Is been 8 months since I got a pedicure. I've been dying to go and this place was my go to whenever I'm in town. The owner changed the name to Jane's Nail Art when she bought the place last August. The salon looks different inside a well. More inviting and nice. I was able to get a pedicure without an appointment which was great. My manicurist, Jennifer, did a good job. My toenails and feet feel great. I think prices went up since I last visited this place. My pedicure costed $30 which was fine since she did a good job. Their manicure costs $15 which I think is a bit much. I'll have to think on that one. The place was clean. The staff were friendly. read more

This place was wonderful!! I am a bit shy, but the place was comfortable and calming. Definitely recommend the manicure and pedicure treatments. The woman that did my feet omg yes they look like feet again, and she really did her magic work on my feet and legs. The massage was amazing. Then to the woman that did my manicure omg thank you for the massage and being understanding of it being my first time. The people were friendly. Went here for a manicure today. I called in advance for an appointment for 2 people. I was seated right away upon arrival. I would rate the quality 4/5. I was a bit disappointed the technician didn't clean underneath my nails. I should have spoken up but I didn't. Luckily I got a color of polish that would cover it and was able them myself at home. I felt as though the technician took her time, she didn't rush but it's still a little sloppy. For $10 though - its worth it if you need it for an occasion! On a side note*- the salon was doing temperature checks, asking customers to fill out a covid form, and spraying down the salon chair/pedicure tubs after each person. read more

YOU NEED TO GET A SPA PEDICURE HERE. Cost is $50 to $55 depending on which one you get (green tea, milk and honey, or green tea honey). They give you extensive massage (I'm talking like a good half hour or more) and don't wear gloves (the experience isn't the same with gloves and you know it!). They also use hot stones + a very moisturizing and tension relieving mask + a heel softener. Every minute I was thinking in my head oh she's gotta be done now, but then she still kept going!! Plus I got a nice little back rub! I was utterly amazed by the value of this pedicure! Parking is kind of limited (not that many spots), but that's a small price to pay for such an amazing experience! From now on I will ALWAYS be going here for my pedicures. This is such an easy switch for me! read more

Zero stars!!! Left there bleeding!!! I want to start off my saying, I have a high tolerance for pain and understand mistakes do happen. It was my first time here so I went in with an open mind. I explained I wanted tips with uv gel nails (not acrylic) and gel polish. I was seated quickly and the tech began this torture session. She manually filed the side of my nails which is normal but she had angled the file so every pass was filing the skin on the side of each finger. We aren't talking one or two fingers, it was about 8 of my fingers. I explained she was hurting me and my fingers were getting sore. As she used the electric file she filed my left thumb nail all the way down to the skin under my nail...it was EXCRUCIATINGLY painful. The tech kept wiping the files and tips down with alcohol because of how much she made my fingers bleed. When she applied the uv gel, she wiped the excess onto her glove which then got all over my hands. I was literally peeling it off my skin. In the end my nails look good but not worth the $80 (before tip) or the pain. It's now 5 hours after I left and my nails are swollen and sore. I sincerely hope I do not get an infection from this place. I can assure you, I won't be back. read more

I'm a bit torn writing this review. The staff is great but here are a couple things I have to point out - I went to get a mani-pedi with my friend on Saturday. Made an appointment 2 hours prior and once we got there - we were seated immediately. (Loved this). We were seated to get our manicure first and staff requested we pay first (knowing we have a pedicure next) - I assumed since I was paying ahead - the lady doing my manicure was also going to be the one doing my pedicure - so as I paid, I gave her the tip at the same time. (My mistake). I could've done this manicure at home. My urge was mostly to just get a good thorough clean around the nails since I don't have patience for it. Afterwards, I was seated to get my pedicure done. The lady was an absolute sweetheart and did everything I asked As far as no massage. But please find the photos attached to see that the painting of my toe nails look like it's missing another coat and is also missing a part of the nail. It's obvious. I honestly believe I'd rather pay a bit more elsewhere than have to walk out with half ass service. read more

The first time I came here was great and I had no complaints. Today is my second time coming to this establishment. I made an appointment this time, as I knew I couldn't be the first person here like with my first visit. Any establishment that makes an appointment for a particular time should adhere to it. That means a block of time is reserved for the person who made the appointment. There is no valid reason why I had to wait about 40 minutes and still wasn't being serviced. My time is valuable as is others. I think it's bad business to make an appointment with a customer only to not honor the appointment and take the customer's time for granted. Needless to say, I'm a very unhappy customer. I now have to find time on another day to get a pedicure. read more

