Is this the new 2023 thing happening with all restaurants ? I ordered a lunch chicken salad sandwich. It does not come with your choice of salad, soup or fries. Just the sandwich which wasn't that tasty. All extra sides come with a separate cost ! Definitely the cost of eating out has gotten more expensive. Hey what a lovely find along the way to Yosemite we became hungry hungry for we grub and weren't sure if we were going to find a good healthy brunch. Granted this cafe doesn't look like it might because they definitely have the usual excellent heavy brunch fare but the menu is just varied enough that there really are a lot of options for meat eaters vegetarians and just a our everyone in between. The coffee is very good. I had a veggie omelette and it was fluffy and filled with gorgeous vegetables. The service was friendly and efficient. I purchased a 6 pack of assorted cookies that were 50%off. I used my $10 award certificate to pay. I was charged an additional $3.00 for the cookies. I paid $13.00 for six day old cookies that were clearly marked 50% off the purchase price. I questioned the person why it was so much and did she take the discount. She said yes and that the price of the cookies went up in price. I checked my receipt when I got back to my car and "NO" she didn't give me the 50% off. I went back in and the same person that helped me argued with me that she did in fact take the 50% off. When I showed her the tag, it finally dawned on her. However, she only gave me $3 back instead of $6.50 back. The over charge should have been $3.50 and then the additional $3 that I spent originally. read more

Stopped off the freeway for lunch after hours on the road. It was easy to find and easy to get back on the road when we were done. Everything from the decor and cleanliness, to the sweet welcome from the Hostess, to the beautiful pastries in the case, to the delicious food and prompt, friendly service was perfect. Waited almost 10 minutes before we were acknowledged to add us to the waiting list. (There were several empty, clean tables, and about 9 servers). We were given menus, a napkin and a fork. Hubby stirred his coffee with the fork as no one came to check on us or take our order. She was very sweet but I don't think had ever been trained. She did a good job when hubbies eggs were undercooked. The $31.00 (!) 3-egg California omelette was swimming in a pool of griddle oil, and the country potatoes were tasteless. The server dropped off the food and left before hubby could ask for a knife to spread butter on his french toast. He again used the fork. Lots of servers standing around, and the manager (?) visiting with them. No semblance of customer service... This was the 3rd time we've been here, won't be back. read more

I'd hate to rate jantz 2 stars but I couldn't find a valid reason to give it a generous 5. The last few times that I've been here service was unattentive & quite unfriendly as you can see five girls just chilling behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. I was eating my fruit bowl and turned away to pick up a call. As soon as I turned around the waitress had already wipe out all the dishes from the table as sat there blanked with a fork still in my hand mid-air, that was quite disappointing and rude. The taco breakfast was horrible, expensive & should be removed from the menu. I find it as an insult to Mexican tacos & American breakfast. The eggs were so beat up that it was as if im eating burnt scraps from the bottom of a pan, there is no specific flavor to it. The chipotle sauce was missing had to ask for it, chipotle sauce was too sweet. I completely gave up and just drowned the entire meal in 10 packs of hot sauce. Someone needs to work with the servers and their attitudes at this establishment. I went in one day to pick up an order that I had placed on the phone. I'm not sure if it was because I entered wearing sweatpants or something but I was automatically starred down by a majority of the women working there. The lady who was handling my phone order barely even wanted to talk to me and did not have an ounce of good customer service. She would walk away from me randomly and just leave me standing there. It took everything out of me not to punch that rude ass girl in her face but unlike them I have some respect so I kept my cool. The food was tasty! The sauce in the chicken wrap was amazing. The chili was the best chili I have had in a really long time. My sister loved the tritip. The meat was flavorful with a smoky touch. Ive been wanting to come here for a while and give this place a try. I ordered the farmers breakfast. I had bacon, eggs, and a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was good I only wish the gravy had more flavor. I really had to put a lot of pepper on it. I had black coffee and orange juice to drink. For dessert I had a slice of apricot pie and it was very delicious! I would say that was the best thing I have there today. I will definitely come back. The service was really good and prompt. When I come back I will probably order something different than what I had today. I borderline on giving it three stars versus four stars. Four stars was because I had really good service. There are lots of other delicious looking things on the menu that I do want to try and I recommend you do too. read more

I've had the chicken salad sandwich practically ever time I go, it's so good. Only once out of the 20 plus times I've had it was if different and I think the seasoning were left out.
