Good good in a beautiful location! Yes, Jamie's is a food truck cranking out a wide selection on seafood. We had the Perdido Lobster Roll made with lobster and ruby red shrimp served on a buttered, toasted bun just like in Maine. It was a good amount of salad in the bun. We also had the Crab and Mozzarella Parancini with remoulade sauce. They were wonderful! They had that great cheese pull. A definite try! Not your average food truck!! Delicious everyday options with specials. The special we tried was a poke bowl-delicious-with a soft heat that hit at the back of the tongue balanced with sweetness. It was missing the avocado-maybe they were out by the time we ordered. Kids meal was a good portion; shrimp the perfect balance of fry batter. Alligator balls were unique and enjoyable. A fun fresh seafood outdoor spot right before the bridge into Perdido Key near Fisherman's Corner. Got the grilled shrimp tacos with chips and salsa and they were excellent. Were prepared in a timely fashion. Great spot for casual lunch sitting by the water as you watch boats go by. read more

We were very underwhelmed. After reading the reviews we knew we had to try it. We got blackened shrimp tacos and jerk shrimp tacos. The blackened shrimp was not blackened. Both taco meals consisted of tortillas and shrimp with a little sauce. Nothing else. Very weird. We will not be going back. Unfortunate because the people were very friendly and sitting on the dock created a nice atmosphere. read more

I just ate here for the first time and I was seriously impressed!! Jamie's Local Seafood Shack is a locally owned and operated food truck located in Pensacola, FL, that has become a beloved destination since its establishment in 2021. The establishment offers a unique dining experience with its beautiful waterfront views and a range of fresh seafood options, such as shrimp, grouper, crawfish, crab, lobster rolls, and other delectable offerings. During my visit here this week, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Jamie, who took the time to engage in a friendly conversation with me. My honey and I decided to share a lobster roll, which, although not a traditional New England-style lobster roll, was packed with flavor and thoroughly enjoyable. We also shared some of the best crab claws I've ever tasted, and the accompanying fries were outstanding as well. I had the opportunity to sample the seafood chowder and was so impressed with its rich taste that I purchased a couple of larger servings to bring home for dinner. Actually it was a Low Country Seafood Chowder that was loaded with shrimp, grouper, and alligator sausage. Served with french bread. The chowder proved to be a fabulous meal that showcased Jamie's commitment to providing exceptional seafood dishes. In fact, she gets her local seafood only steps away from which is right next door. The menu has a great variety including tacos (shrimp, grouper, coconut shrimp, crawfish tails, and jerk shrimp) and sandwiches that include the lobster roll, 6 different Po' Boys, burger, hot dogs, and a cheese steak that is made with bread directly from Philadelphia. Cool! There's a number of baskets, including a chicken tender basket that all include fries and a very tasty pineapple coleslaw. Pretty impressive selection that's all made fresh and served with a smile. It's a good truck so no dining inside but outside there's picnic tables right by the water that's dog-friendly where you can watch the boats go by or the fishermen while you eat. Speaking of fishing, there's also a bait & tackle shop next door and good fishing spots just a few feet away on the ICW, which is perfect because they offer a "You Catch 'Em We Cool 'Em" deal and they'll fry, grill, or blacken your catch, very nice! This outstanding food truck is located under the Theo Baars Bridge, just turn west at the bottom of the north side of the bridge and drive right underneath the bridge. Bottom line: Not your average for truck but a hidden gem with waterfront dining and fresh locally sourced seafood. Their diverse menu features flavorful dishes like lobster rolls, crab claws, and the standout and Jamie's commitment to quality seafood and customer satisfaction makes that make a culinary must-visit destination. With one exception, this has been a reliable spot for fresh seafood fare. I particularly enjoy her Friday offering of softshell crab poboys. Always delicious except one visit when I came down with food poisoning after eating there. When I reported it, she was embarrassed and apologized so I'll be going back since all my other meals were so exceptional. Best in our neighborhood. read more

Solid food. We got the coconut shrimp, grilled grouper tacos, fried green tomatoes and the kids cheeseburger. The coconut shrimp were perfect, 5 out of 5. The fried green tomatoes were different in a great way. They were cut thinner and cooked longer to make them crispy hand heads for dipping. We loved them 5 outta 5. The cheeseburger was not loved by my daughter. It was a frozen patty, and even my kids know that's cutting corners 2 outta 5. The fish tacos were a split for us. The fish was awesome, but there was no texture with a slaw or pickled veggie inside. Just perfectly blacked shrimp with a sauce 3.5 outta 5. All in all we really liked it, but my daughter did not. Would definitely go back, but wish they had some crunchy texture to add to those tacos! read more

Jamie's is located at a beautiful location, on the harbor, with picnic tables at the water's edge. We ordered a shrimp basket, and we were surprised by the small, poor quality shrimp. They were rubbery, possibly reheated. The cole slaw and French fries were good. The homemade tartar sauce was one of the best I've ever had. Tried Jamie's for breakfast and ordered the food to go. In doing so I made two mistakes. 1 I should have brought my wife with me. 2 we should have at on location! Breakfast on the water is exactly what we needed here in Perdido Key. Yes there are places that serve breakfast NEAR the water no on the water. While waiting for breakfast I strolled through Perdido Bay Seafood. There is a bait and tackle store there also that gives us anglers something to do while waiting on the food. Jaimes food was ready for me before I was ready for the food. Sorry no picture of the food. I tilted the breakfast bowl on the way home and ruined the presentation. But, delicious! read more

On vacation this week, and this was our first dinner out after a LONG day at the beach. This place is FANTASTIC!!!! I had a lobster roll, fries and slaw. This was the best lobster roll I have ever had (admittedly those are few), it was fresh, the roll was soft, but also crispy and buttery with a fresh piece of lettuce and the lobster was chunky and seasoned perfectly. We didn't think to get pictures, but we'll be back!!! The fries were seasoned very well and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the slaw SOOOO GOOD!! It had pineapple in it, which added a perfect touch of sweetness. My husband had the blackened grouper, so tender and buttery and seasoned perfectly! Very delicious. His only complaint was that there wasn't more The portions sizes were plentiful. We also tried the gator jalapeño bites perfect amount of spice and crispness. The sauce that came with it was delicious! We are definitely going back while visiting this beautiful area!! read more

Absolutely admire and respect food truck owners/operators who take a risk in these tough times. The food is great, and if you're eating on the spot and have an issue they make it right. The fried fish and chips is outstanding and my go to spot when craving fish/chips with real malt vinegar takes me back home to my first Long John Silvers meal as a child (I grew up in desert southwest so back off LJS haters, fish came in stix form where I was raised). lol, eat local, support locals! read more
