalate with law enforcement. Unacceptable! HORRIBLE PEOPLE! My wife and I stopped in to view and drive a beautiful car for our friend with means to buy whatever she wants but lives far away. My wife proceeded to the car and I walked into the building, only one customer in the building, announced our arrival, waved my hand to come outside and help us that we will be out by the car so excited. I managed car dealerships for over 27 years. I have grace, compassion and understanding. After 10-15 minutes, not one soul came outside to help us. I worked with an very inexperienced worker that handled Tags that caused me to wait 4 months for a tag. Juan was responsive but doesn't know what he's doing so to this day they still haven't given me one until I handled it myself. Absolutely worst place I've ever bought a truck from. Complete scammers and I will let you see the evidence! I bought a f450 with a price that was too good to be true. I was super easy in negotiation was all over the phone we came to an agreement and they would deliver the truck to me and take my other truck in on trade. Upon arriving it was pouring rain absolutely monsoon so instead of opening every door the salesman Marcus handed me keys I handed him my keys he took plate and was off like a prom dress. The very morning not even owning the truck 12 full hours I took a trip with my horse trailer up to Maryland for a show. Once I arrived I unhooked the trailer and parked at target parking lot. I walked back out and saw 2 men in my freaking truck yet I had locked it with keys in my hand!! I ran up said wtf and they RAN. Upon inspection the passenger door would not lock and was basically stuck like an old pick up truck type door to open. Odd right you'd think a truck you just bought would have been inspected. I called and said hey guys your lucky but I had a firearm and 10k in cash that they didn't find in the back of the truck and I want them to fix it upon my arrival. The salesman Marcus and Derek I was very calm with and that as salesman it wasn't their fault it falls on the man who inspects the trucks but I expect it to be fixed. We talked and determined instead of me driving round trip 4 hours + that I was going to get it fixed at a mechanic (the locking mechanism) oddly enough before Derek the salesman said oh we will just send you a 200$ check and call it a day and I said no I'm not going to accept 200 I want only what the truck cost to fix that's it. Comes out to 473$ I call Derek back say hey it's 473 and that's what I want not more not less. Manager tells Derek no we will only pay 200$ best they can do. At that point I get very heated and tell Derek tell his manager he can shove it where the sun doesn't shine that's not right that a truck they sold me was not even close to being properly inspected if a door won't lock let alone barely open. Then I go back and forth with the manager over the next few days and he says it shouldn't be that and I said I don't care it shouldn't have been that way to start I don't care what your scam dealership would have charged this is what I was charged and I expect it paid. I'm a man of principle. Then I get a phone call saying you need to apologize like I'm in 3rd grade saying you were mean to our staff on the phone and used vulgar language. Hell yeah cause what if my stuff was stolen all because you guys didn't properly inspect a very normal thing on the truck!! I have told the manager that if I don't get reimbursed I'll be seeking further action with council and they think I'm bluffing. Company switched from AnE finance to Affinity without any warning. Affinity decided to change my payment arrangements without notification and claimed I was behind on my payments. Next they threaten to report my car even though I tried endlessly to resolve the matter. Also explained my husband was diagnosed with cancer and we live on Social Security so I couldn't change my payment amount. On Thursday 7-17-25 they took my car and I had to cancel my husbands chemo treatment, and also had my husband's cane, wheel chair cushion, handicap placard and important paperwork needed for his treatment inside the car when it was taken. I purchased a vehicle on 11/29/25 and they offered me a vehicle maintenance/insurance package which they said was about $3,400 but when I went over the contract it was actually a little over 7k but I decided to do it anyway. They said I could cancel without any penalty within 60 days. Well, a few days after I made the purchase, I figured it really wasn't worth it. For the past 9 days I have called almost every extension on their phone line to reach Ricardo, the finance person to no avail. I've been told the finance team (apparently there's only two of them) doesn't come in till 11am, I've been told Ricardo is with a customer every hour I've called, I've been told that Ricardo was at lunch