This was my very first visit at this salon, and it was uncomfortable for a few reasons. I met a family member there for pedicures. We were catching up and having a normal and casual dialogue when the front desk gentleman came up to us (who I assume is the owner, I could be wrong) and asked us to take the volume down. I was confused and did not understand at first. Again, it was normal conversation, no laughing or giggling etc. We are grown women nearing our 50's. It was his own initiative to approach us, I did not see anyone complain to him, and there were only 3 people in the large salon when we showed up. Our pedicure chairs were not very close to each other so it was impossible to whisper and hear one another. Basically the rest of the appointment was awkward and silent and needless to say very uncomfortable. The nail technicians didn't even converse with one another. Not one word. I've been to various salons and have never felt tension like this. The pedicure also felt rushed and the polish was uneven but at that point I just wanted to wrap it up and be done. Another point to add is the pricing. More expensive than other salons and I was charged for a "gel soak off" when only 3 or 4 of my nails had minimal remaining gel which was NOT in fact soaked off- the nail tech used a rotary instrument to remove the little bit of remaining gel. Where oh where do I start on this place? Disclaimer: totally MY fault I even made the attempt to try this place. I am VERY VERY new to the area and decided to try a local place first with hopes it could be my go to nail salon. Oh boy! I was WRONG!! I have been getting SNS powder for 5+ years RELIGIOUSLY every 2-3 weeks so trust me I know what the process looks like. I went in and a man named Paul showed me a PATHETIC "list" of colors to choose from. I'm not even kidding it must have been 20 total. Ok... I choose pink. He SPENDS 15min looking for the shade of pink I chose to then turn around and say "sorry we don't have that" and proceeded to ripping off the nail sample from the "list". I should have walked out then. He finally proceeds to choosing his own shade of pink because clearly the ones I chose weren't available. Typically, SNS powder has a primer, then the color coating (2-3 coats) then a gel "top coat". So it takes 45min give or take. Paul decided to do my nails HIS way and ONLY use the "powder color"- no primer, no base, no top coat, nothing. When I say my nails are PAPER THIN- they are PAPER THIN!!! Update: 24 hours later- one nail has chipped!! $50 DOWN THE DRAIN!! Save yourself please ladies. read more

UPDATE: I contacted TD bank and they confirmed to me that they should not have been able to happen without my authorization or consent. He said "They are the merchant and cannot do that. They did not contact the bank or anything." So I heeded his advice, cancelled that card, and will just be getting a new one to be safe. === I went to this salon for the very first time on a Saturday Aug. 6th for gel fill ins, a regular pedi, and ended up getting a 15 min leg massage as well. When I got there at 9:10 for a 9:15 appointment I was told the employees were running late due to an accident so my appointment is delayed. There were others waiting as well. Things happen so no big deal I get it. They started my appointment about 10 mins late - again, no big deal. The woman who did my pedicure was fantastic and the leg massage was wonderful. There was a man who did my gel fill ins and he did a great job as well. Throughout he kept interrupting working with me to help another person receiving a pedicure. At this point I was getting frustrated but it is what it is. Then he went to help for over 10 mins and again I was a bit frustrated as now we were going on 10:45 and I had somewhere to be. At the end of my services, I was charged $50. I paid and tipped both the techs that worked on me and left. On Aug 8 the $50 charge processed. On august 10th a $58 charge was then processed. When I bought my statement to the salon to question it on August 12th, they informed me that on Saturday I was charged wrong and owed for the massage (still unclear but whatever) I was told by whom I assume is the manager that they "contacted the merchant" to charge me the $58 I owed. I'm extremely unclear as to what that meant and don't understand how they "accidentally" charged me wrong. When asked how they can do that without contacting me to inform me, they responded "WELL HOW COULD WE?! We looked for your number! You got the services right? Prices are posted there!" Yes. Prices were posted clearly, I didn't see the 15 mins massage was $50+ so that is on me because I wouldn't have received it if I knew how expensive it was. My point and my biggest grievance is that I was charged $50 when I left and at some point between Saturday the 6th and Monday or Tuesday the 8th and 9th they found a way to "contact the merchant" but not me so that I could authorize the charge. Had they explained it to me, I would have said "Oh of course, definitely want to pay what I owe." They didn't do that. They took upon themselves to charge my card without explaining the situation and made it seem like I was being unreasonable. Very irritating, they should pay more attention when charging people and I will not be returning there. read more

