I ordered ahead through the Jamba app and picked up at this location for the first time. Usually, I go to the Jamba on 65th since they have a shared parking lot. The Alahambra location is much smaller with minimal street parking outside that's metered. Fortunately, parking wasn't an issue when I arrived on a weekend evening; however, it might be a deterrent in the future since this Jamba feels out of the way and inconvenient to get to. When I arrived, there was one person working. She asked if I had a mobile order, and after I confirmed, she assured me that she'd start working on mine next. Service is decent; however, I notice Jamba is moving towards a more contactless experience since if you decide to walk in, you'd place your order at a kiosk. This may be worth it since there's a 3% surcharge on mobile orders, but I still do it for the convenience of grab and go. I ordered a medium chocolate covered orange smoothie with the daily vitamin and zinc boost. The smoothie was refreshing and the perfect pick-me-up after running errands. I was able to take 50% off with an offer in the app. I'll also be taking advantage of my free, small birthday smoothie soon too! Pro tip: download the app since the deals are worth it. read more

Just had my first negative experience at a jamba juice! I never thought I'd say it! But I order double whey on a large smoothie to get all my macros in and this lady didn't want to give me the whole blender full of smoothie! Usually I get a large plus a small or even medium because the extra why makes it so fluffy and I log it as an entire meal buuuuuut not today! She looked like the manager and said it wasn't her policy but I've been coming to this store very regularly this summer since my kids swim is right down the street and never had this problem! She even REMADE my drinks and it was too much for a large and kids cup, i was like i paid for everything in that blender right? Why cant I have it? She said she'd have to sell me another smoothie??? I've NEVER heard that before! She ended up giving me a refund because she didn't understand that I wanted to add the macros to my app for 2 scoops of whey and that it was mixed into the whole blender! She said I could have a kids cup but didn't seem to get that she put 2 scoops of whey into the blender and if I didn't consume it all, I wouldn't be getting the proper amount of protien for the day, even the people in line where like she paid for it, give it to her, I even offered to pay the 50 cents for a cup but she wanted to charge me for a whole new smoothie with my paid for ingredients!!!! I visit the Jamba Juice at 1127 El Hammer in Sacramento, California on Wednesday around one in the afternoon as I walked in the young lady and I felt like she was a manager and I did ask later and she was she had the most horrible energy her name was (YAMMI) if I am spelling it right and not for sure however, she did not greet me. She did not greet any other customers that came in after me there was only one young man and I asked for his name his name was XAVIER Moreno , she approached and had such good energy as I entered. There was another young lady, her energy wasn't bad she didn't speak, but she still acknowledge with the smile so I will not say nothing negative on her, but I must brag about this young man because this is my first time seeing him and the energy on him was so amazing I said what is your name because the energy that is on you it needs to fall on the rest that you're working with... young man thanked me, and shared briefly as was ordering that his grandmother had passed, and that says a lot right there because she had just passed as of yesterday, but yet this young man ENERGY was AWESOME .. I still proceeded to be friendly with the manager, and even complemented her eyes she had the most horrible energy is sad to see a lot of young people who have managing positions but yet don't have the right attitude. The only reason why I ordered from this particular Jamba Juice is because of this young man. Amazing energy he needs to be trained for management or he needs to leave and go to a company that appreciate him. I visited this location for the 4th time this week. The service is a bit inconsistent at this location, but today was too much. I was ordering a kid size Jamba Juice for my daughter. The lady assisting me refused to let me order a kid's size because I am not a kid. She was argumentative with me, and I told her I do this all the time and no other locations have an issue with this. Jamba Juice, or apparently "Jamba" as it is now called, has been a go-to of mine - particularly in the summer months - for just about as long as I've been in Sacramento. And above all other Jamba locations, this has been my favorite because they consistently make the best drinks and they do so with a smile. I recently came in for the umpteenth time to get my favorite drink off the menu - the Orange Dream Machine. This heavenly mix of sherbert, dairy and orange juice tastes exactly like an Orange Julius and is probably healthier than an actual julius made with ice cream. They do a great job of hiring staff here because they are always friendly and professional, despite the many new faces I have seen over the years. I'll also say that Jamba is definitely a treat for me. These drinks are high in sugar and not as healthy as they'd like you to believe. Nevertheless, it's about the best option out there for something cooling and refreshing in the summer months that also packs a good number of vitamins and protein. read more

I have been here probably 5-6 times in the last year (I always stop here when I'm nearby) and even though they are always busy, the team here seems super efficient and I always get exactly what I order- a small or medium apples and green smoothie- made perfectly and quickly. I have been to several Jamba locations in Sacramento, and I just won't go back. However, this location always delivers. When I have the motivation and focus to shop for and make my own green smoothie, I do so but those times are embarrassingly infrequent. For that reason, I appreciate Jamba Juice and especially the Alhambra location. read more

This is the only mid-town Sacramento Jamba. As such, beggars can't be choosers. The location is ok... but parking can be a challenge as with any downtown/midtown places. The joint is small but is sufficient for my needs since I usually get Jamba as take out. If you want to eat at a table, there are 3 outside on the sidewalk if you like the occasional midtown noise, homeless walking around, and sewer smell. I wished they had a larger space for indoor seating. The service is neutral and the workers might as well be robots. They say "hello" but couldn't care less because it's just a job to them. Maybe someday the location will be replaced with a vending machine kiosk since I'm not paying for anything extra here other than a quick nutritious fruity snack within walking distance of my day job. Sorry folks, this location doesn't have that special feel and quality as other Jamba locations for the premium cost. In the end, I still give them 3 stars because I want a Jamba Juice once in awhile within close proximity. read more

