My 1st time having Lunch at David Chen , I wanted to try a new place. The restaurant building is…read morebig , when you walk in, the seating area is half the building, there's plenty space for parking, I see a downstairs; party room perhaps? I was hoping for some authentic traditional Dim Sum entrees, but they did not have Dim Sum dishes, just spring rolls, shumai, wonton soup. Their menu has alot of traditional dishes that I'm familiar with. I ordered the steam dumpling, it was big & doughy, not feeling it, the shumai was ok, the pan fried chicken was good, fresh vegetables , they substituted the noodles, that I'm not custom in that particular dish, the Singapore mei fun was average with fresh veggies . The good thing about this place was the portion of the dish very generous. I went during lunch so service was quick and fast. . The place was dark , there were 2 other couples having lunch, so they didn't turn on the lighting. Base on the photos , the food and scenery looks vibrant and alive during dinner time. . They have alot of Asian culture decorations, they been In the community for 32 yrs; It's time to make adjustments and update the inside . The goldfish looks lonely no decorations in the tank, they have lobster on the menu but no lobsters in the tanks? I will have to go back during dinner time and experience it.

They do have a good variety of everything that you can think of as it comes to Chinese food. The service was very quick. We were served very quickly. The prices are a little bit high but you do get a lot of food. This is my second time coming here and I'm glad I did.

We started with the lettuce wraps which were amazing. The chengdu rice again which isn't my favorite, there's something in there that I don't like but I can't figure out what the flavor is, it's just not something I'm used to. The soup dumplings were amazing I love truffle and I'm so happy about this addition to the menu! The braised beef clay pot was so yummy and warm and hearty, perfect for a chilly day. The thing that I am still befuddled by is that I had stomach issues again the next day! I didn't even have the same menu items as last time so I'm not sure what the issue is. But it still won't stop me because I love Chinese food way too much lol.

A wonderful experience with the family and our son! They really set the bar high for great food and…read moreservice! We had a pretty large table and upon entering we were seated pretty quickly. You place your order on a tablet and then as the food comes out you can check out their sauce bar which also had egg rolls, fruit, jelly dessert, and some other items! Ambiance is casual and relaxed. They gave us aprons to wear to protect our clothes which we appreciated and they even had a mini one for our baby who was in a booster seat on the booth! Love their tom yum, tomato, and house regular broth. We ordered a ton of meat and veggies. Of course we also got the dancing noodles which was both delicious and very fun to watch. The staff was so nice to our baby! They gave him a free toy and also some kids food!

Seated very quickly and got the lay of the land. Ordered on the iPad. It is not all you can eat so items can add up quickly. Items are usually delivered with the robot. The soup base came by a server. Staff is very nice and checks in occasionally without rushing. Pork stomach and chicken broth was very flavorful. This can double as a soup dish. Ordered wagyu which was buy one get one free. It's a good deal since a decent amount came. The Angus short rib wasn't bad either. Lobster isn't usually what I order at hotpot but added a touch. Taro was flavorful. Even though it's a la carte, one can get filled fast. There is ice cream, fruit and jelly to seal the deal. Got some cute toys for saying the magic words to the wait staff. Big clean open space. Enjoyed for lunch since it wasn't overly busy.

The…read morepre-fixe menu featured 4 courses: - deviled egg. crispy egg paired with mayo - really yummy - second: octopus or quail. Both crisp and seasoned well - third: lamb or pig out or snow crab noodles. Everything was executed perfectly - the lamb I was superr impressed by, probably the best lamb I've had - just so well prepared. Noodles were also perfectly el dente - dessert: Chinese beignets. Never had anything like this. Good portion too Overall this was a phenomenal meal and IMO very reasonable price for the quality of food and being in NYC

At first, Tuome was actually a bit of a pleasant surprise. They served a complimentary scallion oil…read morepancake with cheese, shaped a bit like panipuri. The scallion flavor was strong, and surprisingly it worked well with the cheese and poppy seeds. It was probably the most interesting dish of the meal and raised our expectations for the restaurant at the beginning. But after that, it pretty much went downhill. For the appetizer, we ordered quail. The meat itself was fine, but the seasoning really didn't work. The smoked potatoes and the sauce were both very salty and slightly bitter. The sauce tasted a lot like hoisin sauce, but heavier and more greasy. We gave feedback and they did take the dish off, but what was quite ridiculous was that the server came over to explain that their sauce ratios are strictly made according to the recipe. Please... was she trying to teach us how to eat? Then we switched to their egg. To me, it felt like a supermarket deviled egg taken apart and reworked -- coated with a fried layer on the outside and then reassembled, with a bit of chili oil on top. Not bad, but really just very ordinary. It's not something you'd expect from a Michelin restaurant. For the main, we ordered the branzino. The fish itself was fine -- crispy skin and tender inside, no issues there. But the seafood cream underneath had the same problem: very salty. Overall, it felt like their seasoning leans heavy across the board, almost like they're trying to get you to order more drinks. The sausage sticky rice on the side was even more disappointing. It tasted like very standard Chinese-style sticky rice, honestly similar to what you'd get from a Chinese supermarket, and it was over-steamed -- the bottom layer was wet and falling apart. The most ridiculous dish was the pig out (for two). When we ordered it, the server specifically mentioned that the top part was specially prepared by the chef. What came out was just a plate of fried pork with two bowls of noodles. The pork was greasy and salty. It felt like they shredded lean meat, pressed it into blocks, and then deep-fried it, basically trapping all the oil inside. It managed to hit all the downsides of fried pork. By the end, it was overwhelmingly greasy. We thought the noodles might balance it out, but they were even heavier -- like a mix of peanut sauce and hoisin sauce, just doubling down on the richness. The portion is really more like for three; two people can't finish it. By the end, it was so heavy we were basically just drinking water to get through it. Overall, the whole meal felt like this: no real flavor, no real atmosphere, no real plating, no real creativity -- and not even a solid level of execution. It felt more like they recreated those "good-looking dishes" you see on Instagram, but only the surface, without any substance behind it. Honestly, I really don't understand why this place has a Michelin star. They even posted their press and mentioned that their roots are Asian -- but honestly, it feels like their roots are just hoisin sauce.
