This coffee shop is cute with a small upstairs area and great coffee options. I came with a small group and one thing we all loved is the metal water cups, so great added touch! I also love all the plants that add to the ambience. There is a horchata cold brew drink that isn't on the menu that is highly recommended! read more

I love my once a year visit on Memorial Day before starting the Bolder Boulder and so must everyone else because it's always packed in there! Compliments to the staff for holding it down so well despite the crowd. They make some really good coffee, have an exceptionally friendly staff and a wonderful space to sit in. We chose a table upstairs to keep our wild children more contained and it was nice and chill up there. They even had some toys to entertain the kids with! I'll be back next year :) read more

Nice staff and coffee/food were good, but it's way expensive. $12 for a small latte (as in kids cup) and croissant. I don't normally blink an eye on prices but that one had me do a double take. Not worth the price IMO. read more

Great iced coffees, good atmosphere, kind baristas and service. I'm a fan of a hip cafe but I still want to know if they can pull off a good espresso shot and do well with the milk temp and overall taste. Cortado was okay, milk extremely hot, couldn't even hold the glass and had to wait for it to cool off. Espresso was okay, a little burnt taste, not great. I'll give it another shot, but for the premium price you're paying for coffee nowadays, I'm hoping it's always a hit. read more

Stopped by today for coffee with a friend and had a downright disappointing experience. On a day when the air quality in Boulder is so bad that it is rated as "unhealthy" (165 aqi) both doors in the shop were propped open. When I asked the manager if he'd mind closing the doors, the barista chimed in with "those doors are opening all day long" and an eye roll. Then the manager launched into a description of how the HVAC is inadequate and the staff are hot with the doors closed. Really? So you'd rather your staff and customers breathe smoke choked air than have the proper HVAC to cool your cafe?? I ordered a turmeric tea which was served in a plastic teabag. And sat upstairs where the music was so loud I could hardly hear my friend. Cool, not only do I get to inhale smoke, but I get a dose of micro plastics, ear ringing, and an eye roll to boot. It's really too bad. Great location if only more attention were paid to the actual experience. read more

Wow! Was blown away by the coffee professionals (Kristy & John, I believe) who gave me such a wonderful cafe experience. The grand opening was on the 1st but the few weeks leading up they were sampling their products and I'm in love! Absolutely the best latte I've ever had in my life. It was a special, but if you can get a Sweater Weather, do it. It has "fall spices" as well as orange flavor. They literally twisted an orange peel so it squirted juice into the latte, then dropped the peel in. It was a finely crafted drink. We got it iced, with oat milk, and I want to move to Boulder now so I can enjoy one regularly. Love, love, love. Oh, the place is cool inside too. All good things. read more

January Coffee was a very nice coffee shop; I stopped here on my last morning in Boulder to get some work done. The place was super busy, but there's also plenty of seating (although most of the tables were occupied on a Friday morning). I got a cold brew which tasted great. Baristas are friendly. Overall nice vibe and chill spot to get some work done or catch up with friends. Would definitely recommend. Also, walking distance from the downtown Boulder Marriott (~20 minutes). read more

Very mediocre coffee at best. I wanted to like it as it was not my first time here but after my recent experience, I decided not to continue to support this business. Specifically did not have a good experience with the owner. We did not have any prior interactions with him so his behavior seemed arbitrary. We waited patiently behind another customer as the owner was chatting and being friendly with him. When it was our turn, he just stared at us as we walked up to the counter. No acknowledgment, no smiling, no "Hi, how can I help you". The awkward silence was finally broken by us greeting him. The rest of the exchange was very bland, and unwelcoming. His cold demeanor made me feel like he was doing me favor. Other than that space was clean and seating is limited. Will probably opt for another coffee spot where they atleast show the minimum courtesy to a customer. read more

Best coffee. Their "Adventure" drip is always an amazing single origin. Not a great food selection, better options would make it five stars.

Came in around 30 min before close and got their house espresso, the geometry blend. I expected to get it in a to go cup because most shops will stop for here drinks an hour before close to avoid a dish pile up, but they gave it to me for here with a side of sparking water which is great as an espresso drinker. The espresso was slightly over extracted, but packed with great flavor and had nice punchy and fruity notes. Overall 8/10 espresso. The awesome guy on register offered to give me a shot of their single origin Burundi espresso on the house which I accepted and the Burundi was a little more over extracted, but still great. It complimented milk very well (since I got a 1 and 1) and definitely a great espresso with milk. Overall 9/10. The shop is a very nice, relaxing aesthetic and the workers are super kind. They have a great selection of coffee featuring onyx and mother tongue. They were also playing a lot of soul music which I LOVE. Would 10/10 come here again.
