We had an awesome time here for my school-aged kids' birthday. While we love coming here in general, the birthday party was particularly fabulous and the focus of this review. It's well organized and there is a small area and a large area right by the entrance, flanking the ticket redemption area, the drink counter, and the employee desk. Great location for it. There's two flatscreen TVs in the large area and one flatscreen TV in the small one. Ability to turn off/on lights. We were able to fit high 20's number of kids in the small party area. Service and coordination was particularly great. Megan was our lead person, and she provided excellent concierge service. We were frankly surprised how great she was and attentive. We just assumed we'd be in for some chaos but nope, guided us, paced us, and was very attentive. You bring your own drinks and cake, and they have pizza baked in house. The pizza is really good. Wow. Move over boring kid birthday pizza. They take the cake back for you and cut it up and serve it. They clean up. They help with pizza distribution. They wheel in and out the carts with gifts (and coats this time of year) into and out of the party area. So if you want to stay around longer after the party area reservation, you're welcome to and they've got multiple carts to keep your things. The distribution of some of the credits on cards before and after was great. And the A or B on the cards of the kids to divide up the laser tag was great. And our kid got to do both times since it was their birthday. The area and place/setting is fun. Lots of different types of games. Everything was working -- a rarity for an arcade. There's better or worse use of credits, of course, as there is everywhere. I loved the variety though. There were electronic games, claw games, multiplayer games, violent and non-violent, physical sport/skill games (basketball shooting, ski ball, drop ball), and both ticket earning and non-ticket earning games. The redemption area has a large variety of choices and they're displayed well to enable kids to make choices without long queues. The laser tag area is surprisingly large and very fun for the kids. It's gotta be 2-3x larger than the rest of the arcade. The price here was great. Lots of folks will seek outer suburbs of Boston for good prices but all in this was a steal compared to some other options. And the other families loved it. Kids were raving about it through the school week, and multiple people said they're going to bring their families back here again soon and many for birthday parties. read more

Is it just me or is the pizza here actually pretty amazing? i have only been here for birthday parties but I am realizing that the pizza here that is made in house is different from other places and for birthday party pizza it is way better than delivering it into wherever the venue is. It's rectangular and super thick and i didn't think much of it until my son wolfed down two slices so fast i was not believing. so I had one. and i tried another weird pie called CBLT or something and it looked scary drizzled with ranch but crazy good! I think im just going to make excuses to come here again to try the pizza...the arcade games are definitely not really for little kids but pretty fun for older kids and grownups but it's nice that even if you have teensy kid points you can still get decent toy prizes and candy. read more

I just hosted my daughter's 7th birthday here. I had never been before but my husband grew up in Framingham so he grew up going. I was very impressed. Everything was clean and looked great. The party room (we were in the green room) was all clean and ready for us when we arrived. Our amazing party host, Will, was amazing from start to finish. He was high energy, great with the kids, anticipated our needs beautifully, and so attentive. He made the party absolutely seamless! The kids did go through they game cards pretty quickly but they didn't seem to mind. Everyone got some cool prizes they were very happy with. Laser tag was a big hit. The room was awesome with lots of places for the kids to hide from each other. They were all excitedly sharing their scores on their guns at the end of the game and we made it out with just one small head bump :) This was a 10/10 for sure. The reality is my money went much further here, plain and simple. Went to an arcade in Harvard Square two weeks ago. They charged me a $1 for a game card. Went to Dave and BustyourWallet in the Natick Mall later for the first time and they charged me $3 (!) for a card. And then, after putting $30 onto the card, each game was at least 25 points to play, timed not to last more than thirty seconds, and so the kiddo was done after just twenty minutes and had enough tickets to get a .50 trinket. Tried Fun & Games today: no charge for the card, put $20 on it, and the kiddo played for two HOURS! The games were mostly 5 - 10 points to play and they lasted longer. Example: we played air hockey three times for five minutes each time. Staff was friendly too. There's no contest. We'll only come here now. read more