at 1pm (why is he on lunch two hours after coming in especially knowing that a customer is waiting on him?). I've even reached out to the salesman who sold me the vehicle, Quentin, and I've been given all kinds of false promises. Promises that the service agreement was canceled, promises that I would get a confirmation email, and even promises to call me back. None of them have been fulfilled to date. Recently I spent several hours negotiating to purchase a 2019 Audi RS5 VIN WUAPWAF59KA905455. Upon having the vehicle inspected it was brought to my attention that the original factory exhaust was replaced with a cheap aftermarket one. The right rear wheel is bent and a window seal was leaking. It seems very unlikely that these items were not found during the dealership's inspection of the vehicle. Furthermore, they're advertising the vehicle with Dual Stainless Steel Exhaust w/Chrome Tailpipe Finisher which is not accurate. In my opinion this is false advertising and had I known a $4,000 major component of the vehicle had been removed I would have not spent the hours negotiating a purchase. I would also not have incurred the inspection cost of $281.40. I reached out to the general manager to request a refund of the inspection fee. He had a low level manager, Josh, call and berate me. Josh admitted he had not read the inspection report and claimed their cars are safe and sold "as-is". I was completely okay with purchasing the vehicle "as-is" but the car is not safe with a bent wheel and the vehicle advertisement that I had responded to was false and misleading. read more

I originally rated this Mitsubishi service higher; however, after getting the bill, I am afraid I can no longer go there for service. I scheduled online and I clearly spelled out what I needed done (including my VIN #, and all of the parts and their code numbers). I even took the extra step of calling in and asking for an estimate (for Transmission filter and oil change). I was quoted a little over $600, which I had trouble believing but I accepted because the Mirage (a 3 cylinder econobox) has a CVT transmission and they need frequent fluid changes to stay in excellent shape. Anyway, long story short (and I am embarrassed to even say I paid this) the price was $807.00 (which was $241 in parts and the rest FEES????). There was even a $30 fee because I used a Credit Card (really???). The people were fine and the work was done well and correct, BUT the price was insane. I paid $900 at a Mercedes dealership for a similar service BUT that was on a Mercedes RV. The Mirage is a tiny nothing and the parts are supposed to be cheap (?) I can't tell you what to do, but for me, personally, I will never be getting my Mitsubishi Mirage serviced at Jacobs Mitsubishi of New Port Richey ever again...I couldn't afford to even if I wanted to. read more

Came to this dealership with a bank draft and repeatedly told them I didn't want them to run my credit. They convinced me telling me they could beat my current rate and if they didn't they would take $1500 off my deal. So I agreed but told them to only push it to 2 banks. Once they got my application, they pushed it to 10 different banks and when I called to complain, the manager JASON came up with some bullshit excuse. I'm so annoyed and the finance manager, GEORGE couldn't even call and explain why he did that. Not to mention they couldn't even beat my rate . The cars are shitty and the miles are way too high for newer cars. WARNING! Jacobs Mitsubishi changed the purchase contract price we had agreed upon after they had taken my vehicle as a trade in. They gave me this story that they had computer issues and had lost the contract. That they were going to rewrite the contract. This was a huge red flag as I had offered them a copy of their so called lost contract that they had emailed me but they insisted on rewriting it. They further pulled my credit a SECOND TIME without my authorization (for the rewriting of their so called lost contract. We all know how credit drops each time it is pulled. Once I saw what the new contract was, I told them it was not the deal we had agreed upon and I was no longer interested in the deal. Quickly they reflected and went back on the original price. All this was done after they had accepted my car as a down payment and I took the new one. Then they emailed me a new contract, however on the second page the interest they wrote was a lot higher and the total monthly payments had also increased. I called them up again and told them none of the numbers they wrote on the rewritten contract were what I had agreed to. I repeat; I had NOT AGREED with the changed terms and I no longer wanted to deal with them. I told them to take their car and give me my car back. That is when the Brazilian sales told me that my car had already left to be auctioned and I had to pay