So I rented this service for a celebration of life for, I told Gonzalo that I was having another taco vendor there as well. He said you should have just told us we could have accommodated up to 1000 people, but I didn't want any one to wait therefore the two vendors 2 lines. He said "I'm going to make you look good". Well in the end he failed the other vendors set up out shined theirs. They had way more options for the same price including aguas frescas more salsas and chips. They also had more man power to serve the people. This wasn't just my observation but everyone who attended. In addition I had paid Jaliscos mobile taco to serve food from 1:30-3:30 which they didn't. As soon I sent the Zelle at 2:40 included a $150 tip they cleaned up and left they were all cleaned up by 3:15. Goes to show you, don't pay them til the services are rendered. Well I hope this helps. Gonsalo was great at communicating, and he and the entire team showed up to our venue ready to go. They had everything covered as far as all our venue's rules, and the appetizers were ready as soon as our cocktail hour started. I hired Gonsalo for my kid's birthday. He quoted me $750 initially then charged another $90 for guacamole, bringing the total to $840. I paid a $375 deposit, bringing the remaining balance to $465 to be paid after the event. He then sent me a $1,000 venmo request, which I paid in the midst of the party. While paying multiple other vendors and hosting- my mistake I wasn't paying much attention. I intended to Pay him $1k total including tip. After the party I remembered that I previously paid him $375 and basically overpaid him with a tip amounting to $535 which was not warranted. When I reached out and told him I mistakenly overpayed, he demanded to speak to my husband, saying my husband insisted he gets $1,000 when my husband had no clue I paid a deposit or how much anything was, as I organized the party, I hired Gonsalo and I paid him with my own money from my own Venmo account. My husband had no dealings with him. Not sure what he intended to gain from speaking to my husband. It's as if my husband has more authority than I do because I'm just a woman. Very sexist behavior. He has refused to send me back the overpayment and is keeping $535 of MY MONEY as a tip- A 64 PERCENT TIP!!!!!- which he claims he gets tips like this "all the time." Yeah right. I was shocked by his response and refusal to venmo me back money which he owed me because I told him I made a mistake. I'm now in the process of disputing the charge with Venmo. Bad business. Unprofessional. And not to mention, the food made several of my guests, including my elderly parents, sick the next day. Do yourself a favor and find a vendor who does the right thing when issues arise. I have thrown hundreds of events and never in my life have I had an issue with a vendor. I already know Gonsalo is going to try to gaslight me with his response based on his comments to other negative reviews, but I have the receipts and texts and I will post them if need be. We hired Jaliscos Mobile Taco Grill for late night tacos at our wedding on 5/29/22 in Malibu. We booked with Gonsalo in September 2021 (about 9 months before our wedding), so you can imagine how important the tacos were to us. We arranged for salmon, veggie, chicken, and carne asada and made it very clear that we could not have pork or shellfish due to religious restrictions. Gonsalo's prices were reasonable and we agreed that he would start cooking around 10pm for the "late night" snack once dessert was officially served. The weeks leading up to our wedding, it was nearly impossible to reach him. We got nervous so started thinking of other ways to reach out... we noticed on his venmo that he had a charge for the same day of our wedding which was very alarming. We finally got through via Instagram and he assured us that all was good and he had talked to our planner. Anyway, night of the wedding comes and he texted my husband (WHO WAS GETTING MARRIED) around 8 pm (after he was supposed to be there to set up) telling him that he was stuck in traffic in Santa Monica (yup, that's where the other venmo deposit came from) and he wasn't going to be able to make it until 10... Not only that, but he also demanded an additional $300 for him to actually come to the wedding since the traffic was bad. WHAT?! He finally arrives at the venue past 10:00 and won't take his gear across the lawn... instead wants to set up in the DRIVEWAY of the venue where the valet is... He charged my father an additional $200 TO WALK ACROSS THE FREAKING LAWN! He finally starts cooking after this mess... all of us trying to ignore the fact that he's totally ripping us off.... BUT THEN COOKS PORK!!!!! AFTER WE EXCPLICITLY TOLD HIM WE CANNOT HAVE PORK AT THIS WEDDING. We reached out to Gonsalo the following day to express our frustrations and he was not apologetic at all. Did not offer a refund or even apologies for the fact that he charged us 50% of what we were already paying just to freaking come to our wedding after we had already paid him in full... and the fact that he cooked a religiously prohibited dish at our wedding. If I could give 0 stars I would. Too bad because we were really excited about the tacos and heard the amazing reviews which is why we booked in the first place. Lesson learned. read more

We reserved Jalisco's Taco Grill for our day-after-wedding brunch 7 months in advance. We paid a $250 deposit. Gonsalo, the owner, assured us that everything would be taken care of, when we checked in with him the week before the event . On the day of the brunch, Jalisco's was nowhere to be found. We had 50 people show up and nothing to feed them. He had put the wrong date on our contract. Thankfully we had a beverage caterer who was kind enough to run down to the local Whole Foods and grab a bunch of pastries for our hungry guests. Of course, we let him know immediately that there was an issue and we wanted a refund. For the past five months, he's been telling us he'd return our deposit "by the end of the week," "next Tuesday," "at the end of the month," etc. We've been patient. Honestly, we've waited and waited for him to right this wrong. Now, we've said goodbye to the money, but want to warn others. I wish we had a chance to taste the food - we were REALLY looking forward to it. And I'm sure he and his team are nice people. They're just not that great at business, I guess. read more

Just prepare your mouth for the yummiest authentic street-style tacos. We had Jaliscos provide food for a pre-wedding party of about 60 guests this weekend and Gonsalo and his wife came early, set up their grill and salsa table under a large white canopy. Everything is so clean--they even bring a floor pad to protect your driveway or patio from spills. We wanted to do a few little extras--like offer Peach-Mango Salsa in addition to their 5 custom salsas (they were awesome) and they happily brought a 6th cool serving bowl to match their set and we provided the Peach-Mango Salsa. Perfect. We also wanted to use Palm eco-plates and bamboo forks, which I bought from Amazon, and they looked fab and held up to the hearty food no problem. The guests got 3 tacos, rice and beans and could choose between pork, beef, and chicken tacos and we also asked for a vegetarian option as well. Gonsalo said: no problem! The couple also made Salsa suggestions to the diners so we could mix and match our toppings to best effect. Needless to say, our guests' taste buds were blown and everyone went back for seconds.
