Discounts, selections and great customer service…read more For a kitchen upgrade we decided to add an 84" tall appliance garage with roll out shelves for all those cumbersome countertop accessories. Matching 17y/o cabinets was beyond easy. Custom cabinet maker or re-face everything to match. Oh No! Staff member took our phone call and found what we were looking for in a cheaper option. Still ALL WOOD! Not that particle board stuff they do not carry. We went in 2 days later and immediately shown to 3 in stock. She cut open boxes until she found one without any imperfections. Paid for it. Offered a military discount. Now we have 3 weeks for the contractor to pick it up. Ordered the roll out shelves. It's going to be a fine appliance garage. If you don't at least walk through the store to see the savings they offer, you will be doing yourself a disservice. #UpCloseSavor XP

At these prices, that shouldn't be too too long.

What a great bathroom remodeling company! Michelle did a wonderful job designing a low-maintenance,…read moresafe shower remodel for our narrow 1931 bathroom. The room looks so bright and clean now, the new fixtures work beautifully, and cleaning takes almost no time at all. Plus, we now have stylish grab bars, a non-slip shower pan, and a larger drain that won't get clogged with hair. Michelle suggested removing some wall tile to extend the new Onyx wall slabs in the shower enclosure to the door molding, and we are really pleased with the result. The 3-person installation crew, led by Kevin, got the whole job -- including replacing two toilets -- done in 8 hours. They showed up on time, were very pleasant, and they cleaned up after themselves. There were a few minor issues after the job was done, and Michelle sent Matt over. He made everything perfect, and he was just as nice as the rest of the crew. Columbus Bath Design gave us a fair price. They are one of the best contractors we've had in the 24 years we've lived in this old house.

The took all the time I needed in the show room with lots of professional suggestions that I wouldn't even think about since I'm not in that business. There were ton's of scenarios to choose from and even more counter and vanity samples. As for the actual work on the job, CBD had some of the most able and professional craftsmen that I've run across. These guys were on time, worked diligently, contained demo dust and debris very well and took a lot of pride in how they installed the new product. That last part was very important to me. Not one of them treated the remodel like it was mine....It was more like they were doing the work in their own homes. It was flawless. During the project, they asked me my preference as to locations of towel and TP bars and soap caddies in the shower and bath and the direction of the floor being laid. They always left the job each afternoon in a clean and livable state. I could go on but you won't be dissatisfied with Columbus Bath Design. Wayne Tope

But skipped the final step of calking my sink back in. Even tho it was clearly on the checklist of things they were supposed to do. So I had to go out and buy some and do it myself after they left at like 7pm. That sucked. But my biggest complaint was that the communication from the office staff and my so called project manager (Chianne) was terrible! One part was my fault. I got an email about the measurement scheduling, but I didn't actually open it because it looks like spam. It doesn't say the company name or a subject. Just the name of the project manager. So if you don't know that persons name, it looks like spam. But I owned that. After that mix up I was told I would be scheduled for Friday of that week but I would get a call on Thursday to give me a 2 hour window. I never got a call. A driver called me on Friday saying he was on his way. But I wasn't prepared for that and had to turn him away. So I call and talked to a different person about how I never got a phone call with a time. This person said my project manager told her that she called me and I didn't answer. THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Your business model literally says honesty in it and you have managers lying about your customers. When I told this new manager she never called me she literally said, I knew I shouldn't have trusted her! So that's crazy! Finally got scheduled for Monday now. At 8 am on my day off. The measurement guy comes. He does his thing and he also tells me that the manager lied about calling me! Finally at the end tells me I'll hear something about an install date by Friday or at the latest in a week on Monday. By Wednesday I still heard nothing! So I called AGAIN! They said materials were in but they would call me tomorrow for scheduling. They didn't! Surprise! Finally got a date scheduled and held my breath that they would actually show up. They did. And I'm so glad, because now I can be done with this company forever! If I could have gotten out of this a month ago, I would have. But when you order with Home Depot you're stuck. Home Depot told me when I ordered that I was looking at a 3 week install. IT TOOK 2 MONTHS! Also I Called out Chianne on lying about me and not doing her job and there was no apology. Asked to be transferred to her boss. Left him a message. He never called me back, SURPRISE! So no accountability on their part at all. Awful. Just awful experience. Do not use these people!

I've shopped A LOT at this store (spent over 20k the past year) remodeling a two-story house in…read moreGalena. While I'm pretty knowledgeable about most things when going in and making a purchase, I've found that many of the staff here at this location are not. Recently we had some blinds cut as we finished up our remodel and the first batch we had cut was by a very experienced staff member and his cuts were perfect. The second time we went back a different guy cut the blinds (we had to find the boxes for him, he didn't know they even had the product and told us they didn't have them, until we showed him where they were). When he went to cut the blinds he told us he didn't use the cutting chart with the machine and just eyeballed them according to our measurements. Guess what? We had to return three of them because his cuts were so far off they didn't fit our windows. His cuts were also extremely sloppy, jagged, crooked, etc., and yet this guy worked IN the blinds section, so he had no excuse. Another time I was in the tools section and asked the associate assigned in that section about a masonry blade they had in stock. She was utterly clueless. She had no idea what a masonry blade was or what it would be used for. Basic stuff. Obviously no training, yet this particular associate (a middle-aged woman who I know has been there a long time having observed her before numerous times), couldn't tell you the first thing about the blades in stock. She was like huh? And walked away. I've also noticed that when you are in the electrical, plumbing, lumber, and tool sections, do not expect any help unless you are willing to wait in line at the front desk or pro desk. I've personally seen associates in these sections see you in an aisle and do an about face and walk down a different aisle to avoid a customer who may have a possible question or even avoid greeting them as they passed. This is not an isolated incident as I've observed this many times. In the tool sections (the highest profit section of the store) you almost NEVER see associates in those aisles. They should have someone their constantly. It's almost impossible to find associates in that section unless you go to the pro desk and request it. Considering everything is locked up in cages it's a major pain. When i worked for Home Depot 20 years ago as a high school and college student they were firing the associates at stores across the country (order came down from HQ), for associates that were observed avoiding customers, etc. They need to start doing this again. I also know where the break room is in this store having been a former employee years ago and almost every time I'm at this location (the breakroom is just off the lumber area), you can hear all the associates in the break room laughing and jabbering away. Why aren't they on the floor working? Again I've observed this many times at different times of the day. Like were talking groups of people not just a few people on lunch or 30 minute breaks. Are these folks getting paid to just sit in the break room for hours on end? Seems like it. Inexcusable. If HD HQ knew this, heads would roll.