them $3,000.00 if I wanted my car back. It is against the law to sell the car of a purchaser when you don't have a completed deal. I further told them they needed to return my car no matter where they had taken it to and that I would not pay any amount for them to bring the car to the dealer. I waited on their call to pick up my car and return the one they falsely tried to sell me. I then received a written message from Javier that if I didn't return the car they would report it stolen!!!! A car they gave me the keys to. I could understand reporting it as a repo but STOLEN? Yet not a word about returning my car. Javier went as far as telling I would be deported. Let me make it clear, that simply because my English is limited doesn't mean I can be conned nor will I be intimidated as I have all legal and proper documentation to be in the USA. I have a work permit and have been working hard to earn my way and not live off of any government project. I didn't know that the car sales men at Jacobs Mitsubishi were also Homeland agents. If they were they would have known my legal status. Trying to intimidate buyers and switching contracts while increasing the interest and monthly payments is dishonest and illegal. On 11-12-2024, my son took his 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander to Jacobs Mitsubishi on US19 in New Port Richey, Florida, for three recalls, including a stop lamp switch replacement. He also requested a diagnostic for an engine warning light. The service center assured us that they would check everything with the diagnostic. The results indicated a cracked fuel cap, a fuel pressure sensor, and some minor upkeep and maintenance. Nothing was noted about the brake system in the status report. Upon picking up the car, my son drove 1/4 mile down the road and pulled into the left turn lane. He called me, stating that the car would only accelerate to 10mph and the brake pedal was stiff. I returned to the service center and informed them of the issue. An employee insisted that my son drive the car back, despite my concerns. When my son arrived, his brakes were smoking. The mechanics immediately inspected the cabin of the car, but did not check under the hood until they took it into the bay. I was initially told that the brake issue was a coincidence, and then informed that old brake fluid was causing pressure buildup. I insisted that they were not looking for the problem but rather an excuse for why it was not their fault. I requested that they reassemble the car, and I would take it to a reputable mechanic to diagnose the issue. The mechanic performed a visual inspection, revealing that the brake system was burned up, the front rotors were fried, and there were no brake pads left as they had burned off. The back rotors were fine, but the back pads were almost gone, and the car was not safe to drive. We were informed that we were fortunate the car did not catch fire. Upon further research, we discovered that over-tightening the stop lamp switch, which was one of the recalls addressed, could cause the exact problem we experienced. I tried to go to the dealership to talk to management but none were available. The employee that had my son drive the car back after reporting the issue said he was management but refused to identify himself. It took 5 days and me opening a formal complaint to Mitsubishi Automotive HQ to get any manager to call me back. Ray Sousa stated that they are not responsible for a car once it leaves the shop and Corporate can do any investigation they want. Do not have any work done by any of the dealerships as they all back each other up. read more

The salesman told us he would have the a/c checked as it wasn't blowing cold and a tire sensor was on so he would have that checked as well. Once it came to numbers, this car went from an $8000 car to a $12,000 car and they were gonna sell it "as is" so no a/c check or tire sensor check either. BUYER BEWARE!!! STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS!! We bought a 2019 Ford T250 high top extended van. Upon driving it home from dealership, the engine light kicked on. Contacted them IMMEDIATELY that next morning. They said bring it in, they'd look at it. What they actually did was clear the code to get the engine light to kick back off to make us go away. Turns out after taking it elsewhere to see what that code was, it is perm lockout code (which was over 30 days old since in perm lockout, we had the van less than 1 hour of this engine light kicking on). Turns out, we were sold a $41,000+ vehicle with MAJOR problems. They wanted to wait it out until extended warranty kicked in (per their employee, which turns out is ILLEGAL for a dealership to do, extended warranty refused the claim). So now to fix this problem that they knowingly sold to us, it will be another 4k which they flat refuse to