The most flavorful Jamaican food out of the many Jamaican restaurants I've tried. They are consistently so good. Everything is delicious and well seasoned from the jerk chicken, rasta pasta, jerk salmon, and cabbage, mac and cheese, callaloo, and oxtails. My only wish is that they had better packaging for the food. I've noticed that the styrofoam can melt at times due to the heat of the food. This is not very safe to eat from. I hope they consider lining the styrofoam with foil to prevent leeching into the food. Once the to-go containers are addressed this is easily a 5 star establishment. read more

Time for a consistency review. Still very much a 10 out of 10. Service is always efficient and speedy. The ambiance is A+ local Jamaica yawd vibes (iykyk). One Love authentic. The food is outstanding in every possible way. Great quality and phenomenal flavor. The jerk chicken, curry chicken, stew chicken, curry goat, oxtail (no "s" if yuh Jamaican) are all A+. And you must start with a delicious spicy beef patty. This is just one of those restaurants where you can feel the love in the way the food is prepared. Came here on a Tuesday and they were out of the veggie patties, so I got a veggie plate with cabbage, Mac and cheese, and rice and peas. I noticed that the place was super clean and the young lady taking orders was a sweetheart. First taste of the cabbage sent my tastebuds into a dance party. I have had this place a few times since I found out that it was open but today I decided to actually write a review. This is some of the best Jamaican food I have ever tasted in my life. I have physically never been in the building so I do not know how the ambience is, but I can most definitely speak on the food. I have tried the jerk pork, the jerk ribs, the jerk wings, and the oxtails I believe that everything that they offer is good just from having would I have had every time I order takeout, the service is just amazing in reference to my food being cooked well and the plates are always packed. Everything is so good if I only had one critique I would say please put more jerk sauce on the side lol because it is truly so good but outside of that I definitely recommend this place. I decided to try this place because of all the great reviews, however I was so sad the food wasn't what I thought it would be. I ordered through a delivery service and I will say the food was fresh and hot when it arrived. I ordered curry chicken with white rice and plantains. The plantains were delicious! Cabbage was ok too. But the curry chicken kind of disappointed me. Again it was definitely fresh but lacked seasoning. It was also really dry. It had more spice than anything but that was it. I ordered the large portion and they do give you a lot of food! But because I didn't care for what I ordered it unfortunately went to waste. I'm not going to give up on them yet. Hands down one of the best, if not the "BEST" restaurants serving authentic and delicious Jamaican dishes. All of our food was hot, juicy, and very flavorful! I swear on everything that I will not be eating at any other establishment. The staff is friendly and provided awesome customer service to all patrons. No matter what you order your plate will be loaded! We had the Jerk Chicken with sides of cabbage and Mac&cheese (elbow noodles and not that spaghetti noodles mess with cheese sauce so many others be doing). Added a meat pie and cocoa bread! I also had the Oxtails plate with cabbage and plantains, as seen in my picture but I also got a Curry Goat plate to go. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I thought I was in Jamaica again!! This food was the best I have had since my trip to Jamaica years ago. I was immediately transported back to Montego Bay! The jerk chicken was excellent. The stewed chicken and rice was "slap your momma" good! The cabbage and coleslaw were "off the chain" good!!! We have tried Jamaican restaurants ALL over...Dallas, Houston, Atlanta...and NONE came close to this. We live in North Louisiana and plan on making a trip back just to eat at this restaurant. Ten weeks ago, I left this company a good review because I really enjoyed their food so much that I decided to order again. However, after my second order, I left another review because the food was not good. It wasn't the same as the first time. The chicken was dry, suggesting it was baked, and it seemed like they ran out of gravy, so they gave me jerk chicken instead of the stew chicken I had ordered, with a side of jerk sauce. When I left the review, instead of the owner accepting the constructive criticism for what it was, she insisted that my review was fabricated and accused me of trying to tear her business down. I have no intention of ruining anyone's business; I am simply being completely honest about my experience. I recently ordered from them again, and the food was not good. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a long time, and there was no flavor at all in the meal. I also mentioned that there are other Jamaican restaurants in the city that make their food look and taste bad in comparison because it lacks flavor, and that's my honest opinion. Jamaican Jerk House makes your food look and taste like trash. You call yourself a Jamaican restaurant, but just like other Jamaican restaurants in NOLA, your food had no flavor.