I had a great experience here today. I came in for a gel mani and regular pedi, and both were excellent. The total cost was $57 which is about $7 more than I usually pay, but it was worth it. They pulled out all the stops. They offered me water, tea and a heating pad for my neck during the pedicure. They also included a heel soak which is usually extra. Then during the manicure they gave me special gloves to protect against the UV rays and a heated back massage which was great. They included a hot stone massage for both the mani and pedi which was very nice. The staff members are professional and kind, and the location is clean. I've been here twice and each time I've been unsatisfied. The first time I went it was closer to closing, so I blamed myself. However, my technician rushed through my nails so much so that they were crooked and just not very good. Everyone else around me got those heated neck pillow and a shoulder massage except for me! The second time I went I came during the day, this was almost two Thursday's ago, and I feel like I got the same treatment. Except this time I got the pillow but never a massage like literally everyone else in the salon. Additionally it took her almost two, two and half, hours to do a full set of gels. My finger was crooked because she put too much gel on and didn't even bother to buff it down. Yesterday I woke up and my nail just fell off and three of my other nails were lifting/had cracks in them. I'm not rough with my hands and it had been less than two weeks. For $95 bucks (NOT including tip) that was not a worthwhile experience. I definitely will not be going there again. Terrible customer service, she rushed through the end of my time because she was running late for a bridal party and wasn't even paying attention anymore. Go to 3D Nails in Kenvil instead, much better service, great people, it's cheaper, and the work they do there is incredible. read more

Very unsanitary! Our experience (bridal party of 5) started out poorly and we should have left without getting our nails done. We arrived 5 minutes early for our appointment and we immediately let someone we were here. The person walked walked away without saying anything and 5 minutes later someone else came up to ask us what we were all having done. Manicures and pedicures. Then she had is pick our colors and walked away. At this point it is 10 minutes after our noon appointment time. It is also very clear that there are no empty chairs or free staff to even start one persons nails. We stood around for another 10 minutes until someone asked us to have a seat. We had hoped since we had the appointment that we would be able to sit next to each other for our pedicures, but that was not an option. They told 3 of us to sit for pedicures, one to sit for a manicure and the other waited. We couldn't sit because the chairs they directed us to still had dirty water in them from the last person. We stood around for 15 minutes before someone came and drained them. Then we were offered tea, and sat for another 15 minutes with our feet in luke warm water. The pedicures were sketchy at best. Since we had so much down time I watched as staff went from client to client, prepared tea, waxed faces, and handled different hands and feet with washing or sanitizing between. The tools used on our feet came out of a drawer and not from a sealed bag. The towels were dirty, the chairs were old and stained, the lotions and scrubs they used were in old honey containers and squirt bottles and were freezing cold when applied. I'm not one to have my nails done and I'm not picky...if this wasn't for a wedding I would have walked out. 3 out of 5 of us opted not to get manicures. I recommend finding another place to have your nails done. There are many options in the area. read more