acknowledge. Be VERY wary of this place. They will pass you around pretending to be of assistance, when in all reality they have ZERO intentions of remedying absolutely anything. We will be contacting a consumer auto fraud atty as well as the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles at the regional office overseeing dealership licenses. I recently contacted Jacob Mitsubishi regarding a missing Lugnut lock key. I discovered the key was missing when I took my car for a tire rotation at the store where I purchased the tires. Because I knew Jacob Mitsubishi in New Port Richey had done maintenance in the past, such as oil change (where the tech neglected to return the oil cap causing oil leakage) and check brakes, I knew they had the wheels off at some time between when I purchased the tires and now. The woman I spoke with at Jacob Mitsubishi NPR became very abrasive and argumentative. Yelling at me over the phone as she was reciting from Carfax where my car had been. I did not accuse them of losing the key. Just needed a solution to the situation. She never offered a solution and when I asked about removing the 4 locks, I was informed from her that the cost would be $189 for labor and $60 for 4 new Lugnuts. The call was overheard by the tire store manager and my husband. Needless to say, they will never get my business again and I had great success with a Mitsubishi dealer in Tampa. read more

During my experience with employees of Jacob's Mitsubishi of New Port Richey, one of the employees contradicted himself within a matter of minutes. He and his supervisor both knew they were wrong and made an extensive effort to cover their tracks. The name Mitsubishi, and especially Jacob's Mitsubishi, will always have a negative association. We went there to buy a used Tesla. I contacted "big Al" this morning to insure the car we discussed was still available. He told me yes. Got there car had been sold, so he lied to me to get me up there. Showed me a black Tesla that had chips all over the hood, did not appear to be an easy fix. He told me it would be fixed after I bought it. I said, no fix it, call me, and if suitable I would buy. No he expected me to buy it and then he would fix it. Not acceptable. We left after we got home I opened my console to find my registration and insurance card gone. I put them in there yesterday after the car was detailed , and I was planning on buying a car so I know they were in the car. GONE! They must have taken them when valuing the car. Purchased a used car from Jacob Mitsubishi. As a senior citizen buying a car is anxiety filled time. You know that the dealer is there to get the most money and profit for his dealership. Thus you don't want to be taking advantage of. Due to the internet Dealers post low attractive prices knowing they'll make their money on mandatory dealer fees, interest rates, option pkgs, warranties, and document fees. I accept the goal that I'm negotiating with the knowledge of where they're looking to make a profit and all of those items are on the table. However when they lie to your face and lie again when you're doing the paperwork it's simply fraud. First lie, your credit Union doesn't finance 2016 cars. Yes Achieva would have finance my car. When told my rate would be 8% I said no we're leaving. Then their finance guy swoops in to say they'll buy down rate to 6.5%, costing the dealer over a $1000. I agree to buy the car. In doing the paperwork I notice this figure of $1054. and asked what's that for, oh that's the amount we paid to buy down your interest rate. That's the second lie. They never bought down the rate. That $1054. figure was equity we had in our trade in. A few days later I looked up the bank where our car was finance and 6.5% was the prevailing rate, thus proof they never bought down the rate. When I called to complain to the finance guy he confirmed my suspicions and stated they usually try to make money on the interest rate. Had he just been honest and told me the truth I would have accepted it and knew they weren't making money on the rate and bought the car with 6.5% rate. What's really sad is that my complaint about the dishonesty of this auto dealer is prevalent thru the industry. I'm 76 years old and I have bought a lot of cars for myself and friends and it's the same now as it was 50 years ago. The minute you walk in you know you're in for a battle. Sales people have acknowledged if you are old, a woman or a minority they are more likely to be taking advantage of. It shouldn't be this way for the second largest purchase a person will make in his lifetime. I understand that I had a bad experience at Jacob Mitsubishi but over the years I've had bad experiences at numerous dealers. Sad to say its the standard not the exception. I'm only sharing this because he had no problem lying to our face 3 times. read more
