I highly recommend Jalisco Muffler! My catalytic converter was stolen from my 2007 Honda Accord on June 15th, 2021. My insurance company sent my car to Collision Works to have the part replaced but the service department there said that catalytic converters for my model were back ordered until September or October because of so many thefts. I also found out a couple of days ago that Honda had no ETA for new catalytic converters at all, that it could be as much as a year before I could get one. After borrowing my son's car for 3 months when I needed it, he encouraged me to call muffler shops. The first one I called only had an after market universal cat converter and those are not California legal and they would have charged $1,800 for the cat plus labor. I called Jalisco Muffler next and talked to Luis. As it turns out he actually HAD a Honda catalytic converter that was made for my Honda model. He said he had bought it for a guy that wanted his replaced but the guy never showed up. The part had been sitting on his shelf for a year, long before all the thefts started. What are the odds??!! What good fortune! Luis said he'd charge $1,200 for the cat converter and labor as long as nothing else had to be done. Well, when I got there it turned out my sensor had been taken as well, plus another part had been taken. He charged $120 each for parts and labor so the total was $1,440. VERY reasonable! And fast! My car was towed there on a Friday just at closing and my car was done by 10:00 AM the next morning on a Saturday. Plus, he replaced free of charge the old dead battery with a new one I had purchased the day my car was ready. Luis is warm, friendly and very personable - a real people person - and it was such a pleasure chatting with him. He loves his work and enjoys visiting with his customers when he can. Because he was so kind, very fair and got the work done so fast, I paid him $1,500. It seemed only fair. If you want honest, fair, friendly and fast service, Jalisco Muffler is the place to go!
