I contacted Ocala RR and stated to their service department that on our RR the driver side door closing mechanism failed and therefore the driver side door does not close and easily would fly OPEN during driving. Not fiction. In fact there was a NHTSA recall on this very year & model for that exact reason and condition. We were informed that though our model type and year were in the recall for this dangerous condition, our specific vehicle was not--even though it was the exact same problem. Ocala RR would not do anything. No recognition or concern for the safety of RR customers indicated at all. Does that tell you everything you need to know?? Ocala RR gave us the 800 number to RR National. They don't care either. RR National made clear they only will repair the RR vehicles that NHTSA said they had to repair--and yes they understood I was telling them the door on a vehicle they manufactured could just open up while driving the vehicle. Advice: I would check to see if my vehicle is on a recall for this safety issue because when that mechanism fails there is literally nothing holding your door closed. I originally leased my car through the Fields Jaguar dealership in Jacksonville and they were horrible. My AC went out in the beginning of March '23 and they didn't have a service appointment until May 18th (mid June if I wanted a loaner) so I reached out to Jaguar Ocala to see if they could service my car. They were so kind and responsive and honestly went above and beyond to try to help me. I specifically spoke to Amber in the service department. She was very knowledgeable and was honest about when technicians would be in or were available so I wouldn't waste my time because I live in Jacksonville. I really appreciated her transparency and helpfulness. If you are considering buying or leasing a Jaguar or Land Rover I would strongly suggest you stay away from Jaguar Jacksonville (or any Fields dealership) and go to Jaguar Ocala. We recently purchased a pre-owned high-end luxury vehicle from this establishment. Since we live about 5 hours from Ocala, we had the vehicle delivered to our home. I have 3 complaints, one was that the sales person asked for a tip (after making the sale)! The second was that they gave us a hard sell for the ceramic coating and showed profound disappointment when we declined their overpriced service and chose a local vendor from our town. DECEPTIVE BAIT AND SWITCH ADVERTISING AND BOGUS PRICE OFFERS This is a tough market for cars. Dealers tack on market pricing that is often higher than MSRP. It is December 2021 and this dealer is doing exactly that but they are adjusting the price AFTER they advertise a lower price and even worse AFTER you get an offer. WATCH OUT or you will end up paying a ton more if you dont pay attention. I tried to buy a car advertised on the internet. When I called the dealer they said 5K more although they advertised it at a lower price. They cited market adjustments. I wanted this car and was actually told by a dealer staff person to use a buying service called TrueCar. I got an email offer using TruCar saying this dealer in Ocala made a negotiated offer at the lower pricing. When I follwed up the dealer again said 5k more and said the ad pricing has mistakes. TrueCar in the end was no help and ultimately said there is nothing they could do as dealers have control and they could not force the dealer to adjust the price. The dealer just wanted to mark up the price after the offer and did everything to make the "car deal" a horrible activity with their pricing tactics. Oh and they have no problem spending your money as they tried to say that the extra 5,000 would come back at the end of the lease. They must be kidding? Dont fall for that. You are financing an extra 5k because it is added to the lease capitalization fee and the final value of the car is the same regardless. Bottom line. They are arrogant. Do not stand behind offers and even try to baffle a customer with BS financing discussions as if your money grows on trees. Stay away or wait as there are plenty of Jaguar dealers and the time will come when they are dropping prices. Car shopping always gets a bad name and this dealer will contribute to that perception without remorse. read more

We started the process In the purchasing one of the cars, I finished an application they run credit, took all private information including ss# ( hard inquiry that lowered my credit score) We are also offered money as a security deposit to make sure the car is not gonna be advertised anymore, but the salesperson said as long as we submitted paperwork it's yours. Which we did! On the way to get the car it's (about 3 hours away) and sign the final paperwork. They knew we are on the way to finalizing everything. This is really a nice dealership. I only dealt with the sales side, so I can't say anything about the service department. My salesman, Mark Davison, was outstanding. He was enjoyable and personable, and not pushy or high pressure. He was knowledgeable about the cars and just good to work with. The sales manager was also friendly, but not in a fake, professional salesman way. Mark took all the time I needed and wasn't concerned about the time. I didn't buy the car I was looking at, as it sold before I could make up my mind. Mark told me it would move quickly, and I took too long. I will keep looking at their inventory and hope another F Type will come in, that I like. I will definitely buy from Jaguar if Ocala. read more

I sent an e-mail to them and did not hear back so I called and made an appointment for the next week. First thing they told me their was a $199.00 fee to find the problem which I had told them existed, They then told me I needed a alignment and charged $303. a quote from a tire dealer was $90.. They wanted to change the brake fluid $259 and the power steering fluid which I have asked many car collectors and auto tech people about no one does it or recommends it.The original estimate given was $1800. Then it went to $4300.I spoke to them and it went to$3800 . But when I picked it up they charged me $4582.40. The car is a 2006 Jaguar XJ VDP 39000. miles on it in show room condition but it is still only worth about $8000.They sent me an estimate of what they said were needed repairs with a cost Estimate of $8226.45 which would be more than the vehicle is worth.Their is more to it ,I was taken by overcharging and unnecessary work which may or may not been done. Well let's start with the good. I had been looking for a particular LR Defender in Georgia with no luck but found the one I wanted at LR Ocala. I normally don't purchase or lease vehicles out of state, but I thought, why not? The deal was made in a timely manner and they even delivered it to my home. I was completely satisfied with that part of the process. Now the bad! I have had this vehicle for over two months and still DO NOT have a permanent Georgia tag. I was given two temp Florida tags and was told I cannot get a third while I wait on the paperwork to be completed for my permanent Georgia tag. I called the Georgia DMV to see if I could get a temp tag until this process was complete and they said no, since I leased it out of state. Needless to say, the Florida temp tag expired and I now have a $80K vehicle sitting in my garage that I can't drive and get the FULL benefit of my lease. My sales rep will not return any of my calls or texts and I have constantly called the dealership to get a status on the tag process. I'm pretty irritated and tired of hearing the pandemic excuse. If I don't hear anything soon, I'm going to elevate this issue to corporate to get resolution. read more
