a 50th cake
Roxanne R.

We love Jaime's bakery. We have order cakes from here for years!!! Their cakes have been a part of many of our family celebrations. The almond, strawberry, and pistachio flavors are soooo yummy!!!

Amazing Filipino Bakery! The best tasting cake if you like moist and flavorful. I chose white almond and marble with butter cream icing. They have so many other cake flavors to choose from and icing. So happy the way my parent's 50th wedding anniversary cake turned out! Luckily, they were able to accommodate my request with short notice of 3 days. Uncle and Auntie are the best! She advised and helped me with my vision and design of the cake. I bought the cake topper and fresh flowers. When I picked up the cake, she surprised me and made my parents a corsage and buttoner with what was left over. Thank you so much for making their day that much more special with such a beautiful cake and added extras!!

1/4" marble sheet cake with buttercream frosting. Look at that beautiful craftsmanship.

I was looking for a last minute cake but didn't want a store bought one. Randomly came across Jaime's and saw the awesome handwritten cake decorating. I just needed a simple 1/4" plain "congratulations " cake for the following day and tho I felt maybe they couldn't do it I tried anyways. I saw the reviews about having a hard time calling in an order and there is no online option, but also those that have had a cake from here loved it, I had my mom stop in for me to place my order. Their hours were only during my working hours so I'd never be able to make it in store in time.. Price was very reasonable and they were able to take my order. Pickup was quick and easy, the cake was so pretty and that cake handwriting was outstanding. I love typography and having the ability to put good writing on cakes is a hard skill. So for a place to be able to do it so beautifully, I'm more than happy to give my money. But not only the writing, this cake was so delicious! I really wasn't expecting to have such a moist and flavorful marble cake. I ordered a plain white 1/4" marble with buttercream frosting. And navy blue lettering. They now have a continuing customer for my bday cakes because this blew me away. I'm really glad I found them. Going in and placing an order is no issue for me because this cake was worth it.

The gorgeous cake that my mom ordered from Jaime's for my baby shower!! It was so beautiful & so yummy!!

Just now getting around to reviewing this bakery (my baby shower was in July). My mom ordered the cake for my baby shower here because Jaime's came highly recommended from my cousin. The cake came out exactly how my mom & I wanted (see the picture I posted) and it was so dense and rich and delicious... I was glad we were able to go home with extra cake!! My husband & I are planning our formal wedding ceremony next spring and while we still have plenty to do before then, I know we will definitely come back to Jaime's to order our wedding cake!!

This place is awesome! I needed a cake in a rush I walked in at 10:30am and at 4pm I had a gorgeous cake that was delicious too!!! Thanks to Vanessa and the entire staff.

The inside isn't super large so the line was almost out the door. While I waited, it gave me time to look over all the pastries. Angie's is a Filipino bakery known for its authentic, fresh-baked goods. They offer pandesal (bread rolls), cheese rolls, pecan tarts and an array of different breads and pastries. I decided on the Ube Ensaymada and the Ham & Cheese Bread along with an Ube Latte. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ube Latte, it was made perfectly and wasn't very sweet. The Ube Ensaymada was coated in sugar and had the most amazing, Ube filling, it was absolutely delicious. The Ham & Cheese Bread was also pretty tasty. Overall, I had a great experience at Angie's Bakery. The staff were very nice and I can't wait to return to try the other pastries!

The bibingka was flavorful, light, and buttery--truly one of the best we have ever had. The ube latte was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of espresso and ube flavor. The pastries were fresh, and the bread was soft and fluffy. Overall, this is one of the best Filipino bakeries we have visited. The quality of the food, beverages, and customer service exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning and highly recommend it to others.

Snd at the end we were not sure if we were clearing our table or not. So it took us a few minutes walking around and trying to watch people. I'm still not sure if there were other things we could have ordered or if it is what you see if what they have for that day. We stood in line and that went very fast. Ordered the veggie slice and the marinara slice. When we got up to the register to pay she rang it up and said do you want anything else. Well I said do you have drinks available? You get to choose your tea. I absolutely love that. I got chamomile tea. But she should have asked if we would like something to drink or have a drink menu or something. There was just a disconnect with how this place works. And if it is your first time I'm clueless. The food was wonderful and they had plenty of ice water that you serve yourself. We were riding our bikes at the oceanfront so the nice cold water was great Pros and cons -Friendly staff, but not super informative -the food was wonderful, but not sure if that was the whole menu. -tea selection was good and my chamomile tea was wonderful, but I would have liked to have read a menu of what drinks were available. You known to make it easier for the person ordering. Inside and outside seating. And it was nice inside. Some of the seating outside had nice umbrellas. It does tend to get hot down at the oceanfront so I'm so thankful for all the different options. I want to go again but I want to go with a friend who will know how everything works

The sfogliatelle (shell-shaped pastry) is worth a trip from Kempsville. In addition to the great food, I have to send a shoutout to Erin. I was meeting a friend, she was late, not reachable by text or phone, which is highly unusual for her. After a half hour wait I was convinced my friend was having a health issue. I thanked Erin, explained the situation to her, and left to drive to my friend's house. Needless to say, five minutes later (still in the parking lot), I got a message through Messenger that my friend was safe inside the restaurant. Erin volunteered her personal phone to help us out and was very kind through the whole debacle. Almost needed a daytime glass of wine to recover!
