He made sure the car was detailed and ready for us when we arrived to accept delivery. We had one issue that was handled perfectly. The 172 point GM CPO inspection showed the tires at 10/32's of an inch (nearly new). Right after getting the car, I took it to Discount Tire who found the tires to be at 5/32's (needing replacement at 4/32's). I sent Dan an email and within 10-15 minutes, William in Service called me. He said that there had been a mistake on the inspection and agreed the tires were original to the car. He offered me a free replacement of the tires and asked what kind of tires I wanted. I told him and they were promptly installed them, leaving me a very satisfied customer. We live nearly an hour away from Fiehrer but will be back the next time we need a vehicle!

The first major issue involved both engine and transmission concerns. The Infiniti technician recommended a full engine replacement, yet instead of following that recommendation, Infiniti chose the cheaper route--repairing the timing chain and topping off fluids. The transmission issue was never addressed. Six months later, the engine failed again. Once more, the technician recommended a new engine, but the claim was denied because the cost of replacement--combined with the prior timing chain repair--exceeded the vehicle's value. After six weeks of fighting, escalating the issue, and preparing to involve an attorney for a potential bad faith claim, Infiniti finally approved the engine replacement. This approval only came after it became clear the initial delay and partial repair had directly contributed to the failure. Just two months after the engine replacement, the transmission failed. The repair cost was approximately $10,000. Despite the vehicle having only 100,000 miles--and already needing both a new engine and transmission--the transmission claim was denied because the total warranty payout now exceeded the vehicle's value. Over the last five years, my family has spent well over $200,000 with this dealership. Yet Infiniti was unwilling to invest $10,000 to stand behind their product, honor the spirit of their warranty, or retain a loyal customer. Instead, the pattern appears to be delaying or minimizing repairs until warranty limits are reached or exceeded. I will never purchase another Infiniti. Based on my experience, Infiniti does not stand behind its vehicles, does not value customer loyalty, and prioritizes short-term cost savings over long-term trust. Save your money and don't buy an Infiniti.

The brake caliper failed a day later and had to be towed back. Expectedly I was angry, flukes happen and I get it but the failure happened on a part that is responsible to my safety. Even though I lost my temper at Dalton, he didn't yell back rather kept his composure and said he would prioritize my issue. Later that day Ricky the manager from Foreign Exchange gave me a call back apologized and accepted responsibility for the parts failure at no charge to me. THIS!!! Is what I look for in a mechanic! Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone stands behind their work and makes sure that you have a good customer experience getting things right. I will continue to do business with Foreign Exchange because they prioritize professionalism, believe in the quality of their work and when things go awry they warranty their work instead of putting the onus back on you.

Anyway, our Schmitt Mazda salesman, AUSTIN BEAVER, was phenomenal and made every effort to secure the best "deal" for our now "new to us" pre-owned Mazda CX5. While it is truly a "seller's market" at this time for this particular vehicle (high demand!), Austin did all he could to get us rolling -fairly- in this fantastic car. They even took our "crippled" trade-in at a very reasonable value! Another feather in the cap for a highly rated brand! Want a Mazda? Jeff Schmitt is THE place to start. I'm glad I went to see it as the CarFax didn't disclose the total of the aesthetic damage to the car but came out of the test drive liking most of what I'd seen. I then spoke numbers with (who I assume is) the sales manager, Mitch. I told him I needed a day or two to think about it, and that I'd very likely have a check on his desk within a week's time. I left excited. The morning of the second day, Saturday, I get a text from a sales associate telling me that the car had been sold out from under me. No call, no text that there was interest on the car and that I needed to act now. Nothing. I understand that they're a business and their business is to turn over cars and make money- the staff was friendly, and the sales manager was straight forward- this chain of events does not inspire confidence. How is someone to have any faith in a making a deal when words were broken with communication wayy late. I'm disappointed.
