Such a disappointment following two recent visits to this establishment. As a frequent traveler…read morewith extensive experience dining internationally, I was particularly looking forward to experiencing authentic Jamaican cuisine. The staff was nice, however the food that make the cut My first visit revealed limited menu availability, resulting in my ordering a chicken soup, it had a nice flavor and no meat. But because it was late, I tried this place again the next day. My second visit, undertaken with the hope of a more positive experience, unfortunately proved more disappointing. The lunch special, priced at $15.50, consisted of a single chicken thigh and a meager serving of rice and beans. The accompanying pumpkin chicken soup seemed significantly diluted from my previous visit, lacking meats and no dumplings. The oxtails were old and had a foul smell to them as well as the rice was mushy... maybe two days old... yes old!!! I trash them. The health department really needs to check this out!!! The overall quality of the food fell short of expectations, particularly Jamaican's are known for good food, and considering the price. Its like kids playing in the kitchen! While I understand that this may be the only Jamaican restaurant in town, this does not excuse the provision of subpar food at inflated prices. I believe there is significant potential for improvement in both portion size and food quality to better reflect the pride and culinary excellence typically associated with Jamaican cuisine. I hope that my feedback will be considered constructively to enhance the dining experience for future patrons.

They are wonderful people and take pride in their work (and it shows in their Roti). I had the Chicken roti in a wrap and it was full of flavour. I like more pepper and it hotter but the owner did give me some of their hot sauce which is homemade. It is a must try as you won't be disappointed.

Very disappointed with my experience at Sally…read more I went in to buy two doubles, and unfortunately the lady working there made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt that I was being treated differently and, honestly, I couldn't help but wonder whether I was being profiled because of my skin colour or because I was struggling with English. After ordering, I was about to briefly place my earphones on the table so I could reach into my pocket for my purse. Before I had even really put them down, she told me, "Don't keep your stuff on the table." It was the tone that bothered me most. I had just seen her interact with another customer, and the way she spoke to me felt noticeably different. This is actually the second time I have experienced this kind of treatment there, which makes the situation even more disappointing. I have no issue with being reminded of store rules, but there is a respectful way to speak to customers. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location, unless the gentleman is working there by himself. Very disappointing and upsetting experience.

ONE LOVE JAMAICAN CUISINE -- A TRUE HIDDEN GEM IN BROCKVILLE!…read more I just had lunch at One Love Jamaican Cuisine in Brockville, and WOW (Rasta fari)... this is easily some of the best Caribbean food I've ever tasted in Canada! From the very first bite, you can taste the love, authenticity, seasoning, and passion that goes into the food. The flavours are bold, rich, soulful, and absolutely unforgettable. This isn't just food -- it feels like a trip straight to the Caribbean! What really stood out to me is that while the food is authentically Jamaican, there's also something about the flavours that reminded me of that beautiful Trinidadian-Caribbean style of cooking -- that deep seasoning, comforting spices, and soulful island flavour that makes you want to keep eating even when you're already full. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and the whole experience had that warm Caribbean feeling that you just can't fake. The jerk chicken, in particular, is something you NEED to try! And don't let the location fool you -- One Love is a hidden gem worth finding. Once you discover this place, you'll understand why people keep coming back. It's the kind of restaurant you want to tell everybody about. 5/5 -- WITHOUT QUESTION! By: Daveion

We ordered the oxtail, yah man plater (with jerk chicken, fried chicken, curry chicken, stew pork), and bacon mac n cheese. The owners (Clint and Kim) are so nice. We left happy and full.
