The video crew wanted to stop at Jake's while we were in Las Vegas filming a major car show. Our cameraman told us this bar is one of the last of the true Las Vegas bars of the good ole' days. After filming we all went to jake's and had the world famous 16 oz steak and only $14.00. Then karaoke. There were some truly talented singers. The atmosphere was beyond belief, the bar tenders were amazing and the drinks were above par. The MyHotRodTV crew will be back. The bartender Alex remembered my name the second day I ever came in. He's awesome. Everyone treats you like family. Brit, Scotty, Linds and Joy are rockstars as well. I was visiting Las Vegas for a work conference and we went to Jake's for karaoke bar. We had a fabulous time. Staff is attentive and the regular crowd is friendly. This place is off the Strip so you get to sing a lot more, the beer is reasonably priced and they don't blast the sound. We will be back for sure. read more

We went into Jake's Bar this afternoon and ordered a few food items Pizza for $12.00 tater tots w cheese ,baked wings The tater tots were uncooked and parts of them so hard u need a knife to get to them Wings were raw on outside not browned at all covered w sauce The pizza wasn't fully cooked and to top this horrible experience we get our bill looked at it they charge $1.00 for a glass of water#!!#!!!!!! $1.00 for water We will never go back The bartender was awesome...not HER fault Regardless of the food what's this c#%p about charging for water If they need 2 charge for water , they don't deserve to be in business!!!! I always have such a good time every single time i come in. My biggest praise about Jake's Bar, and bear w me on this ... the bathroom are so clean. I can't tell you how much i appreciated using the bathroom because it was so clean! At one point i heard a gentleman ask if anyone was in the restroom and i replied "I'm in here" and he waited for me to leave before going in. Great local bar. Cheap, good service, tons of parking. There is a park behind the place so you get some crazies skittering in from time to time on a quest for copper or to steal an ash try or whatever they're up to, but that adds to the fun. Cool little bar that has some real unique features. I am by no means a football fan, but I went in for the superbowl and a Broncos game. Both times, the atmosphere of the bar was really energized. I have no problem talking to strangers in bars but it really seemed like everyone was friends who was in there those days. The bar is way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Surprised the heck out of me. Its clean and the tables are pretty big. The service is really fast, and you can just get up and go to the bar whenever you want. Tv's everywhere. It advertises "coldest beer in town". I will be damned if they werent right. Beer was ice cold and really inexpensive. The menu has a few items, a few specials, and its also really inexpensive. The one thing that really surprised me was my friend and I were watching the game in February. We were sitting and chatting with one of the waitresses and a male bartender. I came back in about 4 months later and the guy actually remembered me and said welcome back. I can barely remember important phone numbers, and this guy remembers a customer from months ago. For the area, this is one of the best places to go for sports and cold beer. read more

If your a Broncos fan this is a good bar to be at..as for just a bar I give Jakes bar 3 stars for two reasons first is for their Karaoke with Rick D on Friday, Saturday and Wednesday nights. Second would be for a few of their bartenders namely Dave and Scotty. I'd give this place an extra star however with a few need to replace bartenders and their poor service, the need for some better bar food and TV placement for now I will stick with three stars..for now. read more

This place is really fun to karaoke and the bartender is super nice, on the weekends. The girl bartender on week nights is very rude. I went on Halloween as tbey advertised a free drink if you were in costume and a costume contest. The bartender (girl) said that was a mistake and you had to buy a drink to get one, free. The karaoke host was okay, but, he didn't know or care what Scaraoke is and didn't really theme it, or address the holiday. As far as the costume contest, he took pictures of everyone in costume, but, wound up giving most everyone who had a costume a $10. voucher for the bar which had to be used by the next day. They weren't even given out until almost 12. In conclusion, it wasn't really much of a contest. read more

Me and my boyfriend were in Las Vegas for the weekend and of course we wanted to watch our Broncos game surrounded by Broncos fans. So we used good old Google and ended up coming across this place. We were staying downtown so this place was maybe a 10 minute drive from where we were staying. It's your basic local dive bar but it definitely is home of the Broncos. They had a lot of stuff on the inside for sale as well as just decor. We walked in found a seat with a TV right in front of us and the service was amazing. The girls working were as sweet as can be I think the one we had was Michelle but they were all making sure that will you were being taken care of as well as everybody else. You can tell a lot of the people there were locals but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. We had a good time even though we lost but we will definitely go back to this bar if we are in Vegas during football season. We had 2 pitchers of beer for $7 each (Miller light) 2 Heineken bottles 4 pc chicken wings for $2 All in all our total was only $21 for the whole game not including the tip. It was definitely a good price If you are the type of person who's looking for more of a tourist attraction this place might not be for you however me and my boyfriend love to find little things like this so we found it amazing Thank You Jakes! read more

So yesterday we were helping a disabled homeless vet get to respite care center yesterday. We had to ride the bus from Henderson because he has an electric wheelchair. Well his battery died & we were stuck. We went into the Laundry mat to see if we could charge it & got kicked out. Walked into this place & met the owner who was an angel in disguise. She let us leave the chair there, gave us water & even offered dinner. Thanks to her this man got to sleep in a bed last night for the first time in over a year. She truly helped change someones life & is an amazing person. God bless you always. read more

Locals dive bar, with great service. Everything on the 24 hour food menu is $2, but they have specially food on certain nights. Jukebox is not the best, but if you ask nicely, they will turn on the TV volume louder and let you enjoy what ever is on TV. They have 2 pool tables, which are only 25cents a game, cheapest in town. Drinks are fairly cheap. $1.50 for a Jake's beer (their house beer which is actually Hamm's) They have a wide variety of liquor and the standard menu of beers. We happened upon this his bar on accident. A group of friends and I were just trying to get our karaoke on but there was a line out the door no where to sit ... I mean you couldn't walk through at Ellis Island. We looked on yelp and Jake's Bar popped. So we jumped in our cars and headed here. I've lived in Vegas for 10 yrs and passed this place almost every day but never came here and now I wish I had long before! It was thee best time we had! The drinks were well priced, the bartenders are amazing and the KJ is cool! We were able to sing at least 4-5 songs each on a Friday night! At the other place it takes an hour or more just to sing a 2nd song after already waiting an hour. We had so much fun we went back for my bday 2 weeks later and it was not a disappointment! The only thing is the ladies bathroom is too small but it's clean! So.. yes.... I recommend this place! read more
