Tree Lion was great! Sven was very communicative and provided a very thorough estimate. Sven and…read moreJake did our work over two full days. They advised us on the removal of a very large Black Birch tree on our property that was developing a very deep pit at its base that was holding water. There was a fear of it falling on the house or cars. Additionally, they trimmed and pruned three very overgrown Honey Locusts and shaped and pruned our wonderful Red Maple. Lastly, they shaped a Mulberry tree and removed a Pine that had grown inside the Mulberry. It was a very big job. Sven and Jake were pleasant, amenable, and professional. They cleaned the spaces as much as possoble. I strongly endorse Tree Lion Tree Services!

We first contacted Tree Lion through Yelp after a tree fell and affected multiple neighboring…read moreproperties. Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.

I would recommend saving your $75 "consultation" fee and just work with your landscaper or whoever…read moreis going to actually do the work. Keystone doesn't do the work just consultation then you have to work with your landscaper that basically tells you the same thing (I wasn't deceived on this just an fyi) . They came out just looked at the ground said it's too wet didn't actually test it or dig any soil out....my landscaper came out a few days later did a thorough test and determined a different solution. I wasn't going to review as not really on them as they did their " consultation" but when I tried to just discuss this with a lady when I called them back she was almost comical rude in response, wild...

BUT, when I called (spoke to Lynn) and expressed my disappointment, I did not get an argument or a disinterested response. I was surprised and delighted when Lynn told me they would come out again and wanted me to be happy with the work. They have been in business for 50 years, it is a family business and they care about their customers. Imagine that in this day and age! Lynn said the arborist would call me that afternoon, and sure enough he called. Herb came to the house on Saturday morning, explained why some of what I wanted done would not be good for the tree, and said he would be back during the week to do some additional trimming. As he said, you can always cut more but you can't put it back together if you cut too much. I am very happy that I picked Keystone for my tree work and I plan to use them for years to come. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs the services of an arborist!
