I typically do not visit three star restaurants, but some people swore Jade had amazing, high quality dim sum. I took the chance and grabbed a few items with my fiance. We had the baked custard buns, steamed bbq porn buns, shrimp and chive dumplings, and Chinese brocolli. We took our order to go and brought the goods to a nearby park and ate together with a gorgeous view. Everything was great. I wish the custard buns and bbq pork had more filling, but Everything was so damn fresh tasting. I recommend doubling up on the dumplings because they are A+, filled to the brim and with a great outter layer. Their hot oil is very high quality and had a great pepper flavor. I was nervous when I saw the cook also cash us out with their gloves on. If any of the owners read this, please ask staff to remove and replace gloves when handling transactions. We're always looking for an old fashioned Chinese restaurant. Nostalgia, I guess. Jade Garden looked like a possibility. We were seated immediately, given menus and water. They weren't very busy but our server was very efficient. We ordered a combination meal that came with hot and sour soup and a bowl of won ton soup. Both soups were really good. The hot and sour soup had lots of tofu and it was not super spicy, but delicious. The won ton soup had 2 won tons and it was good, too. When our meal came it was pretty disappointing. The chow mein was hot, and it was fine. The almond chicken had way too much breading but it was white meat inside. We pulled off the breading. With a name like Jade Garden and many 5 star reviews I would expect great food, but not the case. Stopped by for a lunch takeout, ordering the Indonesian fried rice with shrimp and chicken. Asked for medium spicy and turned out it wasn't even mild, Bland tasting big pile of rice with tiny pieces of shrimp chicken, carrots, peas other tiny veggies. The takeout bag also contained plastic fork and spoon, napkins, 2 packets of soy sauce and one fortune cookie. Not sure on the 1-3 stars, but I took a shot at this place by the train station and let me say the food is excellent. Its not a fancy place but the people are nice and the food is excellent. A little reluctant about ordering from here due to their 3 stars at the time of this review. But I have ordered delivery from them via Uber eats and have not been disappointed. I have had their orange beef, which was flavorful and crispy the way I like it. I also had the honey walnut prawn which is as tasty as most places, except the prawns were large and the dish was a larger serving than most other Chinese restaurants. I have never been interested in Shui Mai, but I gave it a try and was not disappointed. I can't give a real review on it because I'm not sure how it compares to other places. But I will definitely order it again. I gave this place 5 stars because my food didn't take too long to arrive, the food was hot, good portions, and freakin delicious. read more

Third time ordering from here and like other reviews, Jade Garden has legit Dim Sum. I, too, read other reviews, specifically the one from the guy from SF. Moved up a few years ago from SF area and can attest - this spot is good, esp not being in Seattle. Best dim sum found that is close, with the border (to Richmond/Vancouver) still not all the way open, this is the spot. Wish this was closer to Bellingham, but not too bad a drive. read more

No bean sprout or onion or anything. The sweet sour pork had no pineapple. A few pepper pieces and onion. NO chowmein. Instead they sent egg foo young. But that was questionable. I'm so disappointed. Never going to order from them again. When I called the restaurant the lady kept telling me that I ordered the egg foo young. Blink and you will fly by this forgettable corner shop off Broadway and 31st [south of Pacific). Like a lot of Chinese places in Everett, it's a bit unkempt and dingy and it doesn't help that they are still only doing takeout now despite the allowance if indoor dining. That said, i ordered a kung pao chicken lunch combo which came with the entree, pork fried rice, spring roll and hot and sour soup plus a moderate array of dimsum, and an order of general tso chicken. The dimsum included siu mai, bean curd roll, steamed bbq pork buns, and Sticky rice wraps The kung pao was ok, not particularly flavorful and the hot and sour was strangely sweet. The star of the show was the siu mai - easily comparable to those found closer to the ID in terms of size and authenticity. The bean curd rolls and sticky rice wraps also received favorable accolades. The general tso chicken was good, if a little unspicy. All in all, not bad and some good. I went here for dim sum on my way to work. For every dim sum restaurant, I always try the steamed shrimp balls (ha gao) and the shiu mai. Honestly the shrimp balls were huge, but just tasted bland, rather I could have done the same work by just steaming some frozen dumplings as well. The shiu mais were big, but were still kinda on the salty side. They were steamed ok, so not the best and not the worst dim sum I've had. I would definitely prefer the dim sum at the Jade Garden in the international district in Seattle or the dim sum places in Richmond, BC over this place. read more

Best Dim Sum in Everett (small menu but great!!) Shui mai is heaven and the steamed spareribs are delicious, the jalapeño really makes it for me. Sizzling rice soup is amazing, broth is so tasty. And please please please have the Hong Kong style noodles. If you still have room try the fried rice, any kind, or the sticky rice in lotus wrap, they are both sooo very good. Our family loves this place. It's nothing fancy and very family friendly. We come here almost monthly for some good late night dim sum. The dim sum menu is small, but it has all the basics and my favorites cooked to order.