Had a birthday party here and was really impressed with the customer service. So Easy to book the party online and pick extras you want like water, gift bags, pizza etc. A week before the party they confirm everything and answer any questions. We were able to get a bigger room (alien) for the same price as it was available when we ended up with more kids than expected. Alien room has 3 long tables plus one for cake/pizza, a smaller one and a mini one under the alien head. They also provide wheeled carts to put gifts, coats, etc. the tables come with a plain colored plastic clothe (red, I think?) or you can bring your own. They also provide a cake knife, lighter, small paper plates and a mini fridge. When the guests arrive they give you a box filled with coin cups for each kid ready. After they play for a bit it's pizza and cake time! Then they play some more with more coins and then laser tag. The birthday kid also receives 200 tickets and a special thank you gift. I can't say enough good things about this place. This place is tucked away between a diner and a Legal Seafood and I would never have known about it but for a birthday party invite my son received. I wish I found it sooner! It's a wonderful place for younger kids to play arcade games, not overwhelmingly big and very reasonably priced. They can host birthday parties here where kids can do laser tag and play arcade games. I particularly enjoyed the murals and sci-fi and spooky theme celling installations. It's not a large place, but it did have a decent amount of games. The space was clean and well maintained. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable on gaming prices. I was also sad the space ship entrance was gone. I expected more of the old school arcade games. BUT! Fun & Games is one of the very few arcades still with us. I had a lot of fun there, epecially beating "Let's Go Jungle!," and playing laser tag. I went on a Saturday with two friends and it wad no problem to play with just the 3 of us. I was thrilled to see the old entrance captured in sweet computer graphics in the instructional laser tag video (right? I didn't imagine that?). I give Fun & Games 5 stars because even though it couldn't remain untouched by time, I had a lot of fun on the cheap and at least they kept the spaceship on the ceiling! read more

Been here a few times for Birthday Party and its a decent little set up. The party room is decent sized, with ample seating. They give us Tokens, You play, You eat, then you Laser Tag... Its a good deal. From what Im told its not crazy expensive. There are tons of new games & the prized are fairly low tickets for lots of cool things. Its rather small ish and if you go on a busy day there is not much room to run around and you might be bumping into others. But still a fun rainy day place. Im sure when there are no parties its a decent fun place to stop... Ample parking and its tucked down in the back if you didnt know it was there you would drive by it. read more

4 stars and this is an arcade, not property management! so whats the dealio here? arcade games, check, pinball check, kiddy games, i guess check, im not here for those, but i guess if you like skee ball or the ilk, this will do. so its right near the job and when the job gets to dullsville, this is a good cop out. most if not all games are functional and cheapo 2 tokens cheap, so thats a nice perk. they even have a drum machine, which was really cool back before rockband, well now not as much, but still worth a laugh at your own expense. its a bit incognito at first, but you can see the sign right on rt 9 by legals and metro grill, very 80s looking, management seems to be there too no lost tokens. this is not funspot, but it has its moments. game up. read more

I'd like to thank this place for giving a few of my out of towner friends and I a good time for a couple hours! We were visiting the area from NJ and to kill time before dinner decided to hit this place. It's really cheap... Ten dollars gave me about 1.5-2 hrs of gaming. Most games are outdated and its more of a mini Dave and busters/chuck e cheese than an arcade per se but if you are looking for a cheap/fun night out with some friends I definetly reccomend this. read more

