This place is filthy, the person taking order is rude. The food is not fresh, our beef tasted sour like it was spoiled.

The food was good for small business but they didn't have teriyaki chicken. So that was disappointing but the other food was good.

This is the closest Chinese restaurant in this area and it has done well at this location for many years. Glad to be a regular patron again. I grabbed a menu that was located by the door to the right and called the order in from my car. The appearance when you walk in isn't physically inviting as there are several hand written signs on the door...wear a mask, call ahead, no dine in, etc. It is a bit dark in the lobby so when you walk up, they almost look as if they are closed. There is a no touch policy. So the food and your payments are handed through these glass enclosures. No complaints, just giving details so you know what to expect. I haven't eaten here in probably 15 years. I got my old usual (yes, I remembered ), which was the chicken wings and rice. It taste just as it did years ago. I wasn't disappointed. Yes, like other reviews. The chicken wings look different, but the taste is consistent. It isn't bad. My food was hot when I got home. Sorry no pictures. I was starving. I ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken combo plates and when I arrived home with the food I was very disappointed to find out they had forgotten to add the sweet and sour sauce. In China they have a saying for this, "Only lacking a little." Meaning...what is lacking is the MAIN thing! My daughter also ordered chicken and cashew nuts combo. She could not find a single cashew nut in the food. What was going to be a very tasty dinner with my 2 grown kids turned into something extremely disappointing. Last Sunday we went to Jade to order supper for 4. Everything was really good, but a few things stood out, and at one item fell a little short. The crab Rangoon is different from what I remember getting there before, it was creamier than usual and had a much better flavor. Really really loved that. The General Tso chicken that I ordered for myself was supposed to be spicy. It barely had spice to it and the flavor Wasn't great. Nice people, quick service and good food. That said; DO NOT eat in the restaurant - get take out instead. The tables and floor were dirty, and unkept. I took guest there and was terribly embarrassed. My fault for not checking it out before hand but I'd read decent reviews and therefore was SHOCKED to see the inside dirty and unkept. When food was served it was all in to-go containers with plasticware. They are set up to offer good food to-go and have no intention of offering a dining experience. I've past by this place a number of times over the last few years, usually when I was heading to its next door neighbor, Country Kitchen, but today I ordered some take out. This is a small place with a very limited amount of seating, serving up the usual Americanized Chinese dishes, no different in most respects from 20 or so similar restaurants in Greensboro, though in retrospect, this place is probably a notch above based on freshness and portion size. I tried a couple of lunch specials which come with Pork Fried Rice - Kung Pao Chicken and Pepper Steak, both priced at $5.99. The food was out of the kitchen in 10 minutes, and the portions were very well sized, a true value meal at these prices. The food was hot, the ingredients fresh, though there were more vegetables than meat, and both dishes contain a version of the infamous "brown sauce" found so often in these dishes. This version was better than most, with only a little sweetness to it. The heat level in the Kung Pao Chicken dish was very mild. The folks here are friendly, the service fast, and the pricing is very reasonable - I'll try some of the other menu items before long. read more

