They have water bottles and hot tea for you while you wait or for after your session. I checked in at the front and was immediately taken back to a massage room. The room is very nice and clean with relaxing music playing in the background as well as nature sounds of water. The lights are dim to your level of comfort. You can remove as much or as little clothing as you like. I laid down on the comfortable table and waited for my masseuse. You can choose a male or female masseuse when you make your appointment. Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. It was so relaxing and therapeutic. I really liked my experience with Laura. She helped my back feel better which is a miracle. I will definitely be coming back here again for more services. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here. My gift card had somehow shrunk 45%! Apparently, it was charged a fee back in January. Definitely something I wish I had known about. The receptionist was emphatic and offered a $10 credit. I chose the 60-minute deep tissue massage with extra attention to my back, neck, and shoulders. My massage therapist, Gib, was absolutely amazing. Bless her hands because she really got to work on all the tension and knots in my upper back that I didn't even realize I had. There were even moments when we both laughed because the relief felt so good I'd let out an involuntary grunt. It was intense in the best possible way. The hour flew by, and I honestly wished I had booked a 90-minute or even 2-hour session. Now I know I'll need to plan ahead next time. My daughter was unaware of that and did not use the gift card "in time" I am more than aware of legal codes as I will be taking legal action against them. California Civil Code 1749.5 states that it is unlawful for any person or entity to sell a gift certificate to a purchaser that contains any of the following: (1) An expiration date. Having an expiration date on the card goes against this law and I will be filing a complaint with the California consumer protection agency against this business. I called to let them know about this and they claimed they could not survive in business if they honored the gift card. How is that possible if I pre-paid for a massage, did not get the service, and now they have my money? How can they run a business without knowing basic law concerning businesses? I will never return here but will be getting my money back one way or another. Attached are their exact text messages to me after our phone call.
