Found this place late at night, and I'm so glad that they were still open! Everything was so good! The fried rice was amazing and the sweet and sour chicken was awesome. My favorite thing was the egg roll. I usually don't eat the egg rolls, but this one was different. It was big, crunchy, and full of goodness. Ordered Steam vegetable dumplings with the rest of my order. Arrived home noticed it was meat[pork] dumpling. I called the restaurant to notify them of the error. The woman at the restaurant insisted i did not request vegetable and they don't sell it, only meat. What prompted me to write this review is the rudeness and unprofessionalism. Just moved to the neighborhood, and tried the closest Chinese places. I was delighted by Beijing's food! While it is definitely a hole-in-the wall, take out, Chinese-American food place, it is a substantial cut above most others in that category. Food was fresh and ready quickly. The steamed dumplings had a distinctive flavor, and the sauce for them was obviously made, or tweaked, in-house. The spicy chicken curry with carrots, onions, and snow peas was delicious, and they happily left out the onions for me. More unusually, the ratio of vegetables to meat was far different than most places. It was about 2/3 vegetables and 1/3 meat, compared to most places that dump in tons of meat and just through in a few vegetables. I have even been charged for extra veggies elsewhere. We shall keep coming back! One of my favorite Chinese spots in Fairfield and Bridgeport! read more

This food was actually the worst food I have ever had in my life. My dog eats better than this. The dumplings looked like they were dead skin with soggy dog food inside and the dumpling sauce was thick and viscous. At least they have us white rice with the earful chicken. Not! The rice was basically brown and was clumped into a massive chunk. I'm not done. The wonton soup tasted like fish water with chlorine and glue in it. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Picked up dinner for myself late on Friday night. The soup tasted like they forgot to put any broth in it and they just used water. The fried rice was totally mooshy like it was instant rice cooked with too much water. Vegetables tasted like they were yesterday's leftovers. I was starving with no food in the house. I ate some and just couldnt eat it - it was that bad. I called the restaurant to complain and said that I was coming back with the food for a refund. The woman on the phone said that I if I had eaten any of the food that they would not give me a refund. I told her I will never return. Beijing is not deserving of the other reviews and has a lot to learn about customer service. Zero stars. read more

This place is bad, really bad. I should have known from the other one sentence reviews that something was up. I just moved to town so I'm trying to figure out all my favorite take out spot, so this place just missed a big opportunity. Anyways, placed a huge order...$70 worth of food. Beef teriyaki was over cooked to almost inedible. My husband even questioned its origin..if you get what I mean. The orange beef wasn't orange at all. Instead it had just a couple huge chunks of orange rind that you inevitably get in your mouth and it was bitter. The veggies they serve? Mostly big pieces of onion. What is that? Two entrees we ordered were shrimp entrees... And you know what they were? Those tiny little baby shrimp you get at bad restaurants. On top of all this awfulness, I ordered chow mein. I'm also the one that chose this place and paid the bill so you would hope they would have gotten my order right... Nope. Chow mein by rule of thumb is crispy friend noodle dish very close to lo mein.... What I got was a pile of slop mostly cabbage in some sauce with a tiny shrimp. They told me chow mein is shrimp and vegetables... I'll have to upload a pic to show you what they consider vegetables. And it doesn't end there, they were terribly rude about it... Never again... Don't waste your money. I'm not just saying that.... I don't have high expectations but this place is the pits! read more
