A full service poolside bar and grill. One of the requirements of vacation is day drinking. It's even better when someone else is making the drinks. They offer a limited number of draught beers, a decent size cocktail list, and, canned alcoholic beverages. What better way to keep cool by the pool than with frozen drinks. Most of the frozen drinks can be made non alcoholic. My favorite was the piña colada. I added an additional rum float for a few extra dollars. I tried the margarita and it could stand to have a lot more lime and a little salt. The strawberry daiquiri was also another favorite. They offer a well rounded food menu. The appetizer menu offered standard fare. Including wings and nachos. Need a little more sustenance? I recommend one of the burgers or sandwiches. Feeling like something a little bit light? I recommend one of the rice bowls. Served with rice and protein served southwest, elote, or stir fry. We went with the hotdog. I was excited about the lobster roll bun it's served it. The bun was perfectly crisp and the hot dog well grilled and tasty. The chicken tenders were just ok, a little on the dry side for my taste. But the fries made up for chicken. They were cut like chips. They were perfectly crisp and very well seasoned. The restaurant is covered outdoor with seating over looking the Gulf. The vibe is casual and no shoes no shirt is completely ok. The bartenders are friendly fast and efficient. This is definitely a good go to spot for drinks and treats when spending a day at the pool or beach. read more

Great experience overall at the restaurant and hotel. It was very convenient to not have to leave the hotel for quick meals and drinks. The fish sandwich was one SMALL fish tender on a bun. I cut it in half and put it side by side to fill up the bun. Flavor was good though. Pina coladas were ok, tasted like a mix was used, but they were strong, so that made up for it. We walked in and it felt like a funeral....except a funeral would have had more people! There was absolutely NO ambiance, no beach appeal! I'm not sure if it was because it was off season but it was horrible! The guy at the door tried his best and did greet us but we left! We returned the next day to order a piña colada and it was the first time in over 30 years I've ever thrown one away! It was horrible! Pure sugar! Sad because this could be a hot spot and has a great view! I feel if I'm paying to be on the beach for vacation then I want to enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant. Didn't eat, just had a strong top shelf margarita! It wasn't cheap, but that's okay because it was a good drink!

I'm a local and it was my first time eating at this restaurant, but it was very bad. I ordered a glass of water and chips and dip. I waited over 15 minutes to be served and then when my chips arrived, they were soggy and chewy like leather. I paid over $18 for my entire order which is mind blowing considering the water was free... do not go here! read more

Dining on the coast can have same challenges, but our tall boy fire bird chicken sandwich stood strong. Right behind Fairfield Inn & Suites. For the price of about $20 for each entree, everyone received fair portions for the shrimp, fish and tacos. The fried foods were solid with the shrimp being the standout. The tarter & cocktail sauce seemed house-made and was tasty. Reasonable kid's meal prices. I'm sure we will be back for happy hour and to purchase food for our kids during the week. I would not skip this place but I definitely recommend ordering something simple. Stopped here with my wife after a few days in Mobile and staying at the nearby hotel. It was nippy outside, and even though they had heaters outside, we chose the indoor seating alternative. The bartender, Austin, came in, took our beverage order and explained the items on the menu and described a few items that we questioned. And off he went with our orders. It was pretty slow due to chilly temps outside. Our entries were delivered pretty quickly and everything was as described and quite tasty. The grouper filet, blackened was solid and tasty and was enough to share with my wife's salad dish and Austin was attentive to our happiness with the food and service. Great experiences there this Spring Break! Friendly service and delicious food every time. We were staying at the Fairfield Inn and ate there several times for lunch and dinner. The patio and bar overlooking the beach was perfect to enjoy the beautiful view! Ordering takeout for the pool or to take back to the room was also easy. We loved the tacos (blackened fish, shrimp, grilled chicken and brisket burnt ends), coleslaw, French fries (more like chips but not too thin or thick), Caesar salad with grilled chicken and chips with salsa, guacamole and queso. It's rare to find a hotel restaurant that does everything right, especially these days. Hoping we go back in the future! read more

This place is sadly not as good as it used to be. The kids meals are super lame- and they give you barely any fries ( our sons came with 4 fries). They are basically charging a premium for lunch you'd get at a school only like half as much food. We came here last year and remember it being so much better. It's a hotel restaurant. That about sums it up. It has a great spot on the ocean next to the pool. Great views of the surf and the sky. A great place to come watch a sunset and get a drink. It does have a full bar. The food is uninspiring, though. The chips and salsa are straight-up bagged chips and bottled salsa, canned queso, and store-bought guacamole. And some of the chips were stale and limp. I did have the southwestern bowl the next night, and it was better, but not anything I would drive an extra couple of miles to get. Since I was staying at the hotel, and the weather was crappy, I was kind of forced to eat there. If you stay at Fairfield, and the weather is nice, there are much better options available to you on the main drag in front of the hotel. read more

The "fresh fish" tacos we had today were extremely gross, obviously defrosted and served with an extremely salty sauce and stale salty chips. The male bartender and blond female bartender were great! Service was great, they were friendly and made us feel welcomed. We ordered a few cocktails and lunch. My husband ordered a chili cheese hot dog with coleslaw, his hotdog was cold. He said it tasted like they pulled it right out of the refrigerator. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was ok, it tasted like your usual bar food. I was disappointed in the grouper fingers, there was no flavor, the breading was bland and the fish was kinda dry. I would definitely go back for a drink and the view but would probably skip ordering food. read more

The food & drinks were great, no complaints. We had the margarita shrimp tacos, the fish tacos & chicken tenders basket. The service was a little slow and kind of chaotic at times but it's to be expected. They're new and gotta work out the kinks. They could utilize an expediter or food runner and that would help a lot from what we saw. The servers just seemed a little flustered. I'll definitely be back soon to see the changes and to check out the inside of the restaurant because it wasn't ready yet we were told. It's a great location with great ocean views and no doubt they'll bang out once everyone settles in. I'm glad they opened a new restaurant there and really hope they succeed. We checked in to the hotel onsite and was tired so we went to Fish Heads knowing it wouldn't be great. That evening we were pleasantly surprised by the wait staff and the food was okay. We decided to go there again on the weekend and I ordered Nachos that came out cold...like refrigerator cold. I sent it back and it came out cold again. They did nothing with it and just sent it back out. The manager was there and never came to our table to apologize. He looked to be on a weekend bender.
