Customer service was A1. Steamed cabbage was very tasty, fresh, and crunchy. The macaroni and cheese was very good considering Jamaican spots aren't known for having good Mac and cheese. Jerk chicken was amazing as well and not too spicy. Only complaint was the oxtail. It was decent but wasn't falling off the bone, they were small, and it needed a little more seasoning. Overall this place has good food, spacious, a good vibe and not super expensive.

I was excited to learn there was a Jamaican restaurant in my neighborhood. I tried it for the first time tonight and everything was fresh and delicious. You walk in and no longer feel like you're in New Orleans, the Jamaican theme was prevalent from the tables to the wall art! The food was authentic and reminded me of my visits to Jamaica! I thoroughly enjoyed the jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. I also really enjoyed the chicken patty, spicy vut flavorful! The service was phenomenal and I will definitely be back!

Jamboclat AUTHENTIC fresh and delicious Jamaican food w 9.99 lunch specials! I got the $9.99 curry chicken with white rice (it also includes a drink). When I walked in, I immediately noticed the colorful decor and lthe smell the fresh chickens being grilled on the grill! Alysha the head chef and part owner is from Jamaica and is super sweet!!!Jamboclaot is new in my neighborhood & definitely deserved a review!

    jerk chicken and oxtail plate

Genuinely some of the best food i've ever had in my life. Like my life was changed in this establishment. The staff was so sweet and so welcoming and i felt like i was in such a comfortable environment. Everyone should come here and bring their whole family.

Jerk pork, rice and peas fried plantain

Food was excellent. Oxtail had great gravy and they were generous with it. Curry sauce was full of flavor. The curry was bold in the best possible way. Rice and peas was the perfect level of moist. Jerk pork was the best roasted pork taste with a jerk that wasn't overly hot. I really like the jerk, some people might want it with more pepper.

Super-friendly staff; delicious, rich, oxtails; flakey meat pies; tender bone-sucking curry goat! I'm headed back only two days later now!!

Rice and peas is perfect with coconut flavor and super moist but not mushy or dry like many other places.

Service was friendly and attentive at all times. Our server was super helpful while deciding what to oder. We did a la carte. Started with the pig ears, which were flavorful and crispy. Then we shared the market salad - didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as we did! The pork belly was super tender and not too fatty. We also loved the curry and market fish as our entrees. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by the hostess. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations that made ordering effortless. I started with the pig ears and had the fried chicken as my entrée, while my colleague chose the vegetarian option. You can find pig ears in Honolulu, but not prepared in this culinary style -- it was a creative and flavorful starter. The fried chicken was perfectly juicy and well-seasoned, and the honey butter added a delightful balance of savory and tangy sweetness. The ambiance was classy yet calm, making it ideal for both conversation and a relaxed dining experience. We also enjoyed lemon drop martinis with dinner -- crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to our meals. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking to enjoy a refined and memorable dinner in New Orleans.

I was really looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately the menu was so limited. No jerk boudin balls, no crawfish Etoufee, fried fish, no oxtails, no Mac and cheese, only 1 order of Brussels sprouts. Still decided to try what they had available. We were told that there would be a 45 min wait for Mac and cheese. Waited over an hour and a half on food and still no Mac and cheese. Service to and from the table was extremely slow! Brussels sprouts came out over cooked. Mushrooms were great! Cooked well still had texture and moisture. Delicious. Jerk chicken was okay. Nothing special really with the flavoring, was cooked well though. Plantains were really good and cooked well. Coco curry shrimp was bussin! Great flavoring and this shrimp was fried to perfection. Pretty spicy but that wasn't a problem for me. Best dish I tasted from the establishment. Lamb chops were good. They were small I think for the price honestly. But no complains about them. The service is what would keep me from coming back here. For it not to be packed I felt like they were way too slow. We spent 2 hours just sitting there waiting. As far as the ambiance is concerned it's NOLA don't expect white table cloth dining at a local spot.

The Kabrit wasn't as tender as I would've liked, but maybe it's prepared a little differently than I am used to. The cocktails are very good and strong, you really only need one. I loveeee Green Plantains and these did not disappoint, especially with the Pikliz dipping sauce. I love the music played here, it's a very nice blend of Afrobeats, Konpa, and other genres. The sweet plaintains with coco cream was life changing! No cap! It was so light and creamy and sweet and fresh and incredibly delicious! The grilled shrimp app was also delicious. It was enough to share. It was good and spicy. The plantains with the shrimp were bland but helped to ease the spiciness. The entrees were just as good. And so were the cocktails. I see why this is a local's fave and now it's one of my faves too! Our server was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was cute and bright on the inside. It was a little spendy. But everything in nawlins is a bit spendy. GF and vegetarian options. They do accept reservations.
