Jamy Motors was referred to me by a family friend, the owner is also the mechanic. He is fluent in Taiwanese, Mandarin, and English. We had a 2010 BMW E70 X5 coolant leak in Los Angeles and we towed it to Jamy Motors, the owner diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, and then replaced it for us during New Years week. He also saved the broken coolant pipe to show us where the issue. The shop is very clean and organized, similar to a dealership shop. My whole family has been getting our cars serviced here for years. The service is timely and reliable, and the staff are pretty upfront about letting you know whether something is fixable, about different solutions, etc. For all the stereotypes about dishonest mechanics, that certainly does not apply here. The prices are also very fair. Also, personally, I think they run a very tight ship here - I like how they also put some effort into maintaining a better-than-average facility - with flowers and plants, decent cleanliness, and organization. (Without being overly fancy.) I think that shows a level of discipline and care that they take in their own business. The staff seems to work very well as a team, both at the desk and in the shop. Poor communication, my car has been there 2 months, we only got updates when we would call, until week 7, they finally called with an update. Made recommendations without being pushy or judgmental. Appreciate his expertise on what can be done and what can wait a bit before replacing, in my case the transmission mount and spark plug (recommended to replace by dealer). I am saving hundreds of dollars since I switched from car dealers to here. Very honest and no pressure.

I usually take my car here for repairs because it's "State Farm certified". I've only been in accidents that caused bodily damage to the vehicle (at least from what Jammy inspectors reports). The car came out like new each time. So 2019 was a series of bad luck. I got hit 3 times by 3 different drivers while my accidents were being "investigated" by the other insurance companies. I took my car to Jamy again and again to get reassessed. Randy helped with the paperwork while I waited. He didn't have to because Jesse was supposedly my State Farm guy but Randy was very friendly and knowledgeable so he helped me because Jesse had 2 other clients ahead of me. While I was waiting, Ray came over to make small talk and keep me company. He also helped Randy look over the paperwork to help get me on my way faster. When I finally got to Jesse, everything went smoothly. Jesse took a look at my vehicle, took it in and told me it'll take approximately 14 days. Everything seemed to run smoothly. However, there were a few hiccups, for one, the insurance is under my name plus my father's name because I've been with State Farm since I learned to drive. I gave them my name and number, but regardless they call my father who knows nothing about what they are talking about. They text him regularly to let him know they are working on the car, but I was not notified. I called them to let them know to call/text me, not my father. However, it's now day 11; and they are still calling and texting him. Plus he's a limited English speaker, so much is being lost in translation. Nevertheless, I'm giving them 4 stars because they did a great job. And when I came back with what looked like the bumper had fallen off from one of the screws, they fixed it no problem. And this time, they remembered to call me, not my father. Yay!!! read more

I've been coming to Jamy's Auto ever since I bought my first car, but just recently decided to write a review. My whole family has been coming to Jamy Motors, and every single time, we have received exemplary service. This time, I got rear-ended on Tuesday and dropped my car off the next day. I usually work with Ray and Jeff, but since this time it was an insurance issue, they introduced me to Dara. Dara was excellent and was the consummate professional. He walked me through what probably had happened to my car when I got rear-ended, what parts they would need to get, and about how long it would take to get everything fixed. Afterwards, Dara scheduled a pickup with the local car rental place and they picked me up within 5 minutes. He updated me via text and email afterwards with a estimated completion date, when the car was almost done, and when the car was ready for pickup. When I came in to pick up the car, Dara went over the work they had done to car, and when I saw the car, I could barely believe that I had been rear ended. I dropped my car off on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday; the work, the efficiency, and the communication/transparency from Jamy Motors were all top notch. I highly recommend Jamy Motors to everyone that asks for a local auto shop, and after the service and work that they did for my car, will vehemently continue to do so. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED!! QUALITY & CARE CHANGED DRAMATICALLY!! This has been my go to for every little scratch in my car even from market baskets. Latest experience was not good at all. First they had my car for over 7 weeks and original agreement was 3 weeks. Every week was still waiting in parts , I was patient because I wanted the job done right. Picked up the car noticed paint job was orange peeled and not blended. Within 2 months tore dwelling clips fell off , rearview interior mirror had a water stain which wasn't there , plate cover fell off . Finger prints all over headliner still there and exterior windshield molding lifting . Took it back only to get a generic rear view mirror and plate cover.not original Toyota RAV4 . Disappointed never expected that in 20 years of service for me and everyone recommended!! read more

I was hit on Alhambra Road on February 22, 2022 and with the help of my insurance company State Farm my car was towed to Jamy Motors who I had choose due to Honda and State Farm Certified. During the time that Jamy Motors had my car I was kept informed of the progress of repairs and when it would be done. Jeff is a pleasure to work with. He recommends only the necessary work and is trustworthy. He gives you reasonable estimates and get the work done promptly. Their oil change price is not the lowest but they are attentive details and the advice they give is valuable. They charge $27+ for oil change and $50 for transmission fluid change. I also replace my tail light housing at Jamy's who charged very reasonable price for it. There are two waiting rooms, one of which has an office desk with Ethernet cable to hook up your laptop too. No wifi though. Overall this is an auto service/ body shop you can count on. read more

These people are jokers, they have work with lots of insurance company, and when your insurance company asked you to take the car there for the estimate, DON'T!, I have an accident and do as the Statefarm said to take it there for the estimate, they just look at it and then print out a check for $1750.00 (from the insurance company?!?!?). And said that's what the cost to fixed the car. Did not have details of what was being fix. I refused the check and took the car to the Deal's Authorized body shop and the repair bill come to $5500.00, And I've found out that JAMY is using all used auto part and did not do the estimate properly. They are working for the insurance company, not a reliable third party accessor. Anyway, they will never get my business wether it's Insurance or just maintanence. Bad attitude and scammer. Be careful for the servicer "Randy Robertson". He is a racist and a bad servicer. After me insurance tell me to go there, I don't receive any service. After I done my estimate, "Randy" said he will call me, but no phone call until I called him. When I put my car in the shop, he said he will call me about the time when I can pick up my vehicle. No phone call! I called him he said I could pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday, but when "I"called on Wednesday, he said I need to go on Friday. I asked him why, and he keep giving me excuses, and "Forward" my phone to other people who said Chinese and tell the person he can't communicate with me! He make excuses to the problems he made, and try to brush me off!! He don't want to communicate with his customers, and just try to get rid of his customers when he made mistakes!! They were told to take their car, no tires for a month and demanded monies above what their deductible was. In addition, they were told that their tire was used prior to the accident and would be replaced with a used tire...Huh????