I did make a return to Fun and games last Friday. There are hardly any video games there at all, maybe about 20 the very most, verses almost 100 games and pinballs back in the 80's and 90's. I noticed where most of the old video games that were taken out, those area's were transformed into three kids party rooms. Right now there are a few good games there such as Jurrasic park, Hydro Thunder, Batman, and Adventures pinball. it's really a shame that the owner at fun and games desided to get rid of most of the video games, i just remember fun and games being an arcade with game after game, after game. Fun and Games seems like it hasn't changed in about 20 years, because it looks almost identical to a place I used to go to in Methuen when I was 8 called Dream Machine. Back in 1993, Dream Machine was THE place to be at the Methuen Mall, but eventually, arcades went out of style and most of them closed by 2000. It seems like Fun and Games has hung on for dear life and made it to 2014 when most of my generation is feeling nostalgic for such things, and today's kids are all about video games. But it seems old in there. And it's a bit small. Other notes: -There's an airbrush artist (at least on Saturdays) that will paint graffiti on hats and t-shirts. -No food stand, although they offer to deliver Uno's to you at the arcade -Lots of birthday parties and kids all ove rthe place on Saturdays...probably Sundays too! read more

This review is based on my teen years. Back in the day this place was dark, black lit, with a spinning star-filled black hole tunnel as an entrance. It's spanned from the front of the building where hoolihans was all the way to the back, with a snack bar that served pizza, snacks and drinks and the sounds of hundreds of pinball and video games competing with anyone's ability to speak. Cigarette smoke was also rampant in this place. It was an amazing teenage hangout from a bygone era. One of the classics you only see in 80s movies now. Today it has been tamed way, way down, as we have guarded our children more and more over the years and home videogames squashed this type of fun. Fun and Games is a shadow of the once amazing teenage hangout it was, and is more for 7-12 year old birthday parties today. It's clean and functional, but lost a heck of a lot of personality over the years. Personality that would not be acceptable today. I mean unguarded teens smoking and making out? Drinking in the woods by the electrical tower behind this place after waiting outside for someone to buy for us at Sherwood Plaza, or perhaps in the abandoned holiday inn next door before staples was built and then hanging out all night at F.A.G.s as all the teenagers called it. (our historic very unacceptable name for it by today's standards that judges all history now, even though meant innocently). These are days of a grittier, more connected, uncontrolled, wild and fun youth culture we can never return to. So I write this homage to the former glory of this establishment. I cherish those times, this place and I am so grateful I was able to experience Fun and Games of that day, and all the amazing memories that kids today will never experience. read more

I went to fun and games on Wednesday with my Grandson it was his birthday, we were the only people in the arcade so that was good as my Grandson has autism, we play game for a while spent about $75 and went to cash in the tickets he had 676 it really wants a stuffed monkey 750 points he kept saying to his Mother please so I asked is there any way I could buy some tickets so he could have the Monkey it's his birthday I say, I was told he doesn't have enough tickets once again I would of paid for more tickets no was the answer here are three people who never left the front who couldn't bent never again will I or he go again he is in residencal school in the area I will be advising them not to take him or his house mate ever to this arcade!!! I'm a veteran of hosting kids bday parties, and this was by far the best place we've had a bday party at for content and value. It was very reasonably priced compared to most places we've done, and the kids had a really fun time. Bonus, the party favors are built in, because the kids cash in their tickets from the games for fun toys etc. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the owner was great, too. One of the kids didn't have enough tickets for the item he wanted, and the owner offered him one that had already been opened for the amount of tickets the kid had- much more flexible than a Chuck E Cheese or Dave & Busters type place. The laser tag area was super cool-- like a live video game set up. Everyone loved the party! Plus, it's locally family owned, and it's really nice to be able to support a place like that instead of an impersonal chain where the employees don't really care. PS, when you host, they give you many really great coupons- 2 for FREE laser tag, 4 passes to mini golf at the Village Green place in Natick, and a bunch of other similar stuff- really amazing value! :) read more

A mom of four, ages 8 and under, I highly recommend this place! We've been several times and even hosted a birthday party here. For the kids, games, tickets, prizes...what could be better!? I was expecting dark and dirty and was surprised to find the place well-staffed, bright and CLEAN...I've seen employees cleaning the machines while we were there. The manager is great and very accommodating...actually seems to care that everyone leaves happy. And when I'm ready to pull my hair out helping my kids pick out their prizes, the staff is both helpful and patient! An easy, fun place to take the kids! read more
