This place really is a hidden gem in Garfield. I walked in around 10:00pm on a Saturday night to a empty restaurant to eat in. I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich and my bf ordered the jam burger with Idaho fries. We shared a black and white milkshake. Everything was fresh and the chicken sandwich wasn't super greasy like most fried chicken sandwiches would be. I like that the menu wasn't overwhelming since it was pretty small while still offering a good selection of options and adds on to customize your order. Food was uneventful and bland. The chicken tenders are more like small nuggets that were over fried and under seasoned. The burger meat was also under seasoned in the salt department. Lastly the vanilla milkshake I ordered was predominantly milk with little flavor of ice cream. All in all i think this burger joint has some improvements to make and growing to do. read more

Great ideas that they have working for them here. I had the Jam burger and it was perfect especially the thought of doing the cheese differently than just throwing a slice or two of cheese. The cheese was jalapeño cheese popers. The addition of the bacon jam was my favorite; I'm always on the hunt for this jam in burgers as it gives it a light sweet taste. The white and black Oreo shake was a nice size and a good price at $10. Which even if you find that a little bit higher then just look at the cheap price of the burger $8. For a craft burger these are great prices. The workers were very attentive at checking up on us mid way to see that everything was going well. This is my GO TO SPOT for a chicken sandwich and always rave about the chicken sandwich how its the best....BUT the last TWO TIMES i came back...at night time, on tuesday and Wednesdays (owners take note).. the quality , the size, and thr appearance is DOWN BIG TIME. The fries were well-seasoned, authentic, and crisp- no sogginess! The Chicken sandwich had a prefect balance of sweet and savory. The herb ranch and chipotle maple glaze was a prefect match for the juicy sandwich. The Jam Burger was, by far, the best burger we had in a long long time. The Jam Burger is topped with a jalapeño cheese popper, caramelized onions, and a smoked jam. The popper is amazing, the cheese just oozes over the burger once you bite into it. We ordered an another Chicken Fried Chicken and the Bodega Burger. The Bodega burger is topped with an fried egg, Monterey Jack cheese, red cabbage, garlic sauce, and fried sweet plantains. This burger is extremely savory, the succulent egg and cheese were rich. The cabbage adds good texture and the plantains adds a hint of sweetness, all the while the garlic sauce brings it home. This place is solid. I find a lot of my new foodie places on Instagram since my account is solely devoted to food and I am happy that I decided to give this a try. I was tempted to take away a star because of parking and the fact that they don't have any vegetarian options, which will make it a bit harder for me to get my friends to try it. However, they can't exactly control the parking and....what they do, they do VERY WELL. They use high quality Pat La Freida meat, which ups the taste factor when coupled with the fact that their chef knows what they are doing. I decided to do a "create my own" an ordered the classic burger without lettuce and tomato but added a fried egg and bacon. Absolutely delicious. I tried the regular fries and they were cooked very well. I washed down my meal with the a Jam Chocolate shake, which is a chocolate shake with whipped cream, Hershey kisses, a Hostess Cupcake, Hershey bar....just WOW. I sent a picture to another foodie friend and she replied, THAT. LOOKS. AMAZING!!!!" A touch of NYC close to home! I ordered the Bodega burger with bacon. The combination of sweet plantains with the savory bacon on the freshly made burger was amazing. I'm a huge fan of potato buns so I was happy to see that is what they used. Fries were good too. Now to the important part. The shake. Epic greatness.