I thought the prices would be reasonable based on reviews but I walked out feeling I got way overcharged - $80 for gel tips and polish before tip. Nothing special - no extra nail art done. I probably should have gone elsewhere but I wasn't in the mood to run around and hoped that the work would be worth the price. The end result looked good, aside from the price my only complaint is that the woman was so rough with the emory board that 3 of my cuticles have small scabs from having been filed down to the bleed point. I sent my 10 year old daughter here for a GEL mani and pedi and smash was charged 73 dollars..no design..just one solid color (white) and she also tipped them $10 dollars...so a total of $83 dollars..I called them to ask why was my child charged so much for such a simple service and they told me that they actually gave her a 10 dollar discount...I come here all the time for a fill in and pedicure and my total is 80..I am extremely disappointed and they have lost me as a customer! I called numerous mail salons in higher end towns including this same town and they all said kids mani and pedi ranged from 40-50..this business should be ashamed of themselves! read more

This place continues to disappoint. I've tried giving them a chance and now I won't return. They say yes to keep you there then make you wait. They say just a few more minutes. I went here over the weekend for a new acrylic set put on. I asked for them coffin shape. I didn't want them too long. Not only were they Mis-shaped and extremely thick nails, I was charged 50$ when the board clearly said 35$ for an acrylic set. My friend made 2 pedicure appointments for 6:00 tonight. When we got there it was clear we wouldn't be taken care of on time. Around 6:20 when my friend told them we were going to leave soon they let us soak our feet and continue to wait. My pedicure was actually pretty good and I felt I got a lot for the $23. The reason for this poor rating is the rudeness of the owner/manager. They took us almost 30 minutes late and then pretty much kicked us out when we were drying. The shop closes 7:00 and if they had taken us on time we would have been done by then. By 7:11 the lights were being turned off and we were shooed out the door. My friend confronted the owner who just didn't care how she treated us. What poor customer service and a shame! At the very least one person could have stayed behind to give us an extra 5 minutes to dry. read more

I used to go to another salon in Rockaway Boro for over a year to get a gel manicure until one day, though I had an appointment, they were trying to do my nails and two other clients at the same time and used the electric nail sander to remove my gel polish instead of a soak. They ruined my nails which were really nice, always had great healthy nails. They were so think you could bend them back and forth, took almost a year to come back to normal. I have now been going to Nail Art for over a year and am extremely happy. Jean is amazing, my nails look fantastic, I receive lots of compliments on them. Their pedicures are about an hour and they are relaxing and meticulous. Very clean spa too where the other one was not. Now I see the difference, I will stick with Nail Art. There were two people doing nothing and after talking amongst themselves and with another guest for 5 minutes (after we had already picked a color) they rudely told us that we would have to wait a "long, long time". I let them know we didn't mind waiting but they still told us no. I've been in when it's been much more crowded and not been treated so rudely. This nail salon is amazing. Clean area and friendly staff. The pedicures for $20 are fabulous. They run both feet and put them on special little stands and use special cream to get the dead skin off. They also use hot stone and towels. The staff also uses hot liquid thing in a bag that smoothed out your heals. They always ask if the water is too hot or cold and if you don't want the towels. I have watched them and they sterilize I everything and have a great color collection. It's been recently updated and bathroom is spotless. This is worst salon I have ever been to. My mother and I were there for pedicures. We were long time customers so made appointments! My mother is elderly and really cannot sit for long periods of time. In the middle of my Mother's pedicure, the owner told the tech to stop my Mom's pedicure to help "a more important customer". Then my mother had to wait 30 minutes until another tech started her pedicure again. We were there for two (2) hours! My mother even told the owner "she was making a big mistake with a long time client". The owner could care less. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! WE WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!!!! read more

I never been in this salon before, but I love the restaurant next to it, so I decided to give it a shot. A Ecuadorean girl start doing my pedicure and she was amazing I have to said, she start talking to me and be really friendly, and it was great so far. I told her that I need it to go to the restroom and went I came back the owner an Asian lady decide to switch me with someone else without even ask me, just because she was been to friendly. I've been to this establishment twice and had 2 very different experiences. First time I went without an appointment in Xmas eve. It was very busy and I was told I would need to wait 30 min for a manicure. No big deal since I figured it would be busy. When I finally got the manicure, it was rushed and was not great. However I wanted to give the place another try. I went yesterday for a manicure and pedicure, and it was fantastic! Pedicure was excellent with a nice long leg/foot massage with hot stones. By far the best pedicures I have ever gotten. You get some much more for your money than any other place. They massage both your legs and your feet for so long, use hot stone, hot towels, scrub, and hot wax on your heels. Today was my first & last visit to this salon! I was referred here by my boss who said they're great, would never go anywhere else, etc. The pedicure was nice, not great, but polish job looks awful. The manicure was rushed, polish looks awful & bubbled in some spots. I've been to many places for nail services, this isn't one I'd recommend.
