Dr. Allen is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. He is very thorough and takes his time. My family has been coming here for a couple years now and have never had a problem. I have just discovered DR. Allen's practice. The first time I went he sat and took time with me to discuss my problems and how long i had them etc. He performed several adjustments that day and i felt immediate relief. One of them had been a sore neck, on one side that had been troubling me for a while and after adjustments felt and instant relief. Great chiropractor! This review is for my 9 y.o. & I. Me: I was nervous at first I'll admit, it's my first chiropractic experience. I went in for back stiffness and weak wrist from a fall years ago. Dr. Allen's neck adjustment was not severe at all, it was actually quite gentle and felt more like a stretch. Once I got past the neck adjustment and realized I was not paralyzed, I relaxed much more. The appt was everything my primary doctor is not. It's very comprehensive, it's intuitive, and scientific all wrapped together. Dr Allen went through charts and explaining how the body is connected from the spine to the nerves, to organs. I'll be coming back! My 9 y.o.: my son had some back aches from skateboarding, nothing too severe. I wasn't sure there were chiropractors for children. It was my son who wanted me to ask for him when I made my appt. Ironically, Dr. Allen sees quite a few children. I was surprised! He was great w/kids and adjusted my son perfectly. My son kept saying how he felt like he was walking on clouds after. What impressed me also was Dr Allen connecting dots to my son's autoimmune issues. Dr Allen's treatments, especially his use of the laser for my back and leg problems, continue to amaze me and give me hope! His experiences treating professional athletes (the Clippers) with the laser in 2008 are now of great use to him when treating patients like me. My back surgery occurred decades ago but now as I age & experience stress my back's scar tissue is creating havoc. The pain has, in past few weeks prevented me from walking or standing much. Dr. Allen doesn't give up nor does he allow me to. Today I'm walking much better as well as standing for a longer period of time! When I tried to make an appointment, they gave me a really hard time. They were like I was asking something horrible. I even told them if they didn't want me to come over then fine, I was going to somewhere else. Then finally, the were like, " oh...no, no, we just don't take any customer after 6." Well, I was asking around 530 to 6. And the previous day of my appointment, I was still sick and coughing pretty bad. I didn't want to give this cold to my therapist, so, I called them and left a message. Next day, they called me and complained in a super bad attitude. I told them I had left a message. The lady was so grumpy and rude and kept telling me he didn't get any message. Well, the voice of the recording was definitely her voice and the number I was calling is same as the previous day. She even asked me what time I had called. I gave her an answer. But again, she told me she had not received anything. Even she yelled at me, " I didn't get any messages. That's what I'm saying!!". So, I told them the same thing. " But I left a message and that's what I'm saying.". Then guess what?! They hung up on me. What the fxxx is the crazy reception?! I love participating in obstacle course racing, and you can imagine, I need a chiropractor and his staff to realign me. Where I find Allen Chiropractic has its advantages are: staff experience, onsite digital imaging, and value-add information. Having experience with sports-related chiropractic work is HUGE for me, and those similar to my extracurricular activities. Having onsite digital imaging comes into play as after having images taken, Dr. Allen can review right away instead of sending away for a day or so to receive the images. Value-add information through monthly newsletters by email or print or even onsite consults...can't beat that with a wooden stick! My Primary Care Physician told me that i had a peripheral nerve damage on my right arm and there was little to nothing he could do to help me other than loading me with pain killers and antiinflamatory medication. I also had a muscle tear as a result of overstretching, on my left leg, in which the pain was so excruciating, that could not walk strait and was keeping me up at night, every time i tried to stretch my leg. I choose to see Dr Allen instead and from my very first Laser section, my pain was from 10 to 4 in both areas. We are down to 4 sections by now and I have never felt better. The pain is complete gone, there is not inflammation and I feel so energetic that i have even decided to do kickboxing classes. As a former professional athlete, my body has taken a beating. Dr. Allen was recommended to me by another athlete as the go to for treating the cause of pain not just the symptoms. He has been treating me for three years and under his care I have improved posture and no longer have chronic lower back pain. Dr. Allen keeps my golf game on point! I went and saw Dr. Allen 2 weeks ago for some routine maintenance. You know when you lay your leg over the side of the bed and try to loosen your lower back but sometimes can't get it to loosen up.
