The process went a lot smoother then I expected and wasn't as painful as I remember. After she was done waxing a strip she immediately put soothing gel on my skin to keep the irritation and pain down. Plus, she was extremely professional and did everything in about 30 minutes, which was impressive. I didn't feel as much pain as I was expecting, which is a good sign! Overall, probably one of the best, if not THE best waxing experiences I think I've ever had. I was in and out in 30 minutes, didn't feel terrible pain and felt like a million bucks when I was done. Plus, she gave me some good after care advice on soothing treatments and keeping my skin in good shape, versus shoving me out the door with a quick thank you. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Thank God for Janelle's!!!! I went here yesterday looking for someone to fix the disaster that was my hair from the day before at another salon & KIM turned out to be my guardian angel!!!! I was devastated, feeling nervous & not to confident. After showing her my hair she was very empathetic. It looked nothing like what I actually wanted per the picture. So before doing anything she explained exactly what she was going to do to repair the damage. I felt hopeful I may actually look human again. Once she was done I was ELATED. I found someone I could TRUST with my hair. Which is no easy feat. I can't express enough how grateful I am to Kim. I can face the world again. Bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kim Ann has cut and colored my hair twice now! First, from hair down to my butt to shoulder length and added blonde highlights. I was so nervous, I always had long hair and had never colored before. Kim Ann made me feel calm and made the process enjoyable and didn't give me too much blonde, just enough to introduce me to coloring my hair. I loved it! I loved it so much I wanted to go shorter and blonder. KimAnn got me in quickly to do another cut and color and gave me the cutest pixie/bob with beautiful blonde baylage and a cute shaved design at the base of my neck. This was my first experience at the salon, The owner suggested that I make my appointment with Kim Ann and I am so glad that I did. I have short hair and am constantly going to hairdressers that don't listen to what I want. She not only listened but did an excellent job in styling my hair. She also suggested that I get my roots touched up to blend in with my highlights. The color turned out beautiful! I am so glad that I took the chance and scheduled an appointment at Janelle's. The first visit I told them my hair goes darker than the shade so to please not put a dark dye on my roots. They also applied a glaze (I think that's what they called it) that would lighten my hair one tone in just a few areas. They said it wouldn't damage my hair. They ignored my knowledge of my own hair and dyed it too dark and it felt really dry and damaged once it dried They were nice enough to give me a conditioning treatment the next day to fix the dryness. I kept going back and on one occasion I went home with dye still in my hair because it wasn't properly rinsed. Stained my coat and had to jump in the shower to rinse it off. The last visit I asked my same stylist if we could go a bit lighter. She told me she would do 40% of the lighter tone. After my appointment I was horrified to see I had a very visible stained forehead and then noticed my roots were darker than the rest of my hair . I texted her the next morning and she said she would color over it with a lighter color. Huh? They told me initially that you can't do that, plus it's recommended you wait to color over color at least 2-4 weeks. So I wasn't feeling comfortable with doing that. Of course it was right before my birthday so I was pretty upset. I asked for a refund. The stylist was always very kind and professional which is why I kept going back despite all the incidents that were upsetting. The reason I am not going back and never recommending this place is because one of the owners was absolutely horrible when I talked to her on the phone. She displayed the opposite of serenity. Horrible customer service, lack of kindness, rude and didn't let me talk. Not to mention she didn't apologize once for dying my hair too dark. Instead she yelled at me for texting the stylist. And added that I wasn't charged enough for the services. Really? So I didn't pay enough for all the aggravation and mistakes? Being an owner it would be a good idea to be professional, kind, try to make up for the mistake and at the very least have some good manners and apologize for what happened. If you want a serene experience I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if something goes wrong. Which is when customer service really counts. If you don't mind careless mistakes, wrong hair color and unreturned calls, this place is for you!

I did cut it and then filed it exactly how I wanted it. He seemed p*ssed off! He is the one who asked me to do it! And I am simple. I was so confused through the entire visit. I have never had a nail appt like that before And I had a pic, a color, a shape, and a length that I was direct about, from the beginning. Simple design and nothing crazy. I will not return. I should have just left. Never again.

Waited about 20 minutes before anyone even spoke to us finally the work begins and I show the picture of what I want I asked twice are u sure u can do this yes yes she says while doing my nail this lady coughed and coughed and coughed all over my hands the entire time I was in the chair then left me sitting there 5 minutes so she could go use the bathroom comes back and continues to cough thank God I wore my mask anyway I pull out my pic and tell her my nails aren't looking like the pic so she said yes yes and comes and wipes this chrome on my nails I'm sitting there trying to trust the process but time is getting late and I had an appointment to get to so I'm telling her where is the glitter the shiny she puts more chrome at this point I don't have time to argue I have to leave and I have my niece so I can't say the things I wanted to say but my nails were definitely ugly af and I'm very upset about it and why does it look like I already need a fill in I literally had to go buy some polish to cover the ugly after I just paid 150 the customer service sucks 100% and the product and service we didn't leave til almost 6:30pm Please don't come on here talking about new owners and things u say that to everyone just take accountability for the poor service I spent my hard earned money for garbage

I asked for very short but my nails are all different lengths and shapes. Some are not filed smoothly and pinky looks like it wasn't cut at all. Place was clean and cute so it seemed inviting at first, but it's just not my vibe.

There was sanitizer available after signing in, but no one took my temperature. They had individual nail designs to choose from, social distancing was in place, and masks were mandatory.
