After no updates for 2 hours, I texted asking if he will still be making it out. Mind you, this is road side assistance in Michigan winter weather. I see that he read the text, and get a message from State Farm saying that ZAD Towing will no longer be coming out for assistance. I then got a text from ZAD claiming State Farm removed the job from their list. If you need someone reliable, go elsewhere.

George and I agreed on a price and arranged a pick up time. After agreeing on the contract John calls back and tells me he is charging a dry run fee of $150 because he went to pick up the vehicle and it was not payed for. Are you kidding me? Shouldn't a driver, "who has years of experience" as they say, know to call the pick up location before driving out to pick up the vehicle, to call the customer and tell them there are more fees, to at least stick around at the pick up location and work with the customer knowing that this business always has many types of situations. The driver instead leaves immediately, calls no one and decides to cheat extra money from his customer. The worst part is I decided to pay the dry run fee and call it even, but then John disclosed he will now charge more money for each hour he waits around. What! Unfair and scandalous way to treat a paying customer. Paying top dollar of 650$ to move a vehicle 35 miles and this is what happens.

All the other companies wanted 1.5x-2x the cash price I was quoted and paid. They were on time, and not only beat me to the drop off location under 2 miles away, the car was already off the back of their truck and exactly where i'd asked him to leave it far up the driveway. I was impressed with the maneuverability the driver had with that big truck and my car on the back. Thank you both again, and you're who I'll be calling first if I need help in the future!
