She is professional, caring and beyond generous. Throughout the years I have met her various clients while in the chair and they are all such wonderful warm people which I think speaks volumes on who Janelle is as a person. I am a natural brunette with straight hair and she makes me a gorgeous blonde and I am complimented on my hair CONSTANTLY. She keeps my hair healthy and long and I've been asked multiple times if I wear extensions. I honestly don't know how she can make me a blonde and have healthy thick hair at the same time. Janelle is absolutely amazing!!! I wanted to dye my hair back to my natural light/medium brown color after a couple years of black dye. I originally went to a different salon and left with hair darker than I even came in with and they told me another stylist wouldn't be able to get me to my goal either, instead I should just let my natural color grow out and keep cutting the black hair. In just one session with Janelle she was able to get me back to my exact goal color, even though she had such a tough canvas to work with. she gave me the most beautiful highlights as well that looked exactly like the ones i naturally get from the sun. i'm so beyond thrilled with my hair and i can't believe how talented Janelle is at color corrections. I don't color my hair often and the last couple of times I had, I didn't get the results I wanted and ended up disappointed. So when I made the decision to go blonde, I was on a mission to find the best colorist in LA who could make my blonde vision into a reality. I'm so happy I listened to all the other Yelp reviews because Janelle is a goddess with hair color! Right off the bat I felt super comfortable in my decision because she asked for images of my hair inspiration AND of my current hair color, so she could determine the best shade of blonde for my skin complexion and tone. Since we were dramatically lightening my hair, it took two sessions to achieve the blonde that I wanted. And they were both totally worth it because I am obsessed with my new color! She darkened my base to make the blonde really pop, then started using the balayage technique on the rest of my hair for the blonde. The results are gorgeous and, best of all, low-maintenance and natural-looking. In the back of my mind, I've always been terrified that I would look awful as a blonde, but the different shades of blonde Janelle used match my skin tone and complexion perfectly. I feel SO confident with my new blonde 'do! For the first few days I couldn't stop looking at my new hair in the mirror haha.
