I love how early Jade's opens! I have a young toddler who can be quite a bit to manage at dining table and just wanted some space so we didn't disturb other people's experience and we felt like we had the whole space for our own. The food was delicious and hit all the right notes. I love the creativity in bánh mì bún bò huế; I love how the cuts of meat layered up and we could dip in the bbh broth, just like a french dip sandwich but make it vietnamese! The shop was clean, airy, bright. Durian avocado smoothie was authentic and so good. Vietnamese coffee could be better without the sugar; we ordered black coffee thinking it would be just plain black. My bad, should have clarified upon ordering. I had a duck noodle soup on a previous visit and the portion was so big, it had so much meat and was so good. I wish it would be a permanent menu item instead of being a weekend special. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Based on the menu, there seems to be many authentic Viet dishes here, as well as some fusion options. Both options are definitely my kind of food. When I walked into the establishment, my first impression was this place is so cute! Lots of cute Asian decor, and because it's holiday season, Christmas decor as well. Also, they had a piece of roasted pig hanging, so it definitely gave an authentic feel. I ordered a lot! No regrets on any dish - all the food and drinks were delicious. My favorite part is the heo quay, roasted pig belly. They made it PERFECTLY. The meat was so moist and tender while the skin was crispy. Very well flavored too. When I need pig for a party, I will definitely order from here. The banh khot were bigger than normal but still very good! Nice crunch. The bun Bo hue banh mi is very unique! I am a huge fan of bun Bo hue so I hope they add on the traditional noodle version of it because their broth is fantastic! I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to find a good bun Bo hue anywhere, let alone Utah. The service was great! They even brought out fresh whole chilis at my request. Great family owned place. Came in on a Friday afternoon for lunch, it wasn't busy when we got there, which I liked. The girl who rung us up was very friendly, and so was the ladies who came out to serve us our food. The place was clean and cozy, our kids thought the little trinkets around the place were cool. We had gotten the pork potstickers and pork spring rolls, they were crispy, hot and fresh. They were very generous with the filling, and the sauce to go with the spring rolls paired so well with it! We also got the pork and shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce, it was pretty good. We also tried the banh knot, and it was fried to perfection. It was buttery and had a nice crunch! For drinks our son had a mango smoothie, it wasn't anything special and was a little more like an icey slush? I got the sugar cane juice, and it was very refreshing and sweet! My man got the Vietnamese iced coffee, and it was probably our favorite thing we got! It was smooth and creamy, strong coffee which he really enjoyed. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the SLC area. It's kind of hidden and without an extensive menu but their dishes are freshly made, great prices and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring your order to you. Along with traditional dishes, they have an instant ramen bar so you can pick your ramen of choice and toppings. They also serve boba, Vietnamese desserts, roast duck, pork belly and Asian merchandise and toys. There's plenty of seating and the dining area is well lit with plenty of parking. We ordered the daily special which was a duck noodle soup, the banh khot, the pork belly and the pandan waffle. Everything came out hot and fresh. It wasn't the normal pho dishes I'm used to, but i don't know Vietnamese food or treats very well so I really enjoyed trying all the new to me dishes. I especially love always having lettuce to wrap my meats with pickled daikon and carrots and cucumbers on the side. The deli has a very home feeling to it with some other vendor items for sale and a cute couch seating area. It reminds me of a restaurant that might also be a home. This place has become my favorite banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) place, but this is also the only place with Banh Khot (mini pancake with rice flour, coconut milk, topped with shrimps. Crispy on the edge and soft on the inside. Their crispy pork is not greasy as it look. Adding it with pickled daikon radish and wrap it with lettuce, dip it in the sauce before you gobble up the whole thing in one bite, my mouth is already watering. All the texture, crispy, soft, sweet, sour and savory, all at once. The interior is very interspersed. I'm so happy I finally made it in to try this place! I loved the smell of all the deliciousness I got the moment I opened the door. Super spacious with lots a seating, even with their merch displayed through out. The banh knot was my favorite! That's my comfort food and were perfectly crispy. I've always wanted another type of "fast food" service that had some Asian dishes either to go or to be able to have a quick bite. Jades corner is run by the daughter of previous grocery store owner Tay do. I was pretty excited to see that their menu had some good selections based off Vietnamese cuisine! Every weekend they always advertise something different that they will be serving which is great! They also added an additional "noodle wall" which is awesome where you can choose from a variety of noodles, and a cold freezer of toppings. I've never seen this in other establishments. We got the crispy pork belly rice plate with char siu, and I got the fried pork chop plate with added fried egg. Simple and quick but delicious lunch! I'm posting this with hesitation because I want to keep it my secret. This place was so good I already can't wait to go back. We visited on a Sunday and it was nice with very prompt service. We tried quite a few things, and I was impressed with absolutely everything I tried. I was impressed with their service and the quality of the food we tried. We had the fried shrimp appetizer, so crispy and yummy. We also had the Nem Nuong (grilled pork sausage) spring roll, with just the right amount of crunch and very fresh. You get 4 large rolls per order! My entree was the crispy pork belly and rice ;all rice plates are served with pickled veggies, sliced tomato, and cucumbers. The pork belly was crispy on the top and sliced into amazing bite-sized pieces. The pickled veggies complimented the plate. We also ordered the chicken pho, which happened to be the daily special. The broth was seasoned just right, and if you know pho broth, you'll know that no extras need to be added to enjoy the flavors of the soup. Now let me tell you about the next meal. It was instant ramen but not just plain old noodles because they have a ramen bar! Something I've never seen in Utah. It was beyond instant noodles. They have a wall of instant ramen that you can pick from. Then, you pick your protein from a freezer full of options. After a 4 step process, you pick your add-ons, and all noodles come with green onion and loaded with cilantro. They are then cooked together and served to yummy perfection. This concept I've seen in nearby states, but now you can have it at Jades. The place also offers packaged goods and desserts, like che thai (Vietnamese fruit cocktail), the best I've ever had. They offer fruit smoothies with actual real fruit. Complimentary fruit infused water. An array of juices and coffees and no boba. They explained they want to keep friendly and not compete with the nearby food vendors who sell Boba drinks. I was highly impressed with the food, super friendly service, and all-around great people and place. I even heard a little bit about future plans for the restaurant. P.S. We stopped by here after the airport so it was very convenient. They had a good menu and importantly, banh khot, which may be seasonal? There's a small section with desserts and a make your own ramen noodle bar! So cute. I ended up just ordering from the menu, which was the crispy pork belly rice bowl. The food took quite a while to come out though, even though we were the only ones there. For my dish in particular they had the roast pork hung in a station so I'm not sure why it took a while--maybe they were trying to serve everything at once. I was a little disappointed that the port belly was a bit rubbery. Maybe they could at least re-air fry it so it tastes warm? Banh khot was great. Super crispy! Reminds me of baby banh xeo. However, in the middle of choosing a ramen to grub, I couldn't decide which kind of noodles to get, so one of the members in the front assisted me in selecting the perfect instant ramen from their ramen selection. The guidance was helpful and enthusiastic which made the experience not only enjoyable but also educational on how the station works. This resulted in me getting the "Jjajangmen" black bean noodles with fried eggs, and WOW were they amazing! For only 8$?! They were cooked enough to not burn your mouth and savory to enjoy.