I tried this place yesterday, and unfortunately will never return! First of all the place is way over priced, and the man that they gave me, Paul, was extremely rough. I told him numerous times you are hurting me, and appeared he didn't understand. He was yanking my hand, squeezing my fingers, and pushing back my cuticle with his dirty finger nail. I told him to stop use a tool, and stop you are hurting me! This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a nail salon. I made an appointment for this salon and showed up 30 minutes late due to getting lost. They were very busy but were understanding. The second I sat down on a pedi chair they put this warm neck ring around me, felt amazing! I also love their massage chairs, they're so welcoming. They also provide you water. The service here is definitely the best I've ever had. I love the heel cream they put on you and all the massaging and hot stone stuff they do. Wish I had read reviews before going here. I'm not a complainer but I am so annoyed about this I have to share so it doesn't happen to someone else. I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi today. I had never been here but decided to give it a try, so I called to see if they had any specials and to make an appointment. No specials but they got me in no problem. My appointment was at 3:30pm. The place is beautiful, they have extras like a heated neck pad and these gloves with lotion in them....however; I believe the guy who did my nails was brand new, maybe his first day ever doing nails. He cut my toe when doing my pedicure, cutting my nails - he went too close to the skin and clipped it, then didn't santize or put anything on it...fine no big deal, I'm treating myself, I'll take care of it when I get home. Then, he does my manicure and so carefully painted the color, but then GLOPPED the clear on. I told him it was bumpy and he needed to go over the clear with a brush, not more nail polish. He didn't really understand me, so I said forget it, it's not a big deal. I sat under the dryer for 3 "button pushes" and one of the ladies put another clear on top that she said would help it dry quicker. It is now 7pm - I have been home for 2 hours which means it's been drying for 2 and a half hours AND IT IS STILL WET and just smudged because he put so much clear top coat on. I did nothing when I got home, literally sat on the couch for 2 hours hoping it would be dry. Just grabbed a blanket and the picture shows what happened. $50 with tip, and I am not happy and will never go back here. read more

The best pedicure, hands down. They take their time and you get a lot for the $25. When you come in, they wrap a hot wrap around your neck, offer you water or green tea and sit you in a nice massage chair. They put blue salts in the water. You get hot stones, wax treatments, honey and aloe massages. They don't skimp on the massages and when you're drying, they'll come do the neck and back massage with hot towels as well. Really unimpressed. Went in well before 6pm on a week day. There were 3 customers in there. I said i wanted a manicure. He said ok and gave me a price. When i said i had a gift card (that i got for mothers day) he turned to the girl behind him, she shook her head, and all of a sudden they didnt have time for me because they were closing in over an hour. Needless to say ill be giving the gift card away and going to the place i usually go. They fit me in no matter what time it is even if all the chairs are full. I really hate to leave a bad review but I must save another person from having the type of experience that I did today. My appointment was at April 22, 12:45. I wasn't seen until 1:25. The woman I worked with (Name tag read Young) never greeted me, never offered me a bottle of water like everyone else's nail technician did (I had to ask a pedicure assistant for a bottle of water and then my nail technician snapped at me that I should've asked her before and I looked at her and said "no one else had to ask their technician, they were offered"), she never massaged me like everyone else's nail technician did, never spoke to me, nor did she listen to my request as to what I wanted to do with my nails. She did it her way. I had a lot of water damage under my nails and rather than clipping it off and refilling them...she refused and started putting super glue all over my nails, they looked awful no matter how much she tried to sand them down, they looked so disgusting underneath that I could not do my clear French. I told her I feared infection and that I would not be able to do my clear French with my colored tips with how badly they looked. She told me that if she clipped off the water damage and refilled them, it would look worse. I explained to her that my usual nail technician at another place (ci ci nails) always does it that way and that they looked beautiful, Young ignored me and kept doing it her way. I had to put my colors back for my tips and just get a different color to do over the whole nail because of how bad they looked. I paid for my service but I could not tip her with how awful of a job she did. At the same time this was happening another girl had came in very upset about her gel nails being completely cracked and lifting from her fingernails. I couldn't believe it. So I was not alone in this situation as there were two of us in the salon that were very upset. This process took 2 and 1/2 hours for a simple acrylic fill procedure. My preferred salon was not open but they take 45 min tops. With design. Ladies and gentlemen, please don't waste your money here. If you do, do a pedicure or manicure only. Cane here for the first time.. I asked for a pedicure, and thought they were "upcharging" me for some type of spa treatment.. but nope! This is their normal pedicure treatment and it was amazing... I had a neck warmer put on me, a honey treatment on my legs, paraffin wax on my heels, a hot towel massage, hot stones, and very meticulous care.
