Highwire Coffee Roasters in Albany is a hidden gem tucked inside Flowerland Nursery, perfect for coffee lovers who enjoy a cozy, unique setting! This is my go-to spot on Solano Ave. The location inside Flowerland Nursery makes it extra special, you can sip your latte while surrounded by plants. The coffee is consistently excellent, the baristas are friendly. It's a small shop, but the vibe is warm, welcoming, and worth the visit. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

I've seen Highwire Coffee Roasters in Oakland's Prescott Market but didn't get a chance to try them out since it was late in the day, but alas, today I did. Located within Flowerland Nursery is Highwire Coffee, so you get to sip & savor your cup of coffee while basking in the beautiful flowers. It was a special treat since they were holding their annual Winter Market for 2 days. There were food vendors, chocolates, sauces, & honey to be explored, which made it fun. Anyways, Highwire not only served coffee but Chai. I asked for a recommendation between the 2 Chai's(Tipu Masala or Kashmiri Chai) & got the Tipu Masala. It was aromatic with fresh chai tea & spices, the sweetness was perfect for me & would order this again as a coffee alternative. Love being surrounded by flowers & succulents while enjoying my drink from Highwire.

Was strolling down Solano and had a matcha craving. I heard that this place was really good, so I decided to swing by. I loveeeee that there is a flower shop right next to it. Everything was so beautiful and peaceful. I could picture myself getting up early and grabbing a matcha and reading a book here. The staff were very attentive to my requests and super nice to everyone. People were bringing their dogs and it felt like great community energy. As for the matcha-- woah!! It was so so good. The depth of the matcha was immaculate. You could tell it was not watered down and it definitely kept me a little too energized afterward. I can't even complain because it was so delicious. I would come here again.

Super cute, located at Flowerland Nursery. We got the strawberry milk latte (my friend always orders it, it was my first time here)! They described it kind of like cereal milk, which I agree with, I personally couldn't really detect strawberry flavor. It was a more milk forward latte but good! I don't think they had straws. They have a unique menu! Fun to get a coffee then walk around the nursery. A local food company was also doing a food pop-up on site. Easy to get street parking for us today even on a Saturday morning. Would go back if in the area!

This place has a beautifully creative location in a nursery on Solano Avenue. They are usually pretty busy, but given the cute location it's for a good reason. I've been here a few times before, and liked their Mexican Mochas. However, this time they no longer have that drink special, so I settled on a regular iced oat milk mocha. For $8, I was actually pretty disappointed. The mocha was super watery and i could barely taste the coffee. I can't recommend this spot for their mochas, however hopefully they have better options in the future.

Funny enough, I've been to Highwire on multiple occasions with other friends but never as a customer. Craving a chai, I made a beeline here while walking my puppy. I'm happy I was able to finally try their well-received drinks and that I could take my puppy too since they're dog-friendly. The atmosphere here is immaculate! They operate out of a small coffee shop trailer inside of a nursey. There are a couple of tables, chairs, and benches in front of the trailer to sit at. It's so peaceful sipping on your drink, chit-chatting, all surrounded by flowers and trees. Customers are always happy and smiling and dogs are always so sweet here! I found the service to be super chill and friendly. My drink was made at record speed which was appreciated! My best friend told me long ago that this was her favorite place to get a chai. So of course, I had to get one! I opted for an Iced Masala Chai with Oat Milk. This chai got me wired--it had a great blend of spices, bold, and aromatic. For chai lovers, this is a fantastic one. For those who prefer a weaker and creamy chai, this might not be for you. I'd come back again to try their other chai offering or a matcha latte! Highwire Coffee Roasters has multiple locations throughout the Bay Area, this one in particular is found inside of Flowerland Nursery. It's the perfect one-stop shop to browse or buy plants and grab a cup of coffee or tea! Find the trailer tucked to the left after entering. Parking is ample and free on Solano. I'll be back again and again and will be sure to bring my friends and puppy!

Highwire Coffee at Flowerland - Heartfelt Service & a Hidden Oasis Highwire feels like one of those rare gems you stumble upon when you're not even looking--tucked quietly inside Flowerland Nursery, it's easy to miss if you don't know where to look. As someone who appreciates structure and planning and also values warmth and meaningful experiences, this place hit both marks. When I first arrived, I wasn't aware of their operating hours--there was no clear signage at the front, and being attached to the nursery added a bit of confusion. That said, I noticed a group of patrons gathered around the coffee shack, which reassured me that I was in the right place. What truly stood out was the staff. I placed my order just five minutes after closing, unknowingly, and not only did they still take my order, but they did so with genuine kindness and absolutely no rush. That small gesture? It says everything about their customer service. I felt compelled to apologize once I realized, but they made me feel welcomed regardless. Their energy was calm, patient, and sincere. I ordered a cortado, and it was crafted with care--bold yet balanced, just how I like it. It came out quickly, and it was exactly what I needed after wandering the nursery on a warm day. There's a quaint seating area near the shack, and you're also free to walk through the nursery with your coffee in hand--something about sipping coffee while surrounded by plants just felt grounding and comforting. They also offer pastries and light bites like empanadas and bagels, which I made a mental note to try next time. The whole experience was quietly beautiful--no over-the-top flash, just solid, heartfelt service and quality coffee in a peaceful setting. Hours of Operation: Monday-Sunday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

I was in the area and I needed to get my Matcha for the day and saw this place. What a very cute place to serve coffee within a garden nursery. This is just my vibe. It was pretty crowded for a Sunday morning, but I guess it was the usual Sunday morning crowd. It's definitely a neighborhood favorite as I drank my Matcha latte with straw syrup. I walked around the nursery, looking at plants and all the cute things they were selling. I am a shopaholic by nature so I had to refrain from looking at things I don't need. I definitely don't need another plant to bring home. If I were to spend a Sunday morning, just being by myself, I would have definitely sat down and drank my Matcha amongst the green babes.

A friend referred me to this coffee shop. It's next to a plant store. It's outside you just order at the cute little airstream. There's a couple chairs and tables but it's really grab and hold. I ordered a rose latte and my husband ordered a vanilla latte. My latte was okay there was nothing about roses it. No taste or rose petals so I was a little confused. The taste was a little strong. My husband's coffee was pretty good. Overall we had an okay experience.

I adore this place. It is all outdoors so it's especially nice to go on non-rainy days. Great drinks. Lovely nursery views. Tasty pastries. (Note to management: I do wish you carried breakfast burritos or something more substantial for those of us who are very hungry in the morning).

Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.
