I've passed by here many times and never thought to eat here since it's not my usual "go-to" type of food. But now that I'm trying to live a "healthier lifestyle", I thought I'd give this place a try after the gym one day. This is a quick walk from the 24 hour fitness down the plaza so it was not hard to get here for me. I'm not sure if they validate parking, but you can park in the garage next to 24 fitness or the garage by the movie theaters if you need to find close parking. When I got here, they were going to close shop in about 10 minutes. I skimmed the menu quickly and decided to get the power bowl since I wanted some protein and a healthier option post workout. I did ask to sub blueberries with bananas (so I got all bananas) and asked for a scoop of almond butter instead of a sizzle. The lone worker was able to accommodate me. Speaking of worker, the lone worker here was great. She was friendly and accommodated my slight modifications with no issues. She made the bowl nice as well. Inside the shop, it is small and there is very limited seating. But you can take your bowl with you and eat it around doco, which I think is the better option unless it's hot. The bowl itself was great. It tasted fresh and the fruit was good. I like the crunch from the granola and nuts and the scoop of a almond butter added great texture and flavor. The banana was good as well. Acai fresh in Davis is still my #1 bowl, but this is still a great alternative. I'll make time to come back, maybe after another gym session. read more

I was at a friend's house for a holiday get together. Their family members brought a surprise for us to try. From what I understand, they offer different types of juice programs. For example, a two day cleanse, a reset cleanse, a gut health support, a balanced reset, and so much more!!! They also have immunity, electrolyte pack, nutrition, daily wellness, different juices. ( Protein and fruit smoothies ). I would go on their website and educate yourself on all of their different products. Then check it out in person so you ask more questions if needed. There's a reward program to join to get extra perks! They cater as well. I have not personally been at this location. I have had their Spiced Apple Cider and their Immunity Tonic from the party. I've always had good experience with this location of Pressed. When you order online, it's always ready when you pick up. They are always ready for any questions. Have brought home juice cleanses and smoothies. Family have tried the tropical, açaí, and strawberry orange mango smoothies. Mom's favorite is the tropical with apple, mango, banana, pineapple, lemon and my favorite is the açaí with apple, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, açaí, banana, lemon. The store is located at the Golden one center on the lower level right underneath the Mexican restaurant above. You'll probably have to pay for parking to come to this location. I decided to do a 2-day cleanse and I got the beginner cleanse juices. Although it was beginner, I will say, doing a cleanse is not for the weak! I was so hungry despite drinking all 6 juices each day, on my second day I had to eat something. It was my first time doing a cleanse so I now know what to expect for the next time I do one. I love the juices here, they all taste fresh and delicious. Every time I go in I get a bad vibe, like they were doing something they weren't supposed to be doing. I ask questions, and half the time I get good information. Sometimes I get treated poorly, as I always bring in my dog, but I never get asked if he would like a pup cup. Today I went in, and the blond girl I had never seen there before asked if I needed help, and I asked first if she could break a $50 bill. She said that they never accept cash at that location. She then said she's unsure, even though she has been there for six months, as if to suggest she knows and is trying to act like a snob. The fresh goods such as their Freezes and Acai bowls are a big let down here. They are not ready past opening hours and do not offer as many choices as their sister location. According to their website, this location store hours are 11am-4pm everyday with Thursday being closed. It was 11:30am on a Wednesday morning and they just opened a minute after. This seems to be commonplace for this location to open only when staff is ready rather than having a set schedule. Personally I did not wait too long as I arrived closer to the half hour but I noticed there were others waiting around. To many of our disappointment, their Freezes were all still liquid and not ready for the customers before me who had patiently waited. Please update your store hours if it is not operational. I've been here a few times now, but decided to stop in today to try one of their freezes. I ordered the Chocolate Freeze that is made with filtered water, dates, almonds, cacao powder and sea salt. Next to the escalators in the DOCO shopping area is this petite juice place. The entire interior can be seen from the outside thanks to the windowed