Can I give a 5+ star rating? For the last 10 years I have been an on and off customer when it comes to Jamie rose. The service was usually basic, nothing special. But I want to send a special thank you to the amazing Ashley. My son was VERY apprehensive about wearing contacts even though he really wanted them. Though workers at Jamie rose and even the doctor said he was too young for them, Ashley was our miracle worker! One worker (name I didn't get) stated with him, but she was no help. Then out of no where, Ashley saw him struggling from a far and immediately jumped in to save the day! She spoke the person we stated with and offered to take over. Ashley sat with him patiently for an hour and guided him through the process. He was so frustrated and was ready to give up, but she didn't let him. She laughed and joked with him to make him feel comfortable. Never once left his side. He started without being able to touch his eyes without immediately blinking, but now, he's a pro!! And it's all thanks to Ashley for jumping in! To top it all off, she even went out of her way to call him 2 days after just to check up on him to make sure he was doing well with them and offered further services if he had any questions or needed help! Ashley, you have made my a forever loyal customer. My daughter wants to start wearing contacts before the next school year and I will only agree if Ashley is able to do her training! read more

Jamie Rose, I came here this week with the highest of hopes... All my coworkers come here.. I was not disappointed in the service I received but I was extremely disturbed and bothered at the way one of your employees treated 2 other employees. Not only was this employee Monique loud and obnoxious, but I saw how she treated and embarrassed her 2 coworkers. I don't find this right one bit! You could see the pure embarrassment as she pretty much yelled at this other worker that was there.. IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE!! She butted into her conversation with a patient out of no where! I was completely mind blown. The upset employee walked to the back clearly upset, while Monique went to sit her her desk and proceed to joke and be loud with the coworker she sat next to. And they talked about the 2 employees right in front of me! Trying to whisper but we're unsuccessful. They were loud enough for myself and my husband to hear. I don't find that in any shape or form professional. I felt terrible for the 2 employees. In a neighborhood that is so family oriented, I'm shocked to see that this was allowed. As a mother and an owner of a my own business, I wish to see things like this stopped. I know she wants to make her sales, but you don't do it by pushing others around. No one should be embarrassed and put in that position at work! read more

I live right in the neighborhood and walked in once looking for glasses and stormed out because of a girl there with a smart mouth which I called a bitch in front of everyone. I said I would never go back until 6 months ago because they now have a eye doctor there. I get an exam everything seems great I choose Nike frames, one lens pops out the first day. They tell me the nut hole was stripped & they will fix them for free after a month of having these reading glasses one side arm becomes lose so I bring them back and the Jerk tells me I had to sit on my Glasses, I tell him I have not sat on them dropped them or stepped on them, he disagrees and says after bickering with me for five minutes he will fix them no charge DOH why bicker with me then. 2 month ago while snow blowing a lens pops out and I can't find it so I placed the Glasses on my frig and and went to Rite-Aid for a $10 pair of reading glasses which I've had now for 4 Months with not one problem. Jamie Rose Eyewear you should be embarrassed of your crappy business, attitude & 1 star ratings on Yelp. P.S. I will go elsewhere hopefully they can fix your shitty glasses. read more

I was so happy that I chose Jamie Rose to purchase my eyeglasses. Everyone in the store was so personable and shared their professional knowledge with me. EVIE was great! I was in the store for so long and she helped me make the best choices. I felt lost looking for a frame on my own - there were so many choices. Once Evie saw what I liked she jumped in and made recommendations that suited my face. I did not feel like she was pushing anything on me. She really helped and made me feel less overwhelmed. I needed 3 pairs which made it harder for me to choose - can you imagine! I was lost, between the vouchers and the extras. She got me through, even asked Dr. Shimonov to come out and explain the difference between the reading and computer lenses, which he gladly did for me. With their help I know I made the right choices. They explained everything to me. I left the store feeling really happy and said to them that it was so worth my trip from Long Island. This one star rating has nothing to do with anyone but the RECEPTIONIST ALONE. I'mhonestly disgusted with her attitude. This isn't the first time either. About 3 weeks ago, it was the same. Not only did she storm off cursing up a storm to the bathroom, her attitude towards customers is a disgrace. Even the way she speaks to her fellow coworkers is with a snappy ghetto attitude. I'm sorry, but this is not the neighborhood for such attitude. This is a family oriented neighborhood. I love the girls who work here especially Ashley and Eve. It's because of them that I keep coming back. Jamie rose, if you continue to condone the attitude of this receptionist, you will lose so much business. In my initial review, I neglected to mention one of the newer employees at Jamie Rose, Evie. Evie is my go-to person when Bianca is unavailable. She is energetic, always smiling and very helpful. Along with Bianca & Jamie, I value her opinion on frames and lens colors (I tend to go a little nuts). Together, they are the "Dream Team" where I'm concerned. Cannot thank them enough for their patience and excellent customer service and friendliness. It goes a long way in making customers feel comfortable and their support is invaluable in helping you make the right choices for frames and lenses. This was our first visit to Jamie Rose. We arrived and we're greeted right away. I was assisted in filling out any necessary paperwork and all of my questions were answered. We were seen right on time and the doctor was very thorough when checking my daughters eyes. We were then assisted in picking out her first pair of frames. The woman helping listened to what my daughter wanted and helped us find the perfect pair. She also explained what was covered by my insurance and what would be extra so I was fully aware before we chose! Best of all, the whole process was quick and hassle free. The staff are very professional and courteous. Plus, they give you personal attention. You can get an eye exam and don't have to wait long for an appointment. Jamie, the owner, is always friendly and personable. Annie gave me immediate service as soon as I walked in. Also, even though they were very busy, Evie and Bianca helped me to pick out new frames. And when I asked if they could repair my granddaughter's glasses, they had them ready in an hour at no charge. I've been using them for years and have always had a pleasant experience. Great place, nice selection of frames. I've been a walk-in, and I've had appointments, both cases I was treated in a timely manner by very professional staff. Cristina helped me pick out my first pair of [very stylish!] reading glasses a year ago, and last week, Bianca spent a lot of time helping me pick out a new pair with different features that met my changing needs. Both times, I was treated in a friendly manner. We recently visited Jamie Rose Eyewear. We were helped by Evie. She was amazing, first she helped my autistic son. She was so kind, sweet helpful and knowledgeable. She made him feel comfortable and relaxed, which is sometimes hard for autistic people feel. Then I brought my 11yr. old son to have an eye exam and again Evie was there to help us. Dr. Shimonov was also very helpful. Jaime and his staff were great. I was there to get glasses for myself and my daughter and they were very patience and helpful with all aspects of the process. The girls were great while trying to find a pair of glasses for my daughter that she loved and would fit her. They knew exactly what would work and she is so happy. Had a great experience overall. Very easy to make an appointment. When I got there Evie took care of me right away. I rarely wear glasses (always contacts) and I haven't bought a new pair of glasses in 10+ years, so I was overwhelmed by the tons of nice options they had. Just purchased my first pair of glasses here and it was fast and easy and fun thanks to Evie she was genuine and honest and walked me through the entire process of picking the right pair of glasses! Quality comes at a price, so I dont mind the cost as much as some other reviewers seem to.
