Food was top notch. The host informed me that they bake and prepare almost everything. He said very few items are bought that need to be frozen. The area is well lit and even played Mexican music. Several TVs and a great selection of desserts. They have Pepsi!!!!

Super attentive service. Everything was very tasty. I had the Country Eggs Benedict, however with hollandaise sauce, I ate every bite. The only downside is they don't offer latte's and the lame excuse they have on why they don't offer them is it would be a conflict of interest with Starbucks in the same shopping center!! That's a nice way of saying they just don't want to spend the money on a espresso machine.

Went here for breakfast. The food is basic breakfast food. The quality was standard and perfectly acceptable, just nothing super exciting. I needed to add salt and hot sauce since it was a bit bland. The most disappointing thing was they don't offer lattes or different coffee drinks. The service was great, very attentive.

Love this place! Great music, fast friendly service and killer food! Giant portion of beer battered zucchini fries and a mimosa hit the spot! And those pies!! So tempting!

Food is great! Amazing sun exposure early I. The morning, it's start to get busy perhaps they can set the out door area, and make sure the one staff older lady smiles more, she is very rude! And is not the person to wake up too. Merced is a community either sunshine we need that energy for coming to this place to start our days and long hard work weekend. Overall the chef needs a price the food is so good that I can forget about the rest! Seating should be a bit quicker if they have tables, instead of saying someone call out!

Second time coming here and the food is always good. First time I got a breakfast burrito and I think I liked it a bit more. The chicken fried steak needed a bit more seasoning but it was still good. The service though is great and the place is also nice and cute.

I come here with my uncle at least once a month for breakfast, sometimes once a week. The food is literally the best, the steak, the eggs Benedict, the hamburgers, the meatloaf, and the pies are everything we always save room for pie or carrot cake. The service is always amazing never had a bad time here and will keep coming back every month.

The food is very straightforward. Typical diner options. The new location is nice and the servers are kind. The pies were delicious!

I chose this place over panda. Wanted to try something different. It was a mistake. The service is nice but I'm not a fan of the interior. Just not visually please to sit and eat at. I can't tell you about the food because I only order the hamburger and it sucked. And I paid $30 which is in my opinion too much. I will probably will not be coming back.

Scott's Diner in Merced is always a win, and today was no exception. We were on our way to a hike…read morein Mariposa and wanted a Mexican breakfast that would actually power us through the trail--Scott's delivered in every way. We asked if they could do a special order: a burrito deconstructed, with over-easy eggs and the tortillas on the side. They were totally accommodating, and it was exactly what I was craving--fresh, filling, and seriously delicious. I went for the blueberry pancakes, and wow: they were enormous, fluffy, packed with real blueberries, and basically the perfect pre-hike fuel. And the coffee? Amazing, as always. I meant to take a picture of my food, but honestly I accidentally didn't--because everything looked so good that I dug in immediately. And even without the photo evidence, the presentation and plating were incredible, just like they always are. This place has my heart. I'd give it a hundred stars if I could--highly, highly recommend.

Staff here are friendly, there's a solid bit of history and kitsch in the very back on the way to the restrooms, giving character to what is otherwise a decidedly local, low-frills experience. The steak salad (was it a steak taco salad?) looked quite tasty but also ordinary so I skipped it and stuck with breakfast; the sausage and eggs were very much unremarkable, but at least the hashbrowns were nicely pan fried and the eggs were a large portion. Biscuit and gravy reinforced the former impression, but again, hard to complain-- did the job. This place is super affordable and the overall verdict is a solid local place that's easy to appreciate but hard for me to say I would actually get excited about.

It's definitely located in a getto area can't even enjoy the meal outside when you got a group of people in the parking lot blasting music and being obnoxious. We didn't grow up with a lot so we didn't go to expensive restaurants. But when we got to go to Sizzler or Norms, it was a treat. I am in town visiting in Merced, and I have come to this location twice now. Once for dinner in June and again today for lunch. Both visits were amazing! And I am not saying that for the review, I mean it. The first time I came, I had dinner. I ordered the steak special, and I had one time trip to the salad bar. It's exactly how I remembered it. As a little girl growing up, because, as an adult, I don't honestly really go to Sizzler anymore, unless my mom says she wants to go, and my grandparents have been in heaven for about 20 years...so it brought back memories from my childhood for sure! And I love their iced tea too! What impressed me about today's visit is that the manager was at the the cashier station when I came today. I didn't look at her name tag right away. But she greeted me with familiarity, like she's met you before, we talked about the menu options. Because I wanted to go to the salad bar for a little salad. But I also want some protein, so she told me a way that I could have both and also save a little money. I followed her advice and then I told her what a great person she is to be working at the front end of the restaurant because I worked myself through college in the restaurant industry as well. Then I noticed her name tag, ANDREA, Manager. I smiled at her and I said, no wonder you're the manager. You are gifted at what you do. I put my stuff down on my table, and then I went to get my one time trip to the salad bar. As I was making my salad and getting my fruit, I heard her grieving the next couple of customers that came in. She was warm and friendly and welcoming to everyone. I'd stood out to me the most. Was this one gentleman wearing what looks like motorcycle attire? I don't know what to call it... He had a helmet in his hand. She said, "it's so great to see you again! Remind me of your name. I'll do my best to remember it for next time you're here"... I looked over at her, she was looking right at him and he looked exhausted and weary and hot... Her face was so warm and she looked at him with sincerity. Andrea is the manager at the Sizzler on Olive. My beautiful waitress is Ashleigh. She is going to have a baby in the fall, and she has the most beautiful smile ever. She is running this dining area like she is at home. Greeting everybody, welcoming everybody, and serving everyone like you're in her home dining room or living room. Look for her, the one with a pretty smile, having a baby in November, and you will be so blessed that you came to THIS SIZZLER! The food is great. Salabar's yummy. I personally love the iced tea. Cheese toast best in the world... At this SIZZLER, I came back for the hospitality, the customer service, and the warm smiles. And I'll be back again later this week!
