The food was decent at an acceptable price. The buns were delicious, though the beef was not of the highest quality, the price does reflect that. And the French fries were very good. I ordered the gyro burger with curly fries. It was a surprisingly large burger. The flavor of the gyro meat was a bit overpowering, I could barely taste the burger until I added a bit of salt. I asked if I could have my burger prepared medium well. I was told yes. I was disappointed when I saw my burger was not onlywell done, it was a burger pattie. This was not a freshly prepared, seasoned burger, rather a previously frozen unseasoned burger pattie and was totally underwhelming. Edited to include: from looking at previous pics, it looks like they used to serve real beef burgers. I instead recieved an unseasoned, previously frozen, burger pattie. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese burger. The fried egg was overcooked. My fried ordered fried onions on her burger. She recieved canned fried onions; not fresh onions fried on a grill. Underwhelming. One plus is the place is cute and clean. We both ordered lettuce buns and recieved large, fresh lettuce pieces w our burgers. Visited for an early lunch and they were just getting started. The location was pretty easy to find, but it's right on an awkward intersection. They have a some parking spots available, but it's not a big lot. Think they forgot to turn on the heat, so the place was completely freezing. I could see my breath even when I was inside. They realized 30 minutes later and finally turned on the heat. Ordered the classic burger special that came with fries and drink. Threw an extra egg on as well. Burger came out really quick and surprisingly was cooked perfectly medium. Size was the burger was huge as indicated by other reviews. Everything was fresh. Seasoning was a bit lacking and I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper to it. Would help tremendously if they seasoned their patties. This place has some potential because of the value. They also deliver locally as well. Seems like they still need to work some kinks out on their routine though. Will check back the next time I get burger craving again. read more

I wanted to love it... but I just couldn't. While I only tried one variation of their burger here, I felt the meat lacked any seasoning that would make it exceptional. A good blend would allow the fat to render better and taste better. Instead I felt so underwhelmed with the burger choice that I craved one of the other fast food chains instead. My coworker ordered a normal Nova Classic. Bruh, these burgers are gigantic, bigger than pretty much anywhere else considering the type of restaurant. Normal patty is hand made, cooked to medium, the JR patty seems to be something like a Pat LaFrieda Roadhouse style patty. Pretty tasty but maybe not the best. They offer a variety of sauces too. Bar: N/A Price: The JR burger was $4.75, and again, it was the size of a normal burger, so value is in customer's favor. Overall: The woman behind the counter either owns, or used to own Bachi 197, and the menu reflects concepts and ideas from Black Rebel that used to be across the street from Bachi. Saw that this new burger spot opened up close to work, it was pretty packed for being new. The staff was very nice but very unorganized, not knowing who ordered what (expected for a new restaurant). They have some interesting burgers, I stuck to the bacon egg and cheese burger. I wish you had a choice of how to get it done, it was a little over cooked, but the bacon was amazing, and the egg was just runny enough to soak into the meat. I was a little skeptical about a burger and Chinese establishment, but it did not disappoint! I had the brass burger with sautéed mushrooms , crispy onions and Swiss on a garlic bread bun and it was incredible. The bun itself was different , but so good! I went against my normal if it's spicy it's a must try mentality and ordered the Pineapple Burger which was proudly featured in a number of pictures. Son ordered a BBQ Bacon burger and wife ordered a classic. The burgers are okay....not seasoned well and cooked one temp but flavorful due to the toppings (which I'm not a fan of; the burger should stand on it's own and not rely on it's components...sorry #burgersnob). We also ordered Onion Rings and Fries. Fries were standard but the O-Rings were yummy and when dipped in their house made Spicy Mayo sauce were awesome. You know how you get a vibe when you walk in a place.... I won't cast a death sentence on Nova Burger but if your interested check it out sooner than later. Sometimes you just get stupid lucky. I got an email from Yelp about places in my area trending and Nova Burger was one of them. So a friend of mine from work and I both decided to take the trek from Paterson on our lunch break (we're lucky enough that we get a full hour) to Little Ferry and check this place out. Let me just say that it's very unassuming. It looks like it used to be a take out Chinese restaurant. It's clean but small. But we were greeted by some of the friendliest people in the food industry that I've ever been fortunate enough to meet. The woman who greeted us was so friendly, she honestly made us feel like we've known her forever. Now on to the more important things like, the burgers! What can I say, we got in the car and started driving back and my car was immediately filled with the smell of just absolute amazingness. My buddy got the bacon egg and cheese burger which he said, and I quote, " was the best burger I've ever had". I got the smoked bacon with pineapple and cheddar cheese bbq burger and I was completely floored. Let me just say that we got back to Paterson from Little Ferry, which if you know the area, it is not a five minute drive. The food was still hot. I don't know how they did that but, amazing! The bacon was smokey and crisp, the cheese was gooey and melty, the pineapple was hot but sweet and still had some snap to it, and the Patty, well let me tell you something. Angel knows what he is doing in the kitchen. Angel is the owner I think. I met him and he's an extraordinarily nice gentleman and man does he know how to make a burger! When we got back to work my buddy ate his with a few other co-workers up by the counter and everybody saw it and could smell it and became so enticed we decided to get an order together the following week. Well that is today. We ordered 21 Burgers the day before and Angel drove them to Paterson and I don't know how, again with the magic, they were still hot and cooked to perfection. The consensus here was that this guy hit a walk-off Grand Slam home run in the bottom 9th in game 7 of the World Series. I have become a huge fan of this place and it is why I have given it 5 Stars. I'd have given him 7 if Yelp would allow it. Oh and by the way, the prices of these Burgers, I feel like I'm ripping him off. He should raise his prices because his food is that good. What a deal! This place is for the hungry. The burgers are almost 3 times bigger than any burger I've had. The location is nice, the restaurant has parking. The burgers however are not the best I've had. Different varieties but don't really seem to have the juiciness or the flavor I usually look for in a burger. The owners are really sweet, very friendly. I went for the Gyro burger and my boyfriend had the Fire burger (I think) we also got the chili cheese fries which was amazing. Great customer service. The lady at the counter was on the phone, likely with a client, upon our arrival but apologized profusely for being on the phone and not giving full attention to us. The fries were perfectly seasoned. We got it to go so they were a little soft but I enjoyed them. Chili cheese fries were delicious. We tried the nova classic and the pineapple bacon bbq burger. Found this mom & pop gem in the neighborhood. Came for lunch. The classic burger was on point. The bun they sourced was delicious and reminded me of the first big mac buns with sesame seeds or the original buns Five Guys used in Virginia I've had back in the days. Other ingredients used were fresh as well. The beef patty could have used a little more seasoning to my liking, but I'm sure my health appreciates the reduced sodium.