exterior, but inside is a brightly-lit space of white walls and flooring with occasional panel of light-brown wood. A yogurt machine sits in the background - behind the tall counter that greets you - next to the massive refrigerators that house the fresh juices. They had a special for two juices and two shots for 12 bucks, not bad for a first-try round. After some samples that ranged between tasty and...healthy, I decided to get the oddly named Citrus 2 (pineapple, lemon, honey, mint) and Charcoal lemonade (activated charcoal, lemon, lavender) for the main juices. Shots were Vitality (lemon, cayenne, and ginger) and Wellness (elderberry, honey). Taste-wise: prepare yourself for some straight-up unfiltered juice with sweetening only coming with a few flavors - and that's only through a fruit's natural sweetness. This isn't a bad thing, just don't expect it to be like Jamba Juice or Mott's. The Citrus 2 leaned on the sweet side of things since I sought it out. It had a pleasant taste of pineapple with just a bit of refreshingly tart mint and lemon, and made sweet by honey. It's a sure-fire winner I'd rather call: citrus mint julep. The charcoal lemonade was a pleasant, watery lemonade that didn't offer much in sweetness, but ended on a lovely floral note with the lavender. Now the shots proved more pungent. The Vitality slaps you in the face and rampages down your throat with bitter/tart lemon, burning ginger, and spicy AF cayenne. It clears your sinuses and then some; just don't expect it to be sweet at all and it should be noted it's to add to the bigger juices. The Wellness leaned on the more pleasant side as a thin, almost watery, mix of elderberry slightly sweetened by honey. Not bad for natural juices even if it leans more on the weight-loss/healthy eating side of things. There are a few options that are indeed sweeter, but you'll have to read the menu carefully and try a few samples. I give it a great 4. read more

Yay! I was excited to hear that they were opening a Pressed Juicery in DOCO & it's up and running already (minus the soft serve machine). It's in a convenient location next to Macy's and a great meal alternative if you're tired of eating fast food/downtown restaurants. The staff were welcoming when I came in and even managed to handle a group of 7 in front of me at the same time as helping me out. I also give the two ladies at the register props for helping us/me out with only one working register. They kindly let us taste a few flavors, apologized that only one register was working, talked to us & just offered great customer service. I know the location is new and that's what should happen, so I hope the customer service continues to stay the same! The promotions going on right now are pretty decently priced (~$2-6 per item); however, when the promotions done, I don't know if I want to spend over $6 for a "healthy drink" - let alone spend for a whole week worth of juice detoxing. Most juices have a lot of sugar, but this place is a great place to incorporate some fruits and vegetables that most people don't buy often. My weekly ritual! I come here way too often not to be a Pressed Member. Membership is pretty much free with the commitment of ordering two signature juices or freezes. You only have to spend $10 per month and it gets automatically uploaded from the day you start membership. I find myself here reloading every week. I wish that there was an app for this place because I come here so often. I love the celery juice (5 for $20 with or without membership) with a wellness shot. This is my go-to every morning to start my day. Then for the afternoon I love the Tumeric Orange with a Vitality shot or a Roots 1. Those are my absolute favorite signature juices. My favorite seasonal drink is the Strawberry Almond and my favorite seasonal shot is Tart Cherry. Both are perfect after a workout. The strawberry almond has coconut water that makes it super refreshing and light for an almond milk. The tart cherry is a good muscle relaxer to help relieve tightness. This Pressed Juicery is conveniently located in the same DOCO area same as the 24 hour fitness. This location closes later than the one located at the ice blocks, so I am able to grab my juices for the week after the gym classes. This spot has my favorite guilt free healthy dessert. The chocolate and pumpkin freeze are my fall favorite, and chocolate and strawberry freeze are my summer favorite. My go to 3 toppings usually include any combination of blueberries, strawberries, candied pecan pieces, almonds, chocolate sauce, cookie pieces, raspberry puree, and/or the granola butter. I always love coming to pressed. All of the workers I've had encounters with are genuinely so nice and friendly. In my most recent visit, my friends and I met the owner of the location who opened the store and he was super nice and genuine. The conversation we had with him made our experience way better. I love their juice shots and my favorites is their freezes. I'm pretty basic so i usually just get the vanilla with the same toppings everytime.
