You can buy nails and screws buy the pound! There's a working bottle coke machine from the 1950's. And you are surrounded by high-end tools and other hardware needs. They also carry gardening products and chemicals. The store has somehow managed to maintain the original Victorian shelving, floors, interior and exterior brick facade. We talked with one of the owners that has owned the store for about five years. She has decorated the store with antique and vintage hardware items. She told us that people bring her stuff to display in the store. In terms of products, there were a lot of Dewalt tools, Case knifes, Milwaukee tools and Porter Cable. I found a wall of canning supplies and kitchen ware that would be used on a farm. This store plays a vital roll to the nearby community. I recommend and I'll return.

I know I left a bad review (11/12/2017) before because I was brow beaten into something I just didn't want which I still hate that riding mower to this day and refuse to use it. At the time I had my sights set on a smaller mower with a 30" cut and that is when that women took me over to this Craftsman lawn tractor which was too big for my yard and I wouldn't be able to run it long enough to properly charge the battery in it. Other stores are making an effort to make the shopping experience safe for everyone, and it does not seem like Home Depot is doing enough. We did also have difficulty getting to a few of the items we needed. The boards we were trying to sort through were very warped and actually frozen together, which made it a little difficult and more time-consuming to get what we needed. Employees were helpful and willing to retrieve the next set of boards for us. The staff is always very kind and we can generally find everything we need here. My only real issue is not adhering to COVID precautions -- hopefully they can make a change and create a safe place to shop!

It is awfully convenient to have this size of store in little ole Pendleton...smaller than a big box but large enough to carry whatever your home improvement needs are. Today I was costing fertilizer and the price was just slightly higher than Home Depot. Good enough for me. There isn't a ton of staff there but the place is never too busy either.

They do everything from keys (including "digital chip" key clones) to vast amounts of nuts and bolts, SAE and metric, tools, supplies, home/industrial hardware. They are not Grainger or Lee's. They are not Lowes or Menards. Their prices are sometimes high, but they don't sell cheap gear. I wished they'd sell lumber and plants, but maybe it's better that they don't. They get five stars for being the best HARDWARE store in the area. You don't have to buy a huge blister pack to get just one or two of an item. Their clerks know what they have, and it's a good idea to ask them. They sometimes have better alternatives in mind, and their selection is vast for the size store they operate; they can save you a lot of time, unlike the big box stores, where there are no real specialists except the Big Item sales people. I remember when Lowe's first came on the scene they tried to outdo Home Depot and did very well for years in my book. From the staff always asking if they can help you find something (and they still do for the most part), to sealing up their concrete floors and making the store more clean they seem to always one up their competition. Today I think they still do very well keeping their store clean, keeping items in stock and delivering appliances in a timely fashion. HD tends to court the contractor who buy in bulk while Lowe's goes after the DIYer. I know Wall Street doesn't like this but I do. Living in the west, Ace Hardware stores were twice the size they are here with many stand alone buildings so naturally the inventory was vast. Not so good here in the Midwest with older stores and smaller shopping center footprints type stores. This is where Lowe's excels by having pretty much everything you need. I have said it before and I'll say it again I am not a fan of buying merchandise online. I need to see it, touch it, try it on, etc. before I buy and I want the convenience of walking in and walking out with my item; not waiting for delivery. A big box store such as Lowe's will beat out the online competition every day with in stock items and immediate availability.
