Ok - this time it went MUCH better. I had a masseuse whose name I think was Kim? No awkward pauses where I felt like I was a table or palms over my eyes... Her pressure was perfect, I upgraded to some hot stones and they were the perfect temperature. The only thing that I think could have been improved upon was one side of my back got more attention than the other, but for all I know it's because that side felt like it needed more work - so I'm not going to dock points for something like that when the whole service was exactly what I wanted out of a massage. Next time I think I'll spring for a longer one though - 60 minutes wasn't quite enough, I wasn't ready to go back to the real world! Wife booked Alex. Ming was very skilled and applied the right amount of pressure in the correct areas. Never once said I feel like I was being overworked. I asked him to target my upper traps, and boy did he. I got kneaded like a piece of dough and left feeling super loose. I wouldn't exactly call it relaxing, but getting knots out of sore muscles never really is. Alex was also quite skilled, I think he had gentler hand for the wife which was good. She also described being kneaded like a piece of focaccia and pressed on a griddle like a smash burger in the best possible way. Got a couples massage today & it was fantastic! The two ladies that did our massages were so friendly & had great technique. The spa was lovely. They offer beverages in the waiting area but we didn't partake. We did use their restrooms though. One had a shower in it. We weren't given the option to use the shower afterward. Maybe that's with a specific treatment? That was okay though. Overall the restrooms were very clean. The room we were in was at the very front of the spa so I was a little worried about noise bothering us and while I did hear a few people go in & out the front door, the noise level wasn't terrible. I also appreciated seeing a very large digital clock in the room. I hate when I get a massage somewhere & I don't know when they start or end (because I take my watch off or put my phone away before the massage). I know that at one place in Palo Alto I wasn't given the full 60 min. from looking at my watch after the lady was done with me, so seeing that clock was reassuring. This place is fantastic! Booked massages for both my mom and I through their website. They allow you to do a group of 2-6 guests! You can also choose the gender of the person massaging you as well as specific person. I booked different massages for us. * My massage: 60 minute Swedish massage with added hot stones. The receptionist walks you to your room and instructs you to take your clothes off leaving underwear on. My masseuse started off with asking where I want the most attention. She starts off with adjusting the blanket over and reveals the back while tucking it into your underwear. She then applies some lotion/oil and then gets in with the massage. This was my first time getting a Swedish massage and it felt like it was super long strokes and paused pressure. After doing the back she does the legs and ask me to flip over. The added hot stones felt really nice so I do recommend adding that to elevate your experience. They constantly replace the hot stones it seems after heating them up and then using them. The only complains I had about my experience is that my masseuse was not completely thorough with wiping off the lotion/oil she applied on my body. It felt super quick and I almost wanted to ask if I could take a hot towel and wipe myself off. Also my masseuse kept giving long sighs and it felt like she did not want to be there which kind of made the experience not so great . * Mother's massage: 60 minute hot stone with added upgrade to deep tissue. My mother loved her experience and said her masseuse did a great job and was very thorough. We got conjoining rooms and in between there is no door so we could see each other. The inside of the rooms were nice and dark. Nothing too special. I recommend trying this place. Our total came out to be around 290 without tip yet. read more

Been here a couple times and the service is always really good. The process to book is super simple and easy. You can call them and see what their availability looks like and they will work with you on getting the date set. There is a decent parking lot that is shared with other restaurants and store but not difficult to find. The lady who gave me my massage was very attentive and listened to areas to avoid as well as focus points. I like that they actually listen and are actually trying their best to make sure your massage is of service! I had a great experience with Grace. My appointment was on a Sunday morning for a 90 minutes deep tissue massage. I got there about 5 minutes early. There's easy parking in the lot. When I walked in, I was immediately checked in by the front desk reception and was taken into my room. I settled in and laid face down on the massage bed until my appointment time, and Grace knocked and then came in. She asked me about what I wanted her to focus on, as well as my preference for pressure. She checked with my periodically throughout the massage that the pressure was okay. I work out a lot, and sometimes I forget just how beneficial massages really are--until I get one like this. I asked for a deep tissue massage because I carry a ton of knots in my traps and upper back. I like a LOT of pressure--borderline painful--because I know that's what my body needs, and both therapists absolutely delivered. The first therapist I saw did an incredible job working through my traps and upper back and really opening up my shoulders. I walked out feeling like a completely new person. The pressure was intense (to the point where I thought I might have to tap out), but honestly, it was exactly what I needed after not getting a massage for over a year. I'd also been dealing with lower back pain that felt similar to sciatica, and the pressure-point holds and deep work made a huge difference. Even the foot massage was next-level--he released knots I didn't even know existed. The second time I came in, I worked with Alex, and he was just as amazing. Different technique, same level of skill and effectiveness. I'll be honest--calf massages are my least favorite because they're so painful--but Alex worked through them so well and got rid of knots I didn't even realize I had. Painful, yes--but incredibly worth it. Both therapists had their own unique approaches, but they were equally effective, and I was not disappointed either time. If you lift, train hard, or hold a lot of tension, this place (and these therapists) are absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back. read more

I went to take myself out for a birthday massage and I wish I hadn't. I've been here once before a year ago and had such an amazing experience, so I decided to treat myself again. I had the massage with hailey who did techniques that were not just relaxing but relieved my muscles. She wasn't available. The only available masseuse at the time was Daniel. I figured that since hailey was so good, her co worker should be similar. I was wrong. I used the groupon that was for a swedish massage that involved different techniques as said on the groupon, but his style was very much deep tissue and even the receptionist agreed, "yeah he's a bit more rough and his style is more deep tissue." Why didn't anyone tell me this before hand?! I hate deep tissue! I had to ask him to go softer on me 3x. While he was working my foot, it hurt so much that my foot automatically kicked out in pain. The entire time was so uncomfortable for me. I was feeling really hot from my body clenching to brace from the pain and the only time I was able to relax was when he wiping oil away from my body or not touching me. Also, he did a really painful neck technique where he was squeezing his fingers into the spine of my neck. I was able to hear my neck bones moving! It hurt sooo much that it was almost concerning, like I can potentially receive permanent damage from it. Please don't do this on your clients! Oddly enough, I left with so much oil left in the base of my hair and noticed after leaving right away that my lower back really hurt. I was hoping it'd go away. It's been 4 days and although most of the pain is gone, I can still feel the discomfort when I lean forward and backwards. TBH, I felt like I paid for someone to give me an hour of pain. I tried telling the receptionist nicely about it afterwards and after she confirmed he's more rough, she just said, "sorry we'll give you someone else next time." read more
