He's a miracle worker! I work out a lot and I'm a hairstylist so I occasionally get it in intense pain shooting down my shoulder and arm. I sometimes will go a whole week with his pain hoping it goes away (it doesn't). I'm so thankful for Dr Handy, it's like magic! He spends 30 minutes doing a bunch of different therapy's and by the next day I'm 90% better within 48 hours it's gone. I'm going to start this by saying that I have been seeing chiropractors for the last 15+ years, and though I'm not sure...I've probably seen over two dozen different ones. (I used to be a member of The Joint....which was a terrible idea). Generally I wait until at least a few sessions to leave a review, but I feel so much better today with almost full range of motion...that I felt compelled to review early. ANYWAYS ... I have Kaiser, and anyone that knows anything about them knows that I HAD to go with someone in my network. I've always been hesitant of HMO providers because a lot of times it's the luck of the draw. Luckily for me I decided to go with Dr. Handy, and the biggest contributing factor was the number of reviews from people who have been seeing him since the mid-90s! I went in with a really painful, and somewhat stiff, neck that was a pinched nerve. Being my first time, Dr. Handy introduced me to some of his other techniques and equipment (Kaiser only covers adjustments), and I can definitely say that a few of them I had never seen before. I can't even really go into too much detail other than it was an Eastern medicine technique, and an infrared treatment. (Both of which I plan to do again for acute pain). It was definitely NOT the typical chiro visit that I am used to (you know the ones....the "go through the motions" sessions), and I could tell that Dr. Handy genuinely cared about my pain. I could also tell, as best I could at least, that he REALLY knows what he is talking about/doing. Long story short ... aside from the great treatment and adjustments (he adjusted a part of my upper back/neck that NO ONE else has done before, so it felt amazing), Dr. Handy was extremely honest in his assessment and treatment plan afterwards. I think my favorite thing he said to me was, "I'm not like other chiros. I'm not going to suggest a $4,000, 6 month long plan or anything like that", and implied, at least I think, that the less he sees me the better he and I are both doing. Dr. Handy is incredible. He's got so many tricks up his sleeve and his vast knowledge is next level. He cured my painful plantar fasciitis and we are moving on to other issues. Even if you don't have pain, he's the one to see for a tune up. There is always something going on with our bodies. He has helped my father for years. My family has always gone to Chiropractors but Dr. Handy is the best. We are so lucky to have found him. First visit, finds exactly what is wrong with you and tells you exactly what is wrong with you for you to understand your body better. He immediately found my troubled area and described what happened and what steps he would need to take to fix it. I've been to many, many different chiropractors over the years, and I'll keep coming back to Dr. Handy. He's thorough, he is knowledgeable in sport's medicine which was a plus for me, and he's the best adjuster I've ever seen. Recently I had slipped multiple disks and my hips were out of alignment. I'm not always easy to put back into place as my back is usually really tight, but Handy is a quick, gentle, and precise adjuster. And, overall, he cares and is reasonably priced. He'll work with you if you need it, which is much better compared to some of the other more brutal adjusters I've seen who wanted thousands for PT. Highly recommend! =) read more

I got lucky choosing Dr. Handy. He has been a great help in adjusting my lateral rotation from a past car accident. I spent thousands at a previous chiropractor and he was unable to fix the problem for me. Dr. Handy tried different solutions to fix my problem and it has helped a lot. Recently, I told him about some discomfort in my lower back (pressure and tightness) which doesn't seem to go away with stretching and exercise. A lot of associates at the pharma company I work at see Dr. Handy and referred me to him. I am so happy I went to see him! I've been to quite a few chiropractors in the 25 almost 26 years I've been on this earth (I used to dance so my body is consistantly whacked..on top of the fact that I tense up when I stress out and I raise my shoulders to my ears practically). I never believed chiropractors could help you out when you had a bad back. Dr. Handy proved me wrong. He is thorough in his first examination of you with x-rays and all his questions to you to get to the root of the problem. He isn't what I expected a chiropractor to be; to just keep you coming back. I have been going to Dr. Handy since 2005. I recently had an ankle injury that I have been seeing a frew dr's for. Nobody was treating me and they kept telling me to come back and didn't know how to deal with my ankle. I casually brought the issue up to Dr. Handy and he told me about his laser treatments that he does in his clinic. I trust him as a chiropractor so I said okay for the treatment. At first, I didn't notice any results. I purchased a total of 6 treatments which makes the visits cheaper. By the 6th treatment, I was still feeling paid. he did some adjustments to my ankle too. Last week was the last time I saw him. Today I feel very little pain. I haven't been running because he advised I let my ankle heal. Dr. Handy is a great doctor who loves to help people.
