I have been getting my hair done at Janelle Alexis Salon for 4 years. Both of my daughters go to her, too! We all get highlights, haircuts, blow drys. I have gone to many other salons in Houston and no one has gotten my color as beautiful as Janelle has. She has so much knowledge and is always educating herself and her staff. She has an attention to detail that you just don't find very often. Janelle just knows how to bring out the best in your hair! She invests in her clients and will take the time to do whatever it takes to repair damage from a previous hairdresser or get you on a routine with products etc that will help maintain fabulous hair. She has transformed one of my daughter's hair from a damaged mess to beautiful and healthy hair. We have all been so happy with everything she has done. We recently tried extensions in my oldest daughter's hair to give volume and some length. VERY happy with how they look and Janelle is just one of the best with extensions. Do not go anywhere else because she is a master at making them look so unbelievably real. She uses the best products and is very knowledgable - in fact, she is a national instructor. We have also used a few of the other stylists in the salon and have been very happy with their work, too! Janelle has God's hands, she brings life to everything she touches. I have fine curly hair that's been straightened daily for around 15 years, which horses have mistaken my hair for hay. I wash my hair, blow dry it and yes people think I've been electrocuted. :-) Janelle performed a spray on keratin treatment and the results were phenomenal! Even without any type of styling my hair is shinny, healthy, smooth, and strong. I'm so excited and love this miracle keratin treatment. Janelle has also highlighted my hair and I must say that out of all the highlights I've had in my life, she is the best. The contrast of colors adds depth to my hair. Janelle does my 68 year old mother's hair and my 7 year old son's hair. They both refuse to let anyone other than Janelle come close to touching their heads. She is beautiful from the inside out and is the most talented in her field. She is always traveling and studying the most up to date cuts, treatments, eye lash extensions, and is a master of color. The customer service here is awesome! I requested an appointment online at 4am after seeing the incredible reviews. Janelle reaches out shortly after and they got me in at 5pm the same day. I sent a photo of myself and two ideas of what I was hoping they could do for me and they completely exceeded my expectations. The salon is clean, modern and beautiful! The atmosphere is welcoming and the vibe is so upbeat and cheerful. I felt right at home and not at all like a first time client. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the team, including Janelle herself, excitedly commenting on my transformation after 8pm. It was in the stars for me to see Rhonda. She is amazing, as sweet as can be and incredibly talented! A total expert in her field who welcomed my thoughts and offered her wisdom then effortlessly created the most beautiful hairstyle and color I've ever had! We chatted about a Brazilian blowout and after she explained it and described it to me, I had to have it! Janelle Alexis "made me up" on my wedding day a couple weeks ago. She really made me look and feel beautiful. I hardly ever use makeup, I wanted a natural look that wouldn't make me look too different. She absolutely nailed it, I felt enhanced. I had gone for a makeup trial to her salon after extensive search online and on magazines, Janelle just seemed to be the right one, I wasn't mistaken. She listened to me and the results surpassed my expectations. Every guest told me how beautiful I looked and that they loved my makeup because it looked fabulous and "not much" or "not busy" or "natural". I have been going to Janelle for years and have been a loyal customer ever since we met 6 years ago. She has highlighted my hair more times than I can count (always amazing, she really is a color genius), shes given me several new and exciting cuts over the years, done chemical hair straightening treatments, deep conditioning treatments and pretty much anything else you can think of. I won't let anyone else near my head with a pair of scissors (when I say just a trim...she totally understands that I mean JUST a trim!...never have to worry about going in with long hair and leaving with a bob :)...(That has happened to me before at other salons!) I will hardly ever let anyone else touch my hair and Janelle never disappoints. When I first started going to her my hair was fried and completely broken and now it is extremely long and healthy (Thanks Janelle !) Seriously the best person that's ever touched my hair. The venue is super cool, and I love love love coming over to have my hair done. Always exactly what I wanted, and usually even better! I have a few different ethnicities fighting in my hair, and some people are surprised that she doses such an amazing job with it. She's suggested a lot of things that I didn't even know existed but now my hair is the best around! I had my makeup and hair done for some professional pictures I took, and it turned out super amazing and fantastic and all of my friends loved it a bunch! She saved my haiir!!! I was new to the area and as a stylisT myself it's hard to trust others with my hair. Not only is Janelle experienced and skilled, but she is fast and prompt!! I have been going to Janelle for the past 3 years even though I live 35 miles away. I would follow her anywhere in Houston. She understands exactly the look I am going for and delivers every time. A lot of hairdressers tend to over trim or over layer my hair, but she keeps the style very modern and clean but still looking fabulous. I have been going to Rhonda Pogue for 13 yrs plus and I would not use anyone else! She is amazing at what she does! My color and cut are always perfect and I get constant compliments and people asking who does my hair. I have send multiple referrals to her and all have been happy and continue to use her. The salon is nice but ultimately it is the stylist that makes a difference and I would not use anyone else! I went in to get tape in extensions for the first time and had an amazing experience. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and got me checked in really fast. My appointment was with Melissa and I am so happy with my extensions that she put in for me. I also got cut and color. Overall she did a great job!! It was my last appointment with Jessica. I have been seeing her for years and I saw Greg for years prior to my time with Jessica. Your salon has felt like home to me for a long time. I was a bit surprised when I completed my haircut and no one introduced me to someone who might be my new stylist given Jessica's upcoming departure, and that no one asked me when or if I planned to return for a next appointment.
