We've used Jacobson Heating & Cooling for furnace tuneups, AC checks, etc. throughout the past 7 years owning our home. They typically have deals before winter starts for furnace checks/tuneups. Recently we noticed that our central air conditioning unit was making a bit of a weird noise and didn't seem like it was blowing at full capacity, so we gave them a call. I was expecting a long wait for an appointment, since the temperatures were supposed to be in the 90s that week. To my surprise, they said they could send someone out that morning within a few hours! The technician showed up well within the timeframe and did a quick assessment inside to figure out it wasn't the thermostat, then went outside and told us the issue - apparently earwigs can get into the AC unit and prevent the voltage to pass through to fully power the unit (or something... basically, earwigs ruin everything). He cleaned it off and made sure everything else was in working order, and that was it. I was expecting it to cost $200+ but it was only $80, phew! We will definitely continue to enlist the help of Jacobson's in the future (we're already talking about getting the furnace checked well before winter). read more

We had a new furnace and A/C installed three years but have had continuing problems with the A/C. At the most critical times, the A/C will not operate. Sometimes we can turn the thermostat off and then on to get the condenser to operate. They have made made several service visits but the problem exists today. It appears we have purchased a unit that may be labeled a "lemon". read more

Their tech, Kevin, came out earlier than anticipated. We were having an issue with the air conditioner and he checked everything thoroughly and quickly. He also found a problem with the motor of our furnace and ordered a new part which is still under warranty. Jacobson quoted and installed a new furnace for me 3 years ago ,every thing was great delivery ,service and completion. I was very happy and had them take over both my furnaces and a/c with regular check ups all went well till this falls inspection . The technician did his tests and indicated my heat exchanger should be replaced and it was a significant job but good news part is covered by warranty. Cost will be $750.00 . Had them go ahead and they completed work and all is well . Technician gives me invoice for $750 and it only takes 2.25 hours for all work . Contacted manager and his. response is they charge a flat rate to install heat exchangers . customers beware your paying $333.00 per hour for labor for a simple job. read more

I have used Jacobson's before and have always been very happy with their service. I had them install a humidifier on my furnace last year (in December) and this summer I changed the filters getting ready for winter. Well since it has gotten cold I noticed that there was water on the floor by the furnace. So I called for service. Kevin came out and was able to find the problem right away; user error, I had installed the filter incorrectly. Because I called on Friday and that was my one year anniversary for the install, there was no cost for him to come and show me how to replace the filter correctly. June 7 2021. bad all around. have been a customer for over 30 years. called today after ac outdoor unit would not run. they installed carrier ac in 2016. new furnace installed april 2021 by another contractor. Jacobson told me to call the contractor that installed the furnace. they will not even service what they sell and install regardless if where the problem with ac resides.. over them and will never call them or recommend again read more

Greg and David just installed our new furnace and did a great job. They started on time, and even had their own electrician show up to the house. We needed a new furnace installed because we are going to be selling our home and the furnace was old and needed to be on its own circuit breaker. the furnace quit working. the thermostat is connected to an app on my phone which told me while at work the temperature in the house was 55°. so I called Jacobson's from work. their guy met me at home and in a half hour the heat was back on. he had the part in his truck. so thankful for their very speedy service. read more

I don't understand the very low rating on Yelp! I needed an AC unit for my home and did more than due diligence with estimates. In the end, choosing Jacobson's made complete sense. It's now November and my 22 year old furnace died three days ago. They came out the day I called and installed a new furnace the next day. From Michael's attempt to repair and Tom the sales man to installion by Greg and David and finally Tom (?) who did the tech and fine tuning I truly could not have asked for more professional men coming and going out of my home. Friendly and knowledgeable staff from beginning to end. They came out to evaluate our 17-year-old cooling and heating systems and made recommendations. Actually told us we did not have to act right away and there are no high pitch sales. So we waited through the winter and as soon as temperatures started to rise this summer we gave them a call.