I've been coming to this Jamba location for over a year, and I bring my own mug. The employees usually always let me use it and just pour the smoothie from the pitcher straight into my container. Today and maybe 2 other times, someone will say they can't do that unless it's in a "Jamba Juice" container (which you must purchase, of course). The whole point of bringing my own container is to reduce single-use plastic. Jamba Juice is not concerned with reducing their use of throwaway plastic. When they took my mug, they sat it down next to a plastic cup, poured the smoothie from the pitcher into the plastic cup, and then poured it from the plastic cup to my container- ridiculous! This isn't about reducing contamination as the containers never touch each other. I pointed this out to the two employees there (Donna and a younger guy), and they just shrugged. For whatever reason, one employee had a rude tone to me when I entered ("Oh you're mobile order--you need to wait.") her demeanor was unexpected and made me wonder what the hell was going on. When I did get my mobile order, it was frozen and I was in a hurry so hesitant to even go back in. But, when I re-entered, Sarah Kay apologized that I would have to wait again (she had observed the other employee snap earlier) and gave me a free item. I honestly could have done without Jamba after today, but Sarah made everything easy and pleasant--and made a point to confirm that the earlier experience was not okay. I'll be back! Get there and there's one person in front of me, 3 workers. Took 20 minutes for me to get my damn smoothie and they didn't even get the order right. Girl takes awhile to complete the order in front me. Wasn't like she took the order and one of the others made it, so now my wait time is doubled. Literally after she completes it, she makes herself a drink, takes my order (in which I've been waiting patiently), and then just walks away. I don't want to show bad review because I've been here many times and it's always been good. This morning I went to get oatmeal on my way to work, oatmeal with blueberries, honey and brown sugar. To start off the brown sugar was hard it was not crumbly, it was in hard balls so I believe it had to been stale, secondly my oatmeal had weird stringy clumpy goo in it, never seen this in oatmeal. I thought it was weird she was mixing it in a crock pot which is odd to me never seen that. I've always been a fan of Jamba Juice and just recently have been getting their juices instead of smoothies. This one time I remember getting there a little early as they were setting up. They open at 6:30 and it was 6:26 or something like that, the lady who was outside, told me they weren't open yet, but I figured it was a few minutes so I'd go inside since it was still a little chilly out. I walk inside and the other girl tells me the same thing, I told her, I know and I'll wait. She gave me this look like I was stupid. By that time, there were 2 minutes left! Sheesh. I don't know what the big issue was here. So the girl outside comes in and takes my order and she was a little nicer compared to the other, I guess you can say. It was just an awkward experience, I guess I should have waited outside, I don't know. It is the closest one to my work place, so I have no choice, unless I want to drive further. I was pleasantly surprised by her generous offer. Well, I did not like the mocha drink and true to her word, the young lady made me a chocolate smoothie. That chocolate drink was delicious. Jamba, an old friend... Jamba was my first food industry job and since I know how the company works, I continue to pop in once awhile for something. I came into Jamba Juice this morning for a quick pick-me-up before work. I have always been obsessed with the fresh squeezed OJ Carrot juice mixes. I got one of those, as well as my fave (especially for summer), a Tropical Pitaya smoothie with blueberries instead of mango and add spinach. It's so refreshing and sweet, but with the chia seeds and spinach, it's a great lunch! I also got my friend a drink - so three drinks total. Jamba Juice has definitely upped its prices since I worked there. 6 years ago. Three drinks, one a small, cost me $20. I came into Jamba specifically because I had a gift card, but I was still shocked at the final total. The two girls working were very upbeat and consistently fast when making my smoothie and juices. If I remember correctly, there's a 3 minutes maximum time for each drink. I'd say they completed that with ease and grace (: This is the first Jamba i've ventured into in the Midtown/Downtown area but it was a nice experience. It's cool to see smoothies popular when I was in high school still alive and kicking today. Jamba is known for its following and popularity, especially from health officials. This Jamba is close to the hospitals, so I'm sure it has a clientele to match. The store itself was very clean and smelled like fresh oranges - a Jamba necessity! Would not recommend trying to come 8 minutes early, or early at all. They won't let you in even though they can obviously see that you are waiting to come inside. For god sakes, 8 minutes early and I can't come inside? Both the female workers just stared at me and the gentlemen that had also arrived early, and didn't even bother to open the door and say that they cannot open until 7:30am. Obviously the store does not open until 7:30am, but my main point is , at least have the common courtesy to not just stare at your customers, and just tell them why you guys can't open yet. Wow Wow Wow, I love this location, the energy was positive and authentic from the moment I opened the door. I find that a lot of location are inconsistent in the method for making smoothies with causes certain smoothies to not taste as good at times, however, my smoothie here was right on point, plus they have mastered the frozen cycle method for toasting my Apple cinnamon pretzel, I can't wait until this become a company wide method.
