I drove four hours round trip to this dealership, a trip they knew I was making, expecting a professional and straightforward experience. Instead, I encountered a series of preventable issues that showed a lack of preparation, communication, and accountability from a brand that should uphold higher standards. Before arriving, I provided my pre-approval details, my highest approved interest rate of 6.74 percent, and my trade-in information, including that the vehicle had a co-signer. I made it clear that this rate was the top end of the scale from my credit union and asked that the dealership work down from there and show how their financing compared. Instead, they returned with a higher rate and no alternative options. Any dealership that values customer service would present the full range of term lengths and interest rates to demonstrate competitiveness, especially when a customer is transparent about their expectations. At no point did anyone mention that a wet signature from the co-signer was required before my appointment. If that had been communicated, I could have easily arranged it in advance. Instead, I drove several hours only to be told about it after arriving. To make matters worse, no one mentioned that I could have simply mailed the forms back in an envelope, which I later learned is a standard procedure. That lack of foresight and communication cost unnecessary time and frustration. A "pending lien" also appeared on my trade-in title, and no one at the dealership could clearly explain what it was for the first 15 minutes. Rather than offering clarity or solutions, the tone again shifted toward deflection, as if I should have anticipated their internal processes myself. When I arrived, I also noticed visible paint chips and a streak down the driver's side of the vehicle. To add to that, I later learned the vehicle did not include the Full Self-Driving capability that was represented to me in the listing and during sales discussions. That feature was the main reason I chose this specific car, so discovering it was not included felt misleading and careless. Throughout this entire experience, every problem somehow became the customer's responsibility rather than the dealership's opportunity to demonstrate professionalism. I bought a 2018 f pace s. It's not even a year and the engine has gone completely dead!!! I was sold a LEMON!!! So here's how they did me. I bought the truck was told that all trucks and vehicles on the lot were all certified, which was a complete lie, thanks Manny!!! I was sold the warranty, the highest price and most expensive, to cover the cost of any engine repair or failure. It was told to me that the service coverage I bought was for a person who wanted to enjoy the car and not worry about repairs or maintenance on the vehicle. I was happy with the truck! Sporty and FAST, until the thermostat reading kept over heating. The gauge would rise and fall continuously so I didn't pay it too much attention due to the fact it would stabilize to normal temperature. Then about 7 months of driving led to the heating and coolant system failing. I brought in the truck paid the deductible and was assured that all repairs would be completely cared for. During the process of getting repairs, they give me a 2018 Toyota Rav 4 to drive as a loaner which was completely unacceptable seeing that my vehicle valued way more than this vehicle. I told them that this needed to change and they did accommodate me with another vehicle but I had to get on a waiting list to get a vehicle of equal status and value of my car. This took 3 days. I finally get my truck back and in less than a day the check engine light came on and the coolant light was back on again. Which led me to believe that no repairs were made to my truck period!!!! I bring the truck back and in less than 30 minutes they tell me that I need a brand new engine, something that they already knew from the start, that I had nothing to worry about because the warranty service plan would cover it. Great!!!!! I thought as I drove away in a new 2025 Land Rover Discovery. I thought to myself, "they're finally getting it done right!" HA!!! What a joke!!! I get a call back from Brendan and he says, "Mr. Griffith I got good news and bad news for you. Bad news is that you have misfiring in multiple cylinders of your engine. Good news is you have been approved for a new engine, we're just waiting on parts to get the job done, but we are going to need $9500 to get it done for you!" WTH!!!!!!!! Wait, my car was just in your shop for several days and you mean to tell me that you couldn't see the misfiring before you gave it back to me?????? SUPER SHADY!!!!!! RIGHT???????!!!!!!!!! $9500 I said! No Im not paying that because this is the whole reason I'm paying top dollar for the highest priced service coverage so that I don't have to pay for this big expensive repairs. I mean this is what was told to me at the time of signing all the paperwork! Right?! WRONG!!!!!!!!! The price went from $9500, to 8700. From 8700 to 7500. From 7500 to 6000. From 6000 to 5300. And at this point with the fluctuations of prices thrown at me I have a clear vision into how SouthShore Jaguar does business. They don't care about the customer or upholding the word or signed service agreements, they're only concerned with getting your money. They are the absolute WORST!!!!! Took our Outback for warranty repair with $100 deductible. Pointed out a bolt missing from the engine. They said the bolt would be $7. I said, okay. A week later they said it was ready. Went to pick it up, and they said it's $268. I said. WHAT??? They said they did extra work. I said , No one called. They checked with the mechanic who said they only did the warranty work, nothing more. I popped the hood and saw they hadn't replaced my $7 bolt, either. On February 12, 2021, I completed an online deal to buy a certified 2018 Range Rover Velar First Edition with Luis Cuebas and gave my credit card for a deposit. The car was listed on Cars.com. I was going to fly into Chicago and drive it home after the snow storm had passed as I live about 800 miles away. On Tuesday, I get an email from Luis saying the dealership owner's wife had borrowed the car to go visit family and wouldn't be back for two weeks so I'd have to wait til then to pick up the car. I had already planned to fly up on February 21st to come get the car. Naturally I complained about this and Luis' manager, Jim Ottilie, called and told me the reason the car wouldn't be ready is the owner's wife had wrecked it on January 14th and it coverage for the repairs was being held up by insurance. He said the car was undrivable and would be out of the body shop in 2-3 weeks. When I viewed the car online it said No Damage History even though the car had been wrecked a month earlier and hadn't been fixed. Jim Ottilie explained they had 54 dealerships and sometimes there are breakdowns in communications. He pretty much told me I could buy it if I wanted and if not there would always be somebody else to come along and buy it. It's common knowledge that a wrecked car repaired isn't as valuable as a car that's never been wrecked, yet they never offered any price reduction or anything. Pretty much take it or leave it. I've never dealt with a luxury car dealer so unprofessional in all my life. Just be aware if you make a deal there because they're someone I wouldn't trust at all. The car is back online with the No Damage History claim removed and listed for the exact same price as it was when I saw it online. Someone will pay extra for this car and not realize it should be a few thousand cheaper. read more

