We ordered 4 lunch specials, only 2 out of 3 soups came. One soup was egg drop which we did not ask for. One of the lunch specials should have had white rice instead of fried rice. They also forgot the soda that comes with the lunch special. When we called to let them know, the Manager was very rude and kept saying "you dont know what you are talking about". Ordered a few things via a 3rd party app, and food took over an hour to arrive. If it was stellar and fresh, an hour wouldn't be so bad, but we waited over an hour for food that went straight in the trash. Each of the 3 main dishes we ordered were inedible. Chicken smelled and tasted like it had gone off. Various fried appetizers were not even warm, and were rubbery/stale. The food smelled so bad that even leaving it in the trash was not an option so we sent it down the garbage disposal. After reporting this to the 3rd party app, I received a hostile phone call from the owner accusing me of scamming him out of $50 worth of food, and demanded to come back and pick it up! Please don't waste your money on this place. I am all for supporting local businesses, but only when they deserve your hard-earned cash. We're staying in the area for a short time and I can't imagine anyone ordering food from here as their "regular" take-out spot. The food is beyond awful, and the owner is miserable. read more

Everything we ordered was bright and fresh, well seasoned. The prices extremely reasonable and portions generous. It is conveniently located on Main Street near Northern Westchester Hospital. The decor is dated but the seating area is more spacious than it looks from the street. The staff is gracious and efficient. Good place for groups, and for kids. read more

Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing good to say in favor of the food cooked at the New Great Wall Chinese Wall Restaurant. The texture, the taste and even the doneness are all awful, make that disgustingly awful. On top of that, the customer gets insulted by the restaurant owner. Welp this place has officially went from great to almost non existent unfortunately this place is tanking for the sharks and just doesn't have the wow factor it once had 10 years or so back. I recently went to pick up an order of their Kung Pao Chicken. Thank goodness I ordered extra sauce because this dish would have been lost without it and very dry. The owners of this establishment are nice and friendly other then that stay away from this place with a ten foot pole its not good. Here are 5 important things about how this place is run that I have noticed through the years.. 5. Chefs sneezing and not covering mouth 4. Patrons running through kitchen to leave through the back exit passing more god knows what kinda germs by your food that is being prepared. 3 Food is very dry ask for extra sauce you will save your meal from more disaster. 2. Very cramped not much of a restauraunt with 3 tables. 1. Can someone please say DIRTY. This place from the windows to the floors are a hot mess and very dirty windows havent been cleaned it seems since the 1970's and the floors are disgusting looks more like a damn workshop. So all being said if you plan on trying a chinese place and are new to the area AVOID this at all costs. Try 28 kitchen instead or go to Rainbow Panda in Bedford Hills or Peking City in Katonah. the only thing i ever get once or twice a year is Kung Pao Shrimp & it is always the same & it is always awesome. last time was around Thanksgiving. if you sort reviews by 'newest', you'll find a bunch of recent bad reviews but they all seem to be from a bunch of whiners...muh food allergy/muh delivery-we always sit down to eat in there, i'm not saying it's a nice place to eat but the food is so good, or what i order anyway; that i am totally engrossed in the food experience. love the Great Wall & will continue to order my Kung Pao Shrimp (extra hot!) as long as it is there. read more

Ordered takeout soup and the baby corn and water chestnuts were rancid. First time I've ever eaten clearly spoiled food from a restaurant. We often get take out from this place. It's a pretty good Chinese place. We have never eaten in, but it does have a small seating area. The staff is always nice and have our order ready by the time we arrive. There is additional parking in the back so we never have to worry about street parking. read more

I have never been more disgusted and disappointed in my life. I work at the local hospital and we ordered food. Got the food , great awesome. I started eating cause I have low blood sugar and mid way I noticed something in my food. A black spec in between a green onion. Used my fork and low and behold I found a fly. I wanted to throw up right then . The owner/manager/cook was very reluctant on refunding us the money. We returned all the food that we ordered cause you never know. He tried to accuse us of putting the fly in the noodles. Saying "oh I trust you" WTF does that mean. All I wanted was something to eat and then you come at me and say I caused it?? It wasn't on top of my food. I mixed my food and found it. He said in China town we always replace. I'm like this isn't about replacing food it's about Proper hygiene in a food service setting. If a hair is found in ice cream (I worked in a creamery ) we destroy what we Have and start fresh ..if the customer doesn't want it we give money back no questions asked. A complaint has been placed with the dept of health. The kitchen didn't look to clean . And I hate to say that about a business. But god knows what's in your food.
