I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service at Nekter today, Sunday 06/29. I walked in around 9:30 AM and didn't leave until 10:00 AM and this was for only two drinks. When I arrived, I wasn't acknowledged at all. I asked a question and was ignored, so I ended up having to use the kiosk and figure out the ordering process myself. One drink came out, but after waiting another 10 minutes, I had to ask about my second drink. I was then told they weren't even making it yet. The lack of communication, urgency, and basic customer service was extremely frustrating. Mistakes happen, but being ignored and having to chase down an order that should have been handled is not acceptable. I hope the team can improve their service and attention to customers. read more

I'm a regular customer of this smoothie company -- I usually go to the location near my house 1-2 times a week and have had no issues there. However, whenever I visit this particular location, the experience is consistently bad. I've been served burnt waffles and half-melted smoothies multiple times, and I finally reached my limit on my most recent visit. I let the employee know the waffle was burnt and asked for either a refund or a new one. She said she couldn't give refunds but could remake it. The second waffle? Also burnt. I asked again for a refund, and she told me only the manager could do that -- and that I'd need to email him. So I did. I explained the situation, expecting a basic apology or refund. Instead, the manager claimed they "did nothing wrong" and said he would be adding corporate to our email thread because he didn't think a refund was fair. I even asked him, "What did I do wrong?" -- because what kind of business refuses to take responsibility for an obviously burnt product? What really blew my mind is that the manager admitted he checked the camera footage and saw that the waffles were removed 6 seconds after the timer went off -- and still said that didn't justify a refund. Apparently, even acknowledging they overcooked it wasn't enough for him to make it right. For reference, the waffle they advertise is a nice light golden color. Mine was dark brown and so hard it crunched when I tapped it with my nail. And I left with that burnt waffle and a melted smoothie -- $15 wasted, and zero accountability from the staff. Thankfully, corporate stepped in, apologized, admitted the situation was mishandled, and gave me more than $15 back on my account. So shoutout to them for doing the right thing. But just so you know -- this is a franchise location, not corporate-run, and it really shows. If you ever have an issue, you'll likely be blamed, dismissed, or ignored for asking for what you paid for. Save yourself the hassle. I definitely won't be returning to this location. We have been to other locations of nekter but this one was brand new for us. It's in the same plaza as happy lemon (one of our fave boba spots). It's got a nice modern decor and it's quite small but it def wasn't crowded when we went. Fiancé opted for the dragonfruit açaí bowl and it was a very good portion. It's only one size and it was the same size as palmetto supfoods medium bowl. Contacted dragonfruit and açaí base with bananas, strawberries and granola on top. Would have been perfect if we added bee pollen and agave on top. I opted for the pumpkin bowl which is seasonal. It comes with a pumpkin base, Greek yogurt, granola, apples , cinnamon and pumpkin spice powder. It had a good pumpkin flavor, it wasn't too sweet or overwhelming and everything paired together nicely. Would definitely come back for another one! Overall, we love this spot and would come back for our açaí bowl fixes. I haven't tried the smoothies recently so I can't comment on other items. Total for 2: $24 read more

Visited this juice bar for the first time. I ordered a smoothie and when I walked out and tried it, I did not like it at all. It was chunky and I did not like the flavor. I went back inside and explained and asked if there was any way I could order a different smoothie instead, one that was a bit more normal in regard to ingredients. The young kid behind the counter didn't seem too sure about what he was saying "uhhh I don't think we really do that, but what do you not like about it?" I told him it was chunky and overall I just didn't like it and would like a different smoothie. He tells me he can reblend it for me with more banana and milk. So he takes my smoothie that I drank from back behind the counter, dumps it into a blender and reblends it. I walked out and tried it and it was worse. Yeah it wasn't as chunky but now it just tastes like bananas and it's liquid - not a smoothie. I drove home and threw it away. A waste of $9. Will not be back here, or any Nékter location if this is their policy. Any other drink establishment would have been eager to remake a drink if the customer was not satisfied. Heck, I've even sent back a $23 cocktail in a bar in LA after my waitress noticed I wasn't digging it. Plenty of other juice/smoothie bars in Sacramento I will be trying instead. read more

On a Friday, having just taken my pups for a nice long walk around Curtis Park, I decided to grab a light lunch at the Nekter juice bar located in Crocker Village. I ordered my typical açai bowl and it was just as delicious as always. My only qualm, and I'm not sure if this is a side effect of the pandemic or not, but the staff were quite cold and unfriendly. Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Clean but small interior. The indoor seating looks a bit cramped; there are a few tables enough to seat ten people, all close to the entrance. Some outdoor seating. Very few customers in the late afternoon on a weekday when I came. No hand sanitizer available, and the staff do not wear masks. They do wear gloves and seem to change to a new pair between customers though. The customer service was good. I ordered two drinks - the pitaya passion and strawberry green tea. The teas are made ahead of time, so the short wait time is mainly from the staff cutting up fresh fruit. The staff was considerate and offered a cup carrier. The pitaya passion was just the right sweetness, though it does have more sour notes as you drink. I would suggest asking them to go easy on the ice, they put half a cup in there for the regular/medium size. If for whatever reason you're drinking after all the ice has melted, the flavor is very diluted. read more

Decided to visit on opening day. I went in around noon & it wasn't busy at all, I was the only customer. I was greeted right away asked if I had any questions. The menu is posted on the outside store window, above & behind the register & on their app. Plenty of places to find what you want to get. The store was clean & neat. As far as COVID guidelines, the staff are wearing masks, there is hand sanitizer available & there are signs reminding customers about social distancing & how many customers allowed inside at one time. I ordered the Açaí Peanut Butter bowl. It was made very quickly & it looked very picture perfect. It also tasted as good as it looked. The fruits were very fresh & the açaí base was very consistent. For reference I like making my own smoothies at home and my go to is frozen mangoes with almond milk, honey, and chia seeds, so it was as similar as it could be to what they offer. I wasn't expecting much because I haven't really heard of this place before or looked into it. I ordered a small which was $9 after tax and was pretty bummed out. It was watered down a bit in my opinion but maybe that's how it always tastes? The service was fine not much to complain about, and the interior was small but cute and clean. If I could put no stars I would. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with customer service and the management. Their "star" employee is the rudest person I've ever encountered. When I tried to contact management or get the girls name, we were accused of harassing her. I think anywhere I spend my money and consume food; I should be able to get the person's name that I have making my food so I can complain. Obviously, this owner doesn't care and approves of this type of behavior toward her customers. The owner stood by her employee's attitude and didn't care if she lost our business. $24 every day for my husband and me and she didn't care. They've lost my business for good. I will be finding a new juice place to go to. What has happened to good customer service? I guess you could chalk this up to bad leadership and ownership skills. Too inexperienced with all attitude. No skills or customer service. The owner is in the wrong industry. Figure it out people. The more you tolerate this type of customer service the worse it's going to get. Crocker Location: I've been loving this place for about 1 year now, but lately the consistency lacks. I made a 15 min drive each time, specifically because I liked the customer service and the consistency and their product making. As you can see from my picture, the Açaí Superfood bowl that I paid $12.35 plus tax for, is barely halfway full and has some fruit on top. I used to get this packed to the rim with all the stuff they say in the original recipe, only to see that they are now cutting corners. I asked the new girl if this is the new direction they received from management or they way they are doing them now and she explained how she puts the bowl together. However when my other bowl was ready, that one was full as before. I then again pointed it out to her that they are not filled the same and she just looked at me. It would have been nice for her to offer to add to my previous more expensive bowl. Last time I ordered 2 bowls, I had the same issue.
