I went in for highlights and a trim. Cayla basically poured a gallon of bleach on my hair and completely butchered the cut. Went there because the name seemed like it was a blonde specialist. $250 later my hear looks almost as dark as my natural look. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Called Cayla to inform her of the issue. She isn't willing to say sorry. Something went wrong. Let's fix it. Instead she blames me for what ever reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She say my hair is damaged and she though it best not to over process. She is wrong. Yes. I have a bit of damage like anyone who colors their hair. Regardless. She won't admit fault or offer to fix it until 2 months out. Once I'm out 2 months she would offer a small discount. I was happy at my normal place but they have broken English. I went there be because my grandkids and step daughter were happy. She lies about what she uses on hair. I checked for a license. The shop is licensed, but I had no way to find if Cayla was licensed. I'm not one to leave bad reviews. And I totally sat before I came up with the words to say. For my daughter's 11th birthday, my gift to her was to let her get her hair colored. She wanted some blonde. I found a photo that was both different, but not extreme to use as the inspo photo. Then I stumbled across someone who was new to the area trying to build her clientele. I showed her the photo and she was excited, as was I! The day before the appt, I got a text from the salon to reschedule her, but I couldn't because it was timed out to be her birthday gift. The owner, whose name was Cayla said she would accommodate us and put us on her books, which I felt relieved about. She had to know what she was doing since she was the owner, right? So I brought my daughter to James Blonde in Cape Coral for her appt and another employee took her over to her chair and insisted she needed a cut (she just had one two weeks before so I declined) then she chatted with Cayla and came back stating she was going to use a bonder on my daughters virgin hair to save it from the bleach, at this point I admit, I should have spoke up, I was uncomfortable, I know hair enough to know my daughters hair was healthy, just curly. But I sat there as my daughter smiled ear to ear. Her FIRST salon experiance! it took a lot to sit there and watch what was going on, but my daughter also knows me and if I showed any sign of aggravation, she would have been upset. So I kept my cool. Needless to say, the bleach didn't pull because of this "bonder". When I spoke up, because even adding a second bowl of bleach, it didnt look anything like the inspo picture, Cayla decided to jump in to "fix it". She did a bleach wash on my daughter's hair which turned it orange. At this point, my blood was boiling. I just wanted to leave. She begged me to come back after charging me $140 for ruining my daughter's hair. Even offered to do something to mine. I'm extremely picky with my hair, and that wasn't happening. I smiled, paid her employee and tipped her $50 because I felt bad for HER. But they wouldn't let me leave without paying, so whatever, at this point I wanted to go before I made any bad decisions. When I pointed out what went wrong, and told her that I have bleached the tips of Raegans hair years before to dye them pink before cutting them off and I knew her hair lifted perfectly, she asked me "why didn't you do this yourself them?" The downright unprofessionalism was horrifying. My daughter sensed my tone and started crying, I didn't want it to drag on anymore. I paid and left. I let a month go by and just watched the toner fade away and the orange come back. I found the original girl that was supposed to do her hair, she had her own falling out with the studio and opened her own. I made an appt with her and she fixed her hair. Raegan was almost in tears with how she loved her hair after it was "fixed". I'm going to post some pictures below for you all to see. Before, after stop #1 and after the original girl that was SUPPOSED TO fixed it. 1/10 DO NOT recomend James Blonde to anyone. It was. HORRIBLE experience. read more

I went to the Jane's blonde salon on December 23rd for an installation of hair extensions. I was there for approximately 4 hours. It is a maybe an hour and a 1/2 process. Once I got home I realized she sew the extensions together, had to use Bobby pins to secure the extensions , falling out . Called Cayla at 630pm that day and rebooted an appt for Dec 29, 2023 for 515pm and let her know had to leave by 645 as I needed to pick up a airport. Upon arriving after hours she had another client and waited till 615 She didn't have sewing machine to sew the extensions together. She asked me to help. Crazy as I'm not the hair dresser. I didn't leave till after 9pm and person I had to pick up at airport had to wait till 930pm, plane landed at 715pm. Once again extensions Cayla installed are sticking out of my head. Can't pull my hair back and when I wear it down it's so obvious. I forwarded photos to Cayla for her to fix. Her response , stop messaging and harassing me. Unfortunately I'm left to file small claims case. My appointment with anexlerienxed hairdresser is not till next week, which means I has to walk around like this for 25 days.
