I do not like the dentist at all but everyone made me feel very comfortable! Dr. Sadeghi was amazing, he put my mind as rest and answered all my questions. From the receptionists to the dental assistants, everyone was very warm and friendly. I was satisfied with the service they provided me!

WARNING: Deceptive Billing and Medical Misrepresentation…read more Warning to the Queens community regarding the predatory business practices at Dental Specialties of NY on Hillside Ave. My family was subjected to a blatant "bait-and-switch" scheme regarding a tooth extraction on January 6, 2026. During the consultation, Dr. Kambiz Vatandoost and his assistant "Charlie" insisted a bone graft was necessary and quoted $1,600, while falsely claiming it was not covered by insurance. We paid that amount specifically for the graft and explicitly declined a separate $950 Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) treatment. Despite our refusal, they drew blood anyway and claimed the PRF was "free." When we followed up with our insurance provider, we discovered that bone grafts are actually a covered benefit under our plan. More shockingly, when insurance contacted the office directly, the staff denied ever performing a bone graft, claiming they only did a Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) procedure. This means they charged us $1,600 out-of-pocket for a service they told the insurance company never happened, while trying to pass off a treatment we specifically rejected as the primary service. When confronted, the office repeatedly told multiple members of our family--including a Registered Nurse--that we simply "misunderstood" the plan. They denied any wrongdoing despite verbal agreements. It took days of us physically going to the office and causing disruption loudly, as to alert other patients of their conduct, before they finally agreed to a refund. Even then, the resolution was handled with zero integrity. They withheld 5% of our money as a "transaction fee" and forced my relative to sign a liability waiver as a condition for returning our funds. Any "resolution" this office claims to have is likely coerced through these predatory tactics. If you are able to, avoid this place entirely. In my opinion, they should be shut down for what I consider medical malpractice and fraudulent conduct, especially based on the many reviews that detail common experiences. If you absolutely must go there, ensure you read every single piece of paperwork they make you sign. They made my relative sign a document that was not the agreed-upon procedure on purpose so they could charge us for it later and deny what was decided on the day of the visit. Always request a document with a full itemized cost of all procedures before anything is done. Do not trust their verbal quotes, and do not let them gaslight you. We are moving forward with a formal complaint to the NYS Office of Professional Discipline (OPD).

Good to know, noted for future reference. Last night, I started having a toothache but being a stubborn kind of guy, I thought I would gut it out and everything would be just fine. I certainly didn't want to spend my last holiday vacation day going to the dentist. Just in case it got worse, I sent a FB message via Messenger around 1AM looking to get a response by the time I woke up in the morning. Surprisingly, someone responded within a few minutes. Well done, social media and a late night almost instant response. Scored points with me for sure. But I didn't sleep very well because of the toothache so at 5am, I set up an appt with my regular dentist online through his website. I called him an hour before just to make sure we were good but it turns out he was out of town and his staff didn't update his availability. Great! Went to the notebook on my phone and looked up the guys who got all the kudos and accolades. I looked up their reviews (all positive), looked up where they went to school and when they graduated (local guys), and etc. Someone on FB Messenger told me that the office was open at 9am and if I wanted to set up an appointment, they would be happy to take care of me. I called them after finding out my regular dentist wasn't in town and they gave me an appointment for three hours later, on a Sunday! I went in and they followed good social distancing practices, the place was clean, and the doc, Junoh Kim, walked me through everything that was going to happen, during, and after. He answered all my questions with pleasure and patience, no attitude, no judgement, no preaching, which is always appreciated. There wasn't anyone after me but he took his time, didn't rush through the process, and it was generally a good experience, considering it was a visit to the dentist on a Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend. I definitely recommend KW Dental and not that I look forward to the next visit, but I know that I will feel comfortable going to these guys in the future. 2020 is a weird year and businesses are all being affected so wanted to make sure to call these guys out for their good patient services.

She is refusing to reimburse my copay of $1,957 for a bridge work I will not get with her due the after effects from my fist visit with her. BE VERY CAREFUL AND STAY AWAY! I visited this this for the first time, asked alot of questions about the process and her experience given her young age and there were no reviews as she just started this practice in Oakland Gardens. She assured me she was qualified and even showed some resentment over all my questions. I needed a bridge and she assured me she had done this procedure many times. My first appointment for the bridge was on January 18. On this date, she worked on my teeth for 90minutes, said she cleaned and prepared the teeth for the bridge and put temporary crowns. On January 25th, I emailed her office asking if it was normal to have such pain, swollen left side of my face and inability to open my jaw. She replied I may need to see a root canal specialist. I called my old dentist and got a referral to the specialist. As I couldn't open my mouth there was nothing she could do except prescribe muscle relaxants. To date, I am in excruciating pain and still can't open my jaw wide and was told I have to see a TMJ specialist. Given this traumatic experience, I told Dr. Jagan I do not want to proceed with the bridge work with her as I never experienced an inability to open my jaw after a dental procedure with my old dentist. She is refusing to refund my copay of $1,957 and even cashed out my check on January 18. I will most like have to pay out of pocket to see a TMJ specialist for her negligence. Take my advice and stay away from this practice.