A typical Chinese take-out joint, but quality tends to be inconsistent. I ordered two General Tso's in one order: one was moist and saucy, typical General Tso's. The other was dry meat and lacking sauce...I had to go back and ask for a side of sauce because it was just so dry and couldn't go down. The woman behind the counter was kind enough to give me a little to-go container without charging. Sometimes the crab rangoon's have little bits of crab and sometimes there is no crab at all. This is your stereotypical NY-style American Chinese food hole in the wall strip center storefront. It's been there for ages and changed owners a few times. It used to be very good, then it was very bad. Now it's somewhat in the middle, probably 3.5 really. It's my goto spot near my parents house when I'm too lazy to cook or ride into Gso. They also do delivery. My mom is big fan of the Moo Shu pork, although I contend she just likes the sweet plum Hoisin sauce. It's a good portion, bit heavy on the cabbage, onions and carrots while a light on the meat, mushroom and egg. One order is enough for two if you have a couple egg rolls added on. She also likes the moo goo gai pan chicken, it's a little tame for me though and again heavy on the cabbage and veg but a good version anyway. My Dad who almost categorically will not eat any "-nese" food will sometimes ask us to get him some sweet & sour chicken, high praise indeed but it's the standard packaged red goop that every place uses. I really love their Chinese bbq wings, especially if I can manage to tell them to make them spicy in my broken Cantonese or Mandarin. It's hit or miss getting them spicy though. But spicy or regular they are fantastic. Big meaty wings fried crispy then wok tossed in a sort of sweet, sour, salty, slightly spicy Char Su bbq sauce. (I got a hundred alliteration for that sentence LOL). I make a anal of them regularly, and they are our first choice on UFC fight night when me and the crew will finish off an order of 50 easily. I like the fried shrimps toast too, but it's 50/50 between perfectly fried or a hot soggy mess. The General's chicken is pretty weak, more sweet than heat. However the spicy crispy bean curd is a real winner. Spicy, sweet and a monster portion that always makes two meals even without eating the rice. Service is pretty spotty. 10-15min for pickup is the standard answer, but during lunch/dinner hours best to add 15m to that. They have a new counter person now that speaks great English and is very sharp, a big improvement from recent times. You can do a lot worse for American style Chinese around northern Greensboro, so give them a shot. read more

Today my family ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp Egg Roll, and Fried Wontons. All of the food was absolutely amazing. I'm so happy I found a good Chinese restaurant right down the street from me. The only area of opportunity or suggestion that I have is that I wish there was a lot more meat in the fried wonton. When we last went to jade (last wednesday) my husband and i ordered different food. I ordered chicken and sweet peas, while my husband got the vege lo main. after when we got home and finished eating my husband got food poisoning from the vege lo main. We had to go to the er and stayed there for a couple of hours. He said the sauce tasted weird and which looking in there even in a small kitchen like that it shouldn't look as dirty and un-hygentic as it did. Sesame Chicken, not so good this time. I haven't eaten here in probably a year or more. The last time I ordered Sesame Chicken there were large pieces of chicken that were fried crispy and stayed crispy even with the sauce. This time there was more breading than chicken and it was a soggy mess! Not at all like it used to be. I just couldn't eat it. Jade is one of the few Chinese takeout restaurants in the rural area of McLeansville, NC. The food is decently priced and you get your money's worth. I typically order a chefs special (large portion) of the sesame chicken and it is very filling. Their other entrees are good but the only complaint I have is that the food is very hit or miss - either crispy or soggy. I have learned to ask for extra crispy when placing my order and everything turns out fine. The employees are very friendly and patient and they are always eager to serve. We have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants around Greensboro, Burlington, and Reidsville. I think this place is probably our favorite. The crab Rangoon is a great balance (I usually prefer mine sweet, my hubby likes his crabby & savory, this place pulls off kinda both). Their chicken on a stick is a hit with our kids especially. Their tea is good, too! An extra bonus for us: it's one of very few places on the closer end to our house (we're out in the country, not really close to anything). I wish we would've tried it sooner! Jade chinese restaurant is the best chinese take out in greensboro. Jades is a local busines not a chain. Jades is a small restaurant that can seat a small number of people. It has two bathrooms and is an over all clean store with an A from the health inspector. Jades has a very big menu to order from with many appetizers to chose from. Jades offers a lunch special or combo. Jades will give you a free half gallon tea when you spend more that 20 or so dollors in there store ( not included in lunch special.) The food tastes great, its is always hot when you order it. the only time the food is ever cold is when you call in and you drive to slow( the lady told you itwould be " 10 min" ). The service is great, and the staff is friendly. Out of all the chinese take out places in Greensboro Jades is by far the best deal in town. read more
