First we just came here because of yelp reviews. And it didn't disappointed! The place is very very simple, in the country. The service was great with a packed place. Everybody very attentive and friendly. The food was cheap and delicious. We asked for the Worx breakfast samplers and it was cooked properly and the food was fresh. What most impressed me was the cleanness of the catchup bottle that came refrigerated by the way. Great breakfast, service And very cheap! I too recommend this place! read more

Great southern hospitality and home cooking! We arrived just in time to not have to wait for a table for breakfast. It's a small diner that serves it all. I opted for the biscuits and gravy. I only ordered 1 and thankfully I did, the biscuit was as big as my head! The corned beef hash was great as well! Super friendly people all over the place. All of the waitresses helped each other and were always smiling. Everyone that walked in was greeted by name and the "hows your so-in-so". I love the small town feel! Great place! read more

Whenever we shop at Tanger Outlet we look for some place in town to eat instead of what they have there. Today based on the Yelp reviews we decided to try Grill Worx. Glad we did! You know if the parking lot is nearly full they must be doing something right! The staff here is really welcoming and very patient with new people trying decide what to order with their big menu. I was torn between breakfast and lunch. I really wanted to try their homemade chips so choose a 1/4 pound burger with cheese, chili and slaw. Oh, was that burger good! I loved the chili and had to cut the burger in half to eat it so I wouldn't end up wearing all the toppings. Lots of chips and fried nicely. My spouse had a Belgium waffle which she enjoyed and then ate about half the chips. She was torn too on breakfast and lunch. Homemade chips are really a draw for both of us. Looking forward to returning another time and exploring more on the menu! read more

Had a great breakfast here that I got for takeout and was ready at the counter as soon as I walked in. The chicken fried steak breakfast was an insane amount of food for the price and was great. The restaurant was packed when I picked my food up so its definitely a place that Ill be hitting up when im in the area. The staff couldn't have been nicer and theres plenty of parking. read more

Great prices for some down home country eats. From crepes to collards... they serve breakfast and lunch all day but close at 3 pm. Get there early because it feels up fast. I ordered the breakfast special- bacon, eggs, pancake, grits and a soft drink for $6.99 and it was delicious. Highly recommend to check this place out. read more

This place has never disappointed me, the eggs Benedict is wonderful! So is the chicken fried steak. The waitstaff is so personable and friendly, they really make the effort to not only get to know you; but make you feel valued. And I can say that about all of them. The service is quick, it's always busy. The decor is a little old school, but it's cozy and pleasant. Kinda like going to your grandmas house if you grew up not having much, but the love is always there. I've been going here for 6 years now, they know me and my family. I've been taking my sons here since they were babies, I will always come back. read more

We are new to Mebane and had heard that Grill Worx was the place to go for breakfast. Food was good but I have to say that the service was excellent! The servers all worked together and covered for each other- it was awesome. Coffee cup stayed full and left well satisfied. Definitely will go back!! read more

Always a great spot! We love the classic diner breakfast with big biscuits, eggs any way you wish, and ridiculously good gravy. I've had a variety of menus items that range from chipped beef to egg white veggie omelette and it's all delicious. The service is always great and prompt. Expect to wait for a table on the weekends but it's totally worth it! read more

This is such a hole in the wall but, as is typical with such restaurants, it is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is definitely extremely casual and has a bit of a local diner feel. My boyfriend and I ate brunch here last weekend and both loved what we had. I had the southern breakfast (grilled biscuit with pimento cheese, fried egg, bacon, and tomato made into an open faced sandwich) and it was so good, perfectly cooked and very flavorful. My boyfriend had an omelette and was also impressed and said that the toppings were very evenly distributed throughout it, making it especially tasty. Another plus is that the prices are extremely reasonable (less than $12 for brunch for both of us). Highly recommended and do not be put off by its humble appearance! read more

My 1st time ever going to grill worx in mebane and the people took me way back in the day. Now I know how people felt that wasn't aloud to eat inside an restaurant. Everybody just stared at me the whole time I was there and the waitress they was having a conversation of who was going to wait on me like I wasn't supposed to be on the inside but at the back ordering my food so when my food came I just got it to go and I said never again will I eat at this place this was the first time in my life ever feeling like this at a restaurant. I don't want to put a star but it says I have to in order to post. read more

We had a great waitress who made our son a Mickey mouse pancake platter and he loved it so much he didn't want to let it go. I had the French toast and it was okay, not much to it and I'm a French toast lover. It lacked flavor and was basically bread dipped in egg. Bacon was crispy as requested and good. Coffee was good too. This place is a lot of locals and reminds me of cheers for breakfast. We would go back to try another dish. read more

