    Steam 9. Pork Dumplings
    Devon E.

Husband and I had a craving for Chinese so ordered some delivery via GrubHub. Even though it was done through GrubHub the food was delivered from a China Wok employee. We got everything we ordered and faster than the estimated time. I tend to order the same Chinese regardless of where I order, I like what I like! Our meal started with a pint of Hot & Sour Soup. Soup had the good traditional taste, little spice as intended. We also shared an order of Steamed Dumplings. Came with 7 dumplings of a standard size. They were cooked well; filling was a little bland but good. For entrees we both got Combination Plates which come with Chicken Fried Rice and Egg Roll. Most Chinese places its pork fried rice so that was a little different. I would say their fried rice is pretty basic, had a little cabbage and onions but no peas, carrots, or corn like some places. I like the inclusions for varying taste and texture, it also helps everything not look so brown., so it was a little disappointing for me. Egg roll was nice in crispy, even with delivery time. As it was chicken fried rice, I got Roasted Pork Lo Mein (normally would do chicken). The Lo Mein was tasty and did have some nice vegetable inclusions. Hubby got the General Tso's Chicken as his main entrée. He felt it was lacking the spicy aspect that kind of differentiates it from Sesame Chicken, but still tasted good. Overall, I would say China Wok satisfied the craving and I would order again, but nothing we ate was particularly special. Standard Chinese take-out taste which is common most places in the area I will say their combination plates were enough food for 2 (maybe even 3) meals and were very inexpensive so that for me is also a positive.

Honestly best Chinese for the buck around town. Those combos I posted are $8 each. Incredible taste, juicy, great portion! You want great food for a great price, don't WOK, run on in!

Food tasted horrible. Rice undercooked. General tso sauce thick for once in my life so that was really weird. Jus terrible.

Ordered for delivery, & although it came fast it was a disappointment in taste. The steamed dumplings were too doughy & were not cooked all the way. The fried chicken had too much breading on it and was over cooked. The bits of chicken in my chicken fried rice was dry & hard, almost like the rice had been sitting for a while. My other combo was missing it's side of fries, but they did send the delivery guy right back to my house to deliver it to me after I called. The only good things about this meal was how fast the food came & the egg roll & crab Rangoon were good.

Small place, 6 tables and counter service.

That may be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I got the student special which runs you about seven bucks. It comes with either an eggroll or a soda and there are about 10 entrées to choose from. The fried rice was the most unnatural yellow-orange color I have ever seen. I feel like I just upped my cancer risk in eating the a few bites that I did. Fortunately I wasn't tempted to eat too much because it was terrible and tasted nothing like asian fried rice! The chicken and broccoli entrée was subpar with a thin flavorless brown sauce. If you are in the area and craving Asian food, there are better options (albeit slightly pricier) within the Tate Street area. These include Don Japanese noodles, Taste of Thai, Boba House and Sushi Republic.

Great food! A little more pricey than I expected but the food is worth it! Love the crab Rangoons!!! Everything is always hot and fresh !

Worms in the food! Do not eat here!

This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). Not sure how old the interior photos are on their Yelp reviews but looks better in person. Dude running the place was waiting on tables, answering the phones, taking orders at the front, bossing people around in the back and bringing the food out of the kitchen and serving it HOT! He was a one man show today and killing it! Plus he was so nice. About the food. I ordered an Eggroll and Curry Chicken with fried rice. The eggroll was not the best I've had but it was good. It tasted fresh and no signs of the red pork that you sometimes get (thumbs up).The Curry Chicken sauce was really good. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were fresh and crisp. My only complaint would be to not serve green peppers with the yellow curry sauce. It's my own personal preference because peppers give me heartburn. I will go back for sure to try some other dishes and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for relaxing ambiance and fresh, delicious Chinese cuisine.

We didn't order them this time, but they're definitely on the list for a future visit. Everything we did get was packed with flavor. The crab rangoons and pork dumplings arrived hot and fresh, and the Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken, chicken chow fun, and garlic beef were all very tasty. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find. That aside, this is a super solid takeout option for flavorful, authentic, and fresh Chinese food.

Let me be clear for those who think that this is New York Chinese cuisine. It most certainly is not. If you want your standard fair good authentic Chinese cuisine, go to Golden Dragon. That restaurant is closed because I believe the family goes on vacation for about a month a year. They will reopen on July 21, 2026 Good for them. They work hard and they give their customers quality service. Golden Dragon has been around for decades and has always given its customers great food and service. Since Golden Dragon was closed, I decided to decided to try China's Best yesterday to order a family meal. I did it online to avoid any confusion on what we wanted. And was told that there would be a 15 minute wait. Lo and behold, we get there and we wait an additional 20 minutes. When we come home to eat the meal, virtually, nothing is edible with the exception of premade egg rolls and the orange chicken. The pork fried rice we ordered was substandard. I have never had boneless barbecue ribs that were so overly salty and sweet in my life; not to mention being overcooked and having a slightly burnt taste. The fried chicken wings were overcooked and hard. The sweet-and-sour chicken ordered was overcooked and hard; with only a half container of sweet-and-sour sauce included. There was no soy sauce or duck sauce included with the meal whereas usually Chinese restaurants put those condiments out for customers to get at their discretion. I don't know about you, but I like money. So when I pay $56 for a takeout order which I paid gas for to travel to get; only to find that it was an unacceptable mess of a meal, I tend to to appear, to say the least, disappointed. Whoever cooked this meal saw what they were giving their customer and appeared to be completely fine with short changing that customer. Unacceptable! There are plenty of restaurants in Greensboro to go to who strive to give their patrons a quality meal. So I give the biggest word of caution to those entertaining the idea of going to China's Best. In all the years we have been getting takeout, never had an issue with the accuracy of our orders. They have nice sized crispy breaded wings. Food cost are up everywhere. 2 combo plates, small order of wings, and wontons set me back $42. The noodles were cooked perfectly, nice and saucy, and they even offered it spicy--which I've never been offered before. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. Personally, I wouldn't mind a little more cabbage in it, but that's just preference. The fried chicken wings really surprised me. Usually I end up throwing wings in the air fryer to crisp them up more--but not these. They were already crispy, fresh, and flavorful straight out the container. Now let me talk about the sweet and sour chicken... I've NEVER been a fan. I always thought it looked too breaded and soggy, so I avoided it for years. When I opened my order and realized that's what I got, I was low-key annoyed but decided to try it anyway. And wow--that ended up being my favorite item. The sauce was perfect, and once I dipped it myself, it completely changed my mind about sweet and sour chicken. The soup was also really good--super flavorful with that rich broth and those sesame oil "gold spots" on top (you know it's good when you see that).
