I'm extreeeeemely obsessively nitpicky about my nails. PERFECT SHAPING, PERFECT POLISH, ATTENTIVE SERVICE, GREAT PRICE (First time here on 6/29/18; See MiMi! I got a shellac mani & a polish change on my toes for $42. Based on what I've been paying at my normal salon that is GREAT! Mimi was my nail tech. She was a little slow, but she was very thorough and attentive to every detail. I hate nail salons that want to rush you in and out. She was patient with my services, and even my indecisiveness on a color. She also didn't get an attitude when I requested that she not drill on my nails. Lastly, she was focused on ME! Not chit chatting with other nail techs or customers. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to 1) speed of service 2) they charge extra if you want more than 2 polish colors and 3) I wanted designs and nobody was there that could do it. I'm moving to Rochester Hills in a cpl months and finding a suitable nail salon was TOP priority lol! read more

After having a poor experience at a nail salon on Crooks and travelling from afar. I was making my way home when I stumbled upon La Vie Nails & Spa. They took me insistently, since I was in need to get my nails done for my SIL's bridal shower and an upcoming bachelorette party. I did not catch anyone's name, but I wish I had. The lady who did my nails was super sweet, gentle, and did a wonderful job. I love my nails, and the color is amazing (shown in the provided photo). The conversation was flowing, the workers have amazing chemistry, and they are personal individuals, which makes the environment comfortable. The salon was beyond clean with a cozy feeling to make you feel relaxed. I have already recommended this salon to my sister, but I will most definitely come back. Manicure and Pedicure are fairly priced. Nice ladies that work there but definitely not the cleanest place. I don't think any of the tools were even sanitized. Everything that was used did not come out of a package or didn't appear that it came from an area where it had been disinfected. Won't be returning unless greater sanitation measures are used. State health department should really look into this place. read more

Great color selection but horrible application, sanitation, and ambiance. There's absolutely nothing luxurious about this salon which is bummer when their prices are the same as all the other really nice salons in the area. Missa never had me wash my hands after she buffed my nails which left some dust on them before she applied the gel polish. The gel lifted and my entire manicure peeled off after a week. They also didn't use liners in the tubs for pedicures which is a hugeeee turnoff and a no-no in my book. I wouldn't come back here again as there are much better options in the area read more

I came in for a manicure on my lunch break and was disappointed by the state of the salon. It's dirty, with dust all over the floors, plexiglass partitions, and counters. Nail tools were not opened fresh, and there was an odor of urine, kind of like a nursing home. It wasn't great. The tech used power tools on my cuticles after I specified I didn't want them. I've been to this nail salon a few times and had pretty good experiences BUT I was there a couple of days ago for a pedicure and the girl who did my toes did a horrible job. She completely rushed my whole pedicure and when my toes were dry there were bubbles in the polish (see picture), she only used one hot towel on both my of legs and she was rushing to get up and do one of her regular customer's nails. I was very disappointed and probably will not be coming back here again. And to make it worse, when I got home I looked down at my feet and there was polish on my skin and some of my toenails weren't filed correctly. This trip was a complete nightmare! read more

This is my favorite nail salon & spa. I'm never disappointed when I come in for my manicure and pedicure with shellac polish. The ladies are always so welcoming with their smiles and they acknowledge you when you walk in right away. Rather than some nail spas I've been too, I've waited for at least 5 minutes before someone approached me--and this is why I come here from now on. I recently had the best customer service from them. I came the day before Palm Sunday for a mani and pedi with shellac on my fingernails. Two days later my nails had lifted and when I went back they were all smiles and apologizing for the inconvenience. I I was actually hesitant to go back to get them fixed because I didn't want to be a bother but because mani and pedis with shellac is expensive & it was only two days later I figured I should. They made me feel okay and not embarrassed. A few days later a few other names lifted. I couldn't believe the bad luck I was having lol. The owner took all my polish off and they re did my shellac and I've had it on now for a week with no issues, even after going to my bootcamp classes. Very disappointed in the gel manicure it stated chipping off just two weeks after it was done. Also the critical removal was kinda rough and left my fingers ragged around the nail for days until the skin that was tore up pealed away. And the cost was about $10 more than I expected. read more

They do whatever you like even when your not happy they will make you happy. People if you think they are pricey then go to the cheaper salon. I know it's hard because of COVID and us customers want a true review cus sometimes we just need a good place. And this place isn't at the top of my list. I've been here twice now. I went in for a full set with shellac- they broke off the same week. The whole process was horrible. The second time I went for a pedicure with my friends and the lady who did mine and my friends took her time on my friends and did mine in less than 10 minutes. Price is very reasonable & comparable! Color selection is large and always looks clean. They sterilize all tools! Pedicure chairs are so comfortable! Made an appt for a bride-to-be & I on her wedding day and they surprised her with a nice hand wax-dip and took extra good care of her!! I walked in for my 11am appointment and the atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. No greeting, just everyone looking at you. Only two nail technicians and one doing her own nails, which meant I had to wait. There was rude comments, not professional at all. I'm glad I left before I got my nails done by them. I walked just as they opened, requested a mani/pedi. Was told to soak in water while another employee arrives (only one person working), meanwhile she takes the lady that walks in AFTER. After over a half hour of soaking in cool water I asked how much longer. The employee got up, said sorry and tossed me a towel to wipe my feet, insincerely apologizing. I do not recommend La Vie Nails. I had the dip powder done a few days ago, and 3 of my nails are chipping off. Dip is suppose to last 2-3 weeks. My manicure was completely rushed. I was not asked if I would like my nails cut or filed, was not asked what shape I would like, and was not given any sort of hand massage at all. I get my gel manicure there with Nina. Always a great service and the end result. A big thing for me is that I don't feel that someone is rushing with me to get to the next client. all these comments are lying to you... i decided to try this nail place because i saw good reviews but it's so unprofessional. the lady that did my nails was on her phone THE WHOLE TIME. i got acyrlics and when it came to cutting them down, she cut them too short. i told her right away that's not the length i want. her, still being on the phone, says to me "sorry i already glued them on i can't take them off" then i showed her a picture of the design i wanted 3 different times and she still didn't get it right. i also forgot to mention the fact that i made an appointment with them for 6:00 and they made me wait until 7:45. they took in their friend instead me, whom had no appointment. never coming back again. read more

This is the best salon I have ever been to! I have been going to Kathy for over 4 years and she's great!! She's patient, funny and does EXACTLY what you ask her to do. Her staff is so sweet and friendly, the salon is clean and always welcoming. I would recommend this salon to anyone! The prices are just right and the quality of work is amazing. The lady does a great job and is pretty meticulous about your nails. My only problem was that midway through my manicure, she had another customer walk in and she started talking with the other customer and paying more attention to her than my nails at times - but in the end the nails turned out to be good so I dont really care. read more

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Even when I forget to make an appointment or need a quick fix, they are always accommodating. They take their time (but not too slow) and do a great job. Wow I'm really glad that I stopped in for a quick pedicure. The new owners have totally updated the salon and the staff are super friendly. They offered me beverages and directed me to where I needed to go without yelling. I only came in for an emergency pedicure but wi'll definitely be coming here again. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the salon is extremely clean, and they use high quality polish and all natural oils and lotions, which smell amazing! I was going to a different salon, but after a bad experience, I went to La Vie and will never go anywhere else! My gel manicures always turn out great and last a very long time.