Dad, sister and her family all live in Mebane so this is the reason for the visit. First, we came on Easter Sunday and they were open. It's an unassuming small-town joint that caters to the locals. We are from DC so a little different that we are used to. There were 8 of us and the entire bill was less than $60!! Cheap!! Has your normal menu items but being the healthy eaters that we are, we were pleased to see whole-wheat pancakes and sugar-free syrup. They also had egg-white only options. I got the grilled chicken omelette and my wife got some eggs, bacon and we both had the whole-wheat pancakes. All were very good and no complaints. The staff was great, very polite and hard-working for a holiday!! It's 5m off the main highway so if this pops up in your search, skip the Iron Skilket or one of the other chains and check this place out!! read more

Wow, I needed to go out to the mall for some Nikes. I decided to look up a place to eat and found Grill Worx. Let me tell you what. This place is fantastic. Not much else to say. It's just perfect. Great prices, friendly service, cozy atmosphere and the food was very well prepared. Not many places offer fresh fruit as a side that it just comes with standard. That's usually something other places charge out the ass for. But not here, it's part of a good breakfast and I appreciate that. read more

I love this place to death I went for my first time just yesterday and you're able to order anything from the menu whatever you want no matter what time of day it is and I got their burger with fries and it was packed full of flavor that place was delicious and I'm definitely going back at the location is not that far from where I live let me tell you if you love friendly service and you love a great atmosphere and a queen Hometown please go to them they're great I highly recommend it go go go go read more

Seat yourself, really busy on a Saturday morning but only had to wait about 2 minutes to be seated. Staff is very friendly and we got our drinks fast. Food took about 10 minutes but everything tasted homemade and fresh! The biscuits were fluffy and light yet not greasy or too buttery. Eggs light and fluffy and the meats were great. Prices are good we both ate for $12 total. I highly recommend it for breakfast to everyone. read more

Very very good food. If you are looking for authentic country breakfast this is an awesome option. It's not the cleanest place, but to be fair when you are THAT busy and working so fast pace, you don't have the time to clean perfectly. You know what they say; "a little dirt won't hurt." read more

A typical good ole boy type restaurant. Surely waitresses and food truck quality food. My guess is they would not know good food if you took them to Four Seasons. I heard the Tuna Fish was really good. I ate it and lived to regret it. I wish it had tuna rather than being mayonnaise with a little tuna. Horrible place with bad restrooms. read more

Great little place that's a throw back to the age of diners. This is a meat and two sides type of diner but it has an extensive breakfast menu available all day. The daily plate specials are comfort foods. Great environment for kids and great kids menu selection. Staff was attentive and food was really good. It's our go-to when we're usually too exhausted to make dinner. The menu is huge and somehow everything I've tried is always SO GOOD. Like there are no weak spots?! Some solid favs my family has loved: linguine alfredo, bratwurst, fish and chips, brisket, chicken avocado salad (this might be my fav and it's HUGE), ANY sandwich (favs are the Italian and the duck bacon turkey club), and the pizza! Kids pasta is a fav of one of my kids and a super good deal. The cakes are also sooooo good (but year a little pricey at $8). Great beer selection, we usually just grab something in stock to take home. The kitchen is closed from 4-5PM (I'm usually calling in at 5:01 haha). The staff is so nice! I will say, once in a while, their estimated times can be way off. I'm okay with that though, the food is worth it. One other thing to be mindful of: On big event days (like when there is a show at the Haw River Ballroom), they run a limited menu. They also have had limited menu days in the past when they do seafood events, but I haven't run into that problem in a while. Just maybe check their Instagram.

I went with the south of the border skillet. This includes Chorizo, home potatoes, jalapeños, green peppers, onions, eggs, avocado, and mixed cheese. I mean... what a combination of items! This was great! The potatoes were cooked to be nice and soft, the chorizo had excellent flavor, and the jalapeños were the perfect amount of spicy kick that took this skillet over the top. It's also supposed to come with a side of beans. As a guy who doesn't eat beans a lot, I asked them could I substitute for a different side and they suggested that I get their rice. This was very good as well. We were constantly checked on, drinks were refilled all the time even with asking and very well taken care of. The prices are very reasonable. This place gets straight to the point... great food and excellent service! I've been back a couple times since, and it's definitely in my rotation of breakfast places to go!