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from here late last year. Great vehicle, and the process was pretty much on par with what I would expect from other dealerships. Not good, not bad, just a typical car dealer experience. I brought my car in for it's first service a few weeks ago, and I doubt I'll be bringing it back. First off, when the appointment was made, I was told that the service was covered since my car was still under warranty. When I got there, they told me they had made mistake and that the service wasn't covered. I'm guessing this was an honest mistake, but I live 40 minutes away from this dealership. What if I didn't want to pay for the service and wanted to just wait for the next regularly scheduled service? But now I'm already here right? Maybe it wasn't a mistake and was the plan all along. Whatever. My main gripe with this dealership was just the overall vibe and experience. This isn't the first luxury car that I've owned, so I have a good deal of experience in getting my cars serviced at luxury dealerships. This was by far my worse experience. If you haven't been to this place, you should know that it has a very beautiful and classy.appearence. Unfortunately, it's all on the surface. When I arrived, there was very loud rock music blaring in the service area. Not the garage, but the actual area where they greeted you, sat you down and checked you in. It was 8am in the morning! There also were 3 or 4 young women that sit behind the service guys, that I assume do the billing and invoicing. While they weren't bad, they were talking way too loud to each other at times. That combined with the overly loud music was just too much. Once I made my way to the waiting area, I was hoping for a bit of peace. Unfortunately, things only got worse. The dealership has a very open design, so I could still hear the loud chatter and music from the service department. But now I could also hear everything going on at the front of the store as well, and it was way worse. Several of the sales guys appeared to be having what sounded like a frat party. Very loud yelling, talking and laughing as if they were not in a place of business. This is a Land Rover and Jaguar dealership? Really? Did anyone tell the people that work here that? Lastly, and what really took the cake, was when they came and got me when my car was ready. Now it had been raining pretty heavily that morning when I arrived, and was still raining at this time. The service area was also pretty empty, probably due to the rain, time of day and COVID-19. While I was being seated and presented with my bill, I was looking around for my car. I didn't see it. There were really no other cars there, so I was confused as to why I didn't see my car. After I paid, I asked the service guy where my car was. He literally pointed outside. I couldn't believe it! I told him "you know it really would have been appreciated if you could have left my car inside, so that I don't have to go outside and get soaked in the rain". He offered to go bring it inside, but I was done at that point. Luxury dealerships are supposed to offer a premium service experience. I don't expect silence and violins playing in the background, but at least a higher level professionalism and courtesy. These guys haven't figured that out yet. I won't be back until they do. The jaguar driver was able to open his door and call an ambulance for the Buick driver who went into a coma with a broken back, broken pelvis, and massive internal injuries. I drew the 1968 Buick Limited and the 1970 Buick Invicta Estate Wagon, sent those to Flint, and went into production. Drove about 2 hours to this dealership for service, as it is the closest one to my house (my problem...I'm aware). A few months ago I took my Range Rover in, and it was a very pleasant experience. However, when I dropped my Range Rover off on Saturday (12/28), they gave me a courtesy vehicle and told me to have a good weekend...odd. So the service department called me an hour later and said they wouldn't be able to look at it until the following Monday. Fair enough... Monday (they were "very busy" in the shop - couldn't look at it); Tuesday (the assigned technician was "out"); Wednesday (holiday, so closed); Thursday (they were short-staffed and hadn't even looked at it yet). Friday, they try to say nothing is wrong with my vehicle and that they will bring me my vehicle. Come to find out, they did not look at the notes from my previous service a few months ago to know that a sensor was faulty. Only after me telling them to look back in their service notes did they THEN agree to fix the sensor. Saturday (they finally get the part and will work on it Monday). Monday (the assigned technician had the "flu"). Which brings us to today, Tuesday. A lovely gentleman delivered my vehicle to me, but the SECOND I drove my vehicle it started making the exact noise the service department said they couldn't replicate (and thus, could not fix). They wouldn't even put it up on a hoist to look at all the rust underneath my Rover causing the problem. So, now I have to drive even farther away to take it somewhere else to be serviced, as this service department has proven to be unprofessional and rather incompetent. This is by far the best car dealership I have ever been to. The car is always fixed with top competency, and the Service Personnel are always cheerful and cordial. The only 2nd Place , in dealers, was 42-43 years ago at World Wide Motors, Indianapolis.... Super service but still not as cheerful as South Shore Jaguar. I was a stockholder 35 years ago when it was privatised from British Leyland and sold for mere Pence per share. When Jaguar went to aluminum carrosserie, the cars became the best in the world for durability, active suspension, and Power-train parts material quality. These cars became so good in 2004 that when Peugeot- Citroen returns in 2023, a Jaguar car will still be preferable. read more
